Chapter 328
Chapter 328
Chapter 328
“Hoho… I thought you were a foolish yet brave challenger. I didn’t expect you to be just a crazy fool,” Dwaitka muttered as he clicked his tongue and shook his head.
Logically speaking, nobody was going to be happy about seeing a swarm of various dangerous creatures coming toward them. Magicians capable of unleashing powerful fire attribute spells would be confident against them, but the problem was that the creatures summoned by Dwaitka were far from ordinary.
They had high resistance against fire, and quite a lot of them were tough enough to withstand most physical damage. Their Movement and Attack Speed were extremely high as well, which meant that dealing with so many of them at the same time would be an extremely difficult task.
But…
“Haha! Even the Sword Masters of the continent have struggled against my creatures! This young fool must have lost his mind after seeing my—What?!”
Dwaitka’s eyes shot wide open after realizing that something was wrong.
Sseuuu…!
The challenger started emitting a thick green fog around him. The fog was quite dense, and it had a neon hue to it. Dwaitka’s instincts were screaming at him that the fog was dangerous, and it did not take long for the fog to prove his instincts right.
Thud…! Thud…! Thud…!
The locusts started falling from the sky one by one as soon as they came into contact with the fog. It seemed as if the green fog was a cloud of pesticide that specialized in killing locusts as the swarm visibly decreased in number.
However, that was not the end of the surprise...
The vipers, toads, fire ants, and the other creatures summoned by Dwaitka fell one by one as soon as they came into contact with the green fog.
“I-Impossibruuu!” Dwaitka cried out. “H-How?! Why are my summoned creatures dying?! Why?!”
The summoned creatures he was so proud of failed to threaten the challenger. Instead, they could not even approach the challenger before falling dead to the ground.
“Oh! Excellent! More! Give me moaaaaar! Come to Papa!”
The challenger welcomed the oncoming swarm of creatures with open arms as he encouraged them to swarm toward him.
‘Jackpoooot!’
The challenger—no, Siegfried was extremely grateful for Dwaitka right now.
‘Who would have known there was such a honey pot in this jungle?! Hell yeah!’
The millions of creatures summoned by Dwaitka were extremely easy to deal with. After all, there was no way these mere creatures could withstand the Green Dragon’s radioactive energy.
Sseuuuu…!
Dwaitka’s creatures were dying in droves even though Siegfried was simply standing with Irradiate active. The creatures had fire resistance, light resistance, and a bunch of other resistance, but they were living creatures at the end of the day, so they were vulnerable to the Green Dragon’s radioactive energy.
Thanks to that, Siegfried obtained a ridiculous amount of experience points without lifting even a single finger.
[Alert: You have obtained Experience Points!]
[Alert: You have obtained Experience Points!]
[Alert: You have obtained Experience Points!]
…
[Alert: You have obtained Experience Points!]
[Alert: Your level has risen!]
[Alert: You have reached Level 243!]
Siegfried had to have killed millions of creatures by now, but it was a shame that he only leveled up once. However, gaining a single level in itself was already amazing as the total experience points he required to gain a level were in the hundreds of millions.
“Hey! Is that it? Don’t you have more?” Siegfried asked.
“…”
“Can’t you call a little bit more? I’m not satisfied with that…” Siegfried grumbled while seemingly dissatisfied, and then he carefully asked, “Maybe a wave or two more…?”
“I-I have no more…” Dwaitka muttered.
“Really?” Siegfried asked in response with a severely disappointed look, and then he asked again just to confirm, “You really don’t have any more than that?”
“Y-Yeah…”
“Then I guess that’s all you have to offer?”
“All I have to offer…?”
“Yeah, it’s time for some beating.”
“Beating?”
“You should’ve been prepared to pay the price for wasting my time with your babbling, no?” Siegfried said as he gripped his +15 Gaia’s Fist and walked toward Dwaitka.
***
“Oh my god!”
“Our chieftain is…!”
“Chieftain!”
The Hogwa Tribesmen couldn’t believe the horrible sight unfolding in front of their eyes.
