Chapter 734 - Looking Forward to the Future
Chapter 734: Looking Forward to the Future
I was full of expectations for the future.
No matter what, I had to cure cousin Mo’s illness first so that the shadow of the Phoenix Blood could be dispelled.
I had several memories of drifting on the sea. They were all gray and painful. I had never felt so comfortable before.
My youngest uncle, Qu Hao, cousin Mo, and Jing Tian had regular meeting times every day. They were very busy.
The few of us girls worked and then had fun on the ship.
I liked to bask in the sun on the deck.
Xiao Yi was the most considerate. She gave me a sun umbrella and prepared drinks, snacks, and books.
I felt like I was on vacation.
Ye Qian saw me as soon as she walked up from the cabin. She couldn’t help but sigh. “You’re the best at enjoying life.”
I motioned for her to come over for some sunshade and snacks. “Is cousin still in the meeting?” I asked her.
“Yes.” Ye Qian sat down beside me and declined my snacks.
I took a sip of my drink and let out a long breath. “I was thinking that if I just kept floating on the sea like this, I actually quite like it, even though it sounds a little selfish.”
Ye Qian chuckled. “That’s easy. I’ll prepare a yacht for you. You can go over whenever you want.”
“Ye Qian, you’re really too rich!” I lazily said.
“Money is just a worldly possession. Why not spend it if you’ve earned it?” Ye Qian smiled. “That is what Master San often says,” Ye Qian added.
I sighed in admiration. “Cousin Mo really knows everything!”
Ye Qian’s face was filled with happiness.
I lowered my voice and told her, “Little uncle is preparing for your wedding!”
Ye Qian blushed. “Shouldn’t he and Mai Qi get married first?”
I smiled. “If we were to hold our wedding one by one, it would be really lively. Then, it’d be Qu Hao marrying his little sister, Jing Tian marrying his niece, and finally Cousin Mo and me. It’s so chaotic. Why don’t we hold a group wedding?”
Ye Qian pursed her lips and smiled without saying a word.
I thought, “We don’t even have a decent elder, so we’ll have to leave this matter to Auntie Lan and Auntie Bai Rui.”
Ye Qian reached out and tapped my forehead. “Why do you spend your time thinking about these pointless things always?”
I retorted, “How can it be considered pointless? This is our lifelong happiness!”
Ye Qian suddenly sighed softly and looked towards the sea. She muttered, “Nanxing, I have an unreal feeling. How can I have such happiness? Why does it feel like a dream? I’m so worried that I’d wake up, and all of this will disappear.”
I reached out and patted her hand. “Don’t be like this. I think you have some PTSD. Ye Qian, don’t think so much about it. Isn’t Ye Qian just a person who will do anything to achieve her goal? I mean that as a compliment.”
Ye Qian smiled. “Nanxing, thank you!”
I dug my ears. “Please, don’t thank me anymore. It’s making me like such an outsider. If you continue to treat me like this, I won’t be able to be your relative or friend in the future.”
She smiled but didn’t say anything else.
She was like a new Ye Qian. She was in a similar mood as I was when I had just been reborn. Therefore, I silently remembered all the good things that I had obtained with great difficulty after my rebirth.
