?

One thing was pretty obvious to the twins. The guard who gave them the information lied to them. However, neither Rean nor Roan detected any lies coming from the guy, which means even he didn't know he gave them the wrong information. Nonetheless, what was done was done, so the twins had to deal with it.

Waritala looked at how easily Rean took control of her slaughtering formation. That formation was no joke, and even Waritala, who made it herself, would have a hard time escaping from it.

In the next second, Waritala felt a slight fluctuation coming from the other formations in the mansion. She always had entire control over them, but now, she could not connect to the formations anymore. The protection formation's power intensified, which was obviously done so she couldn't escape either.

Waritala's attention returned to the twins, narrowing her eyes. "Just who are you? I can understand using the flaws to get past my formation, but taking control of them is another story. You... could it be..."

Rean didn't answer, though. "Sorry, it is my little secret."

Waritala wasn't ready to give up just yet. "Don't play dumb with me. It's the Arch

Corporation, isn't it? To think they would go as far as to send someone down to the Mortal World after me. This is ridiculous!"

Rean and Roan looked at each other. Arch Corporation? They had never heard about it. Of course, they had no intention of changing her mind either. Let someone else take the blame. That's their motto for today. "Seems like you understand your predicament. You might be in the Middle Stage of the Void Tempering Realm, but with this formation of yours in my hands, I doubt you have a way out. Of course, both of us made plenty of arrangements to make up for the difference in case we need to fight directly."

Waritala looked at her own formation, but she got confused. "Then why haven't you made your move yet? Just end the job. Dead bodies can not talk."

"We have no intention of killing you," Rean quickly made that clear. "It was indeed the Arch Corporation that contracted us, but we also have some better ideas in mind. Would you like to hear? Believe me, this might be a great deal for both of us."

Waritala snorted. "Hmph! As if it was that simple. The Arch Corporation would never risk their hands with people who could betray them. You are not really their puppets, are you? Seems like I was wrong to make assumptions. Who are you, for real?"

"Well, that was over pretty fast," Roan commented on the side. "Can I put her to sleep already, or do you want to talk even more?"

Rean scratched the back of his head, feeling helpless. The whole point of this was to take Waritala down before she could think or notice anything. Now she knows about them... although they have completely different appearances. "We want to go to the Divine Realm. Can you arrange it without raising any suspicions?"

Roan's mouth twitched. They could put her to sleep, and then Rean could copy her Werdlem Stone ID. Yet, he wanted to ask her to help them? Could she be trusted at all, especially since they invaded her mansion?

Sure enough, Waritala noticed the same issues. "Even if I say I can, why would you believe me? I can totally go back on my word and denounce you two when I'm safe. Then you are done for sure."

Rean faintly smiled. "Let's just say I have a way to make you go back to the Divine Realm and completely disappear. You will assume a new identity and no one will be able to trace you ever again. Of course, as long as you don't try to cause trouble with your new identity, that is. Would you be interested?"

Rean was certain of one thing after they made their investigation, Waritala did hold quite a high position in the Divine Realm base. She could definitely arrange for them to go up. By using that connection, things could be a lot simpler, and they could pin down the blame on Waritala instead. It wouldn't be a problem since she would also disappear.

"This..." Sure enough, Waritala's heart moved a little. Why would she stay in the Mortal World of her own accord? The thing about the Arch Corporation wasn't something she invented. If that was the case, Rean, and especially Roan, would have picked up that lie instantly. She was here because she truly had no other choice. Her life depended on it. *Zin, zin, zin, zin...*

Suddenly, all the blades pointing at Waritala disappeared, and all the formations were turned off. The control of the formations was also given back to Waritala, much to her surprise. The only formation that was kept active was the concealing formation of the mansion, which prevented those from outside from seeing what was happening inside.

Roan felt annoyed, but he didn't intervene. This was indeed an approach that wouldn't require them to steal anyone's identity, which was better if it worked. But then again, it also carried its own risks. He would have to watch Waritala's response to see if she would truly get on board or not. Fortunately, he would be able to tell if she was lying, so some of the risks could be assessed straight away.

Rean crossed his hands, watching Waritala's reactions. He seemed confident on the outside, but he also understood the risks. "Let that be our first true exchange."

Waritala narrowed her eyes. "In that case, let's go somewhere else. You gave my formations back to me, but who can tell you can't take control over them again whenever you want?"

"Sure, I also have my questions, like how you found us," Rean didn't mind, nor did Roan. They would have done the same. "Where should we go?"

"Let's just fly," Waritala answered. Turns out she truly does like flying. "I doubt you will cause trouble if we fly out in the open around the city."

In the next moment, the trio departed the mansion.