“Ack! Kwak! Keeeek!”
Their mighty chieftain, Dwaitka—the mightiest Voodoo Shaman in the Great Jungle—was getting beaten to a pulp by the challenger from the continent.
Chwak!
“Hey, why don’t you try wasting my time again?” Siegfried asked as he slapped the chieftain.
“I… apologize…”
“I told you I’m busy, yet you insisted on wasting my time with your blabbering.”
Siegfried smacked Dwaitka’s arm, legs, back, and head while berating him, but the Hogwa Tribesmen could not save their chieftain.
Why?
The laws of the Great Jungle Challenge prevented them from doing so, as the duel was strictly a one-on-one duel. They could not interfere even if the challenger from the continent was about to kill their chieftain.
This was the law of the jungle.
Siegfried paused his beating and said, “Hey.”
“Y-Yes, sir!”
“Do you know where the other tribes are?”
“Yes, I do! I might not know where all of them are, but I certainly know where the Bullman Tribe’s village is!”
“Really? Then lead the way.”
“Most certainly, sir! A chieftain who lost to the challenger is obligated to lead the way to the next tribe! I will personally escort you there so… please don’t… kill me…”
“Then cough up more of your creatures.”
“I… really don’t have…”
“Really? Then…” Siegfried muttered before he raised his +15 Gaia’s Fist.
“Great Challenger-nim!” Dwaitka exclaimed as he clung to Siegfried’s legs, and then he started begging, “Please spare me! I have a wife and kids at home! Please!”
“Waaaah!”
“Ahjussi! Please spare my father! Please!”
Dwaitka’s wife and kids rushed out and knelt in front of Siegfried. Then, they started begging for his life.
“D-Dear! Don’t come here! Anyone who interferes in the Great Jungle Challenge can be killed simply for intervening! Please, Great Challenger-nim! Do what you want with me, but please spare my wife and children!” Dwaitka begged.
He was worried that Siegfried would think of harming his wife and kids, so he bowed to the ground and offered his life in exchange for his family’s safety.
A father.
The Hogwa Tribe’s chieftain, Dwaitka, was a husband and a father.
“W-What are you talking about?” Siegfried grumbled as he lowered his +15 Gaia’s Fist, and then he said, “Who’s killing who? I just wanted to hit you a few times because you wasted my time, that’s all…”
“R-Really? Are you not going to kill me?”
“Do you want me to?”
“N-No, sir!”
“Do you think I’m a bloodthirsty murderer or what?” Siegfried grumbled once again as he stashed his +15 Gaia’s Fist away, and then he said, “I’m not going to kill you, so hurry up and lead the way.”
“T-Thank you! Thank you, Great Challenger-nim!” Dwaitka bowed once again and thanked Siegfried.
“Thank you, kind sir! Thank you very much…!”
“Ahjussi…! Thank you!”
“Thank you for not killing my father…!”
Dwaitka’s family bowed toward Siegfried and thanked him.
‘How can I kill him when his family’s begging like that? I’m doing this for my wife and kid too, so—Anyway, I had no plans of killing him in the first place anyway.’
Siegfried did not harbor any grudge or hatred toward Dwaitka in the first place. He only beat the latter up to a pulp because the latter had wasted his time.
“Hand it over.”
“Pardon me…?”
“That insignia or whatever that thing is.”
“Ah, yes, sir!”
Dwaitka ran off somewhere and came back holding a green badge of some sort.
“Please take this, Great Challenger-nim! This is the insignia of our Hogwa Tribe!”
“Thanks,” Siegfried replied as he took the badge with some sort of an insect engraved on it.
[Alert: You have obtained the ‘Hogwa Tribe Insignia’!]
[Alert: The progress of Quest – ‘Great Jungle Challenge’ has increased by 20%! (1/5)]
A message informing him of his quest progress popped up in front of his eyes.
“Alright, lead the way to that Bullman Tribe or something.”
“Yes, sir! I will personally escort you there!” Dwaitka shot up from the ground and exclaimed in response.
