Cultivation Through Artifacts

Chapter 354 - A Completely New World

Chapter 354 - A Completely New World

In an unknown world where the sky was azure blue filled with huge chunks of floating rocks almost akin to oversized meteorites and where the scenery on the ground was as colorful as the most complex kaleidoscopic piece of art throughout all the Cultivation Realms existing, a black portal seemingly molded from black matter formed slowly out of thin air before a young boy wearing a silver robe fell out, landing on the crimson grass face-first.

BAM!

"Argh... The ground is kind of... cold..." rubbing his nose and forehead with a slight painful grimace, Khal stood up slowly and looked around only to get dumbstruck by the breathtaking scenery around him.

"So this is the Zero Realm?" Khal mumbled in a low voice as he was mesmerized by the sight around him, but quickly was snapped out of his daze as suddenly the back of his neck turned numb and cold sweat began to soak his back!

"Shit!" tilting his head to the side without hesitation, Khal activated his Heaven's Eyes and watched as a small object akin to a thin but sharp needle flew away just inches away from his right cheek, obviously its target was the middle of his head a few seconds ago!

Swish!

Watching as the spike flew away and crashed into a yellow tree in the distance, demolishing its seemingly rock-solid trunk into small pieces of tree crust and dust, Khal swallowed nervously as he imagined what the sight would have been if that thing exploded into his head instead!

'That was too close!' Khal sighed in his heart before his eyes turned firm and with the help of his Heaven's Eyes backtracked the previous attacks' route in a split second.

"Found you!" narrowing his eyes as his gaze instantly fixed on a beast in the far distance, seemingly being a hybrid between a scorpion and a porcupine with size as huge as a human baby, Khal scanned its body and evaluated its cultivation base silently.

"It's at the Peak Ascender Stage? No wonder it was able to pose a slight threat to me just now." Khal said to himself, but when he watched as the creature moved and fired several more of its spikes from its back at him again with obvious sign of killing intent, he just sneered and withdrew his Soul Piercer before firing a black arrow at the beast.

Whoosh!

With a speed that was hard to track, the black arrow blurred several times as it traveled through the air before it reappeared in front of the creature's face and pierced right through its head!

Thud!

Watching as the beast fell onto the ground lifelessly like a ragdoll, Khal didn't waste any more time and after kicking his feet against the ground below him he began to move toward a specific direction.

Of course, the reason why he left the Beast Essence behind was not because he forgot about it, but because he simply had no choice. If he decided to go and consume the essence as he did until now, then there was a huge risk of him getting ambushed by a way stronger beast from the dark which would mean his definite end without question.

Currently, he was inside the Zero Realm, a world where creatures from all over the existing Realms dwelled and lived. Hence, taking the risk of lowering his guard for a split second just to replenish the amount of essence in his body just a little was, of course, out of the question.

[Try not to use any of your skills or Talents, especially not your Perfect Disguise, so you can avoid being spotted by stronger creatures. As a fact, you can already consider yourself lucky for not getting killed after using your Talent and bow.]

Khal nodded scarcely upon hearing Nova's voice and quickly deactivated his Heaven's Eyes to make his body emit not even an ounce of cultivation aura, becoming almost completely invisible! What's more, he replaced his invisible armor with his Chameleon Armor, helping him to bend into his surroundings even more than before.

Now, he was completely one with the world around him with no aura emitting from his body, hence the possibility of creatures spotting him and hunting him down now was as low as one finding a needle in a haystack!

'According to the book, if I want to get back to the First Realm I need to follow a green star on the sky, which must be that right up there.' thinking to himself, Khal raised his eyes toward the sky and watched with a firm gaze as a small, flickering green star akin to a piece of emerald glowed brightly on the blue sky that was filled with a seemingly endless amount of huge chunks of floating boulders and rocks!

Each of those boulders was massive enough to demolish all the continents on Ephus upon impact, wiping out all the living beings on its surface once and for all without any chance to resist or hope for survival!

But luckily, such monstrous objects three to four times the size of the biggest mountain in the First Realm did not exist, so fearing such things as extinction or total annihilation was completely meaningless.

[Hide! Now!]

As Khal was running through forests and wastelands with different colors that were akin to sceneries inside a fantasy novel, Nova's sudden worried voice appeared, forcing Khal to halt his steps and without a second thought jumped into a small pit on the side that was seemingly formed by some small creature.

SCHRIIIIEEEEK!

And just as he did, a cry that made the surrounding ground shake and all the lurking creatures on it tremble in pure fear echoed throughout the air while the once colorful scenery gradually began to get engulfed with deep darkness and chaotic winds, almost like a storm was on the verge of breaking out!

"That is a.... Creature?" Khal's pupils shrunk to the size of a needle as he watched the humongous thing in the sky soar through the air, only one of its wings exceeding more than ten miles alone and creating towering hurricanes in the far distance by a single flap of it!