Siegfried left the Hogwa Tribe village accompanied by Dwaitka and a few tribesmen.
***
“H-Hyung-nim… Hyung-nim… Kuheok…!”
Seung-Gu was curled up and crying while completely naked.
“Please come save me… hyung-nim… sniff…!”
Large droplets of tears were falling from his eyes as he yearned for Siegfried.
Seung-Gu felt like dying after remembering the hours of humiliation he had suffered at the hands of the barbarian grandmothers.
“I know this is just a game, but that was…”
It was then.
Flap!
The cloth covering the entrance to the tent Seung-Gu was opened.
“Hoho! So you’re the Adventurer that they just caught.”
“Hiiik!” Seung-Gu squealed in horror after seeing the Amazoness who came in.
She had broad shoulders, thick arms, a thick waist, large bulky calves, and large fists that could send someone like Seung-Gu flying with a single punch. She was the exact opposite of the slender, exotic beauty Seung-Gu had imagined.
She looked strong enough to put most strong men on the continent to shame.
“Hey, an outsider.”
“Y-Yes!”
“I want a strong DNA to make strong babies with.”
“S-So…?”
“So I want you to do your best.”
“By doing my best, you mean…?”
Whoosh!
The muscular barbarian woman lunged at Seung-Gu.
“SAVE MEEEE! HYUNG-NIM!”
Seung-Gu’s cries reverberated across the village.
***
Siegfried dug his ear with his finger while on the way to the Bullman Tribe’s village.
“Hmm? Is someone talking about me?”
“What is the matter?” Amundsen asked.
“Ah, my ears are itchy,” Siegfried nonchalantly replied.
“Hohoho! Maybe someone’s talking bad about you?”
“There’s a truckload of people probably cursing me every day.”
“Hmm?”
“Let’s keep moving.”
Siegfried continued walking while picking at his ear.
Two hours later…
“Halt!”
“How dare you set foot here!”
Siegfried’s party was surrounded by thousands of barbarians, and they were all armed with a long spear.
Then, Siegfried instantly recognized the spears they were holding.
‘Hmm? Aren’t these guys…?’
It was the same spear thrown by the barbarians at the Huracan.
“Halt!”
Dwaitka stepped in as the party’s representative.
“This outsider has come to invoke his right to the Great Jungle Challenge against your chieftain, so pave the way for him!”
However, the Bullman Tribesmen simply burst out into laughter in response.
“Bwahahaha!”
“Look at this imbecile from the Hogwa Tribe! A chieftain lost against a mere outsider?”
“Keke! The Hogwa Tribe’s name has been run through the mud now!”
“What a dumbass! Serves you right for depending only on those dumb animals of yours!”
The tribesmen sneered and criticized the chieftain of the Hogwa Tribe, Dwaitka, for losing to an outsider. The Bullman Tribe was renowned among the five tribes for their aggressiveness, and they were infamous for not paying respect to others, even to other chieftains.
“T-These rascals…!” Dwaitka lashed out after failing to control his temper.
He would have summoned all of his creatures and unleashed them at the Bullman Tribesmen to show them what a chieftain was capable of, but his current strength was less than ten percent of his original strength.
In other words, he had no choice but to withstand the ridicule and insults the tribesmen were hurling at him.
“Hey, why would a chieftain like you get affected by their cheap insults?” Siegfried asked as he placed his hand on Dwaitka’s shoulder.
“B-But…”
“What happens when you talk too much?” Siegfried asked with an evil smirk.
“You get your crap beaten out of you…?” Dwaitka instinctively replied while breaking out into cold sweats.
“Bingo! You got it right!” Siegfried exclaimed with a smirk. He looked at the tribesmen and said, “Hey! I’m busy, so call your chieftain out!”
Siegfried threw down the gauntlet by invoking the Great Jungle Challenge against the Bullman Tribe.
Ten minutes later…
“Who is the insect that dares to challenge me to the Great Jungle Challenge?!”
A warrior with extremely broad shoulders emerged from the crowd. He had a booming voice full of authority, and he talked at length just like Dwaitka…
