Chapter 211 - 211 Arriving (1)

211 Arriving (1)

No matter how Blake look at it, the black fur coating his whole body from head to toe except for the back of the waist part that had a brown color, the shape of the face, even the ratio of limbs compared to the body, Blake was 99.9% sure that the goril- monkey that had just been spitted out from the portal was none other than his best friend, Robus.

The monkey crashed head-first into the ground after being teleported by the black portal, but not a single scratch can be found on its sprawled body on the ground.

“Robus? Is that you?” Blake asked from a distance, wanting to make sure that he was correct. But the monkey seemed to have also been affected by the black portal, its eyes were still closed shut and it didn’t show any signs of waking up yet.

Blake then approached the monkey closer and squatted beside the monkey. Using his hands to gently nudge the monkey, Blake shook the monkey’s body lightly and even poked the monkey’s head a couple of times before he finally got a reaction.

Feeling his body shaken, the sleeping monkey finally slowly opened up its eyes. But just as the first light from the sun above shone on its eyes, the monkey instantly grabbed its head as if a headache had just been registered to its brain.

The monkey then started thrashing around the ground as it rolled around left and right, trying to shake off the severe headache that it had never felt before in its entire life, not even when its head was punched by a 6 meters tall gorilla.

“Robus! Hey, Robus! Calm down!”

Hearing a voice that it knew all too well, the monkey then finally stopped acting violently as it tried to brace itself through the headache. Then finally, after a few seconds of staying still and reigning the urge to hit its own head to knock the headache out, the severe headache that struck its head was finally gone.

“Robus, is that really you?” The voice that the monkey recognized once again entered its ears.

.....

“r,Rr?” (Yes, Is that you, Blake?) Shaking his head as if to make sure the headache won’t ever come back, Robus then looked around him, searching for his small humanoid demon best friend that had just called out to him.

But as he regained his focus and recognized his surroundings, Robus was baffled to find that he was currently in an unknown place where the grass was as tall as his calf and the trees were so high that he was only as tall as one of their roots.

He had never been in such a gigantic environment before. Robus was already as tall as a man ever since he was born. He had never seen such huge trees and tall grass in his life before.

Robus then thought of the possible enemies that he might find in such a gigantic environment. The thought of fighting other creatures that were many times bigger made him worried yet slightly excited at the same time as he had evolved himself, he wanted to know how he would fare against strong enemies now.

“Robus? Are you okay?”

Robus heard Blake’s voice calling him out once again. But now that he was fully sober and aware of his surroundings, Robus noticed that Blake’s voice had come from somewhere above him, not below him.

Thinking that Blake had flown using his wings because he was probably too small to walk on the tall grasses, Robus casually turned his head upward, looking above the sky as he searched for a humanoid demon that was spreading his wings.

“Rrr!?!” Shock was the only word that could describe Robus’ feelings as he looked upward and saw a gigantic Blake standing over him.

Standing over he didn’t know how tall, Robus realized that his head was only as tall as Blake’s kneecap. Blake’s head completely blocked out the sun’s light over him, putting him under Blake’s shadow.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Blake asked when he heard Robus’ words.

Then as if something clicked inside of him, Blake laughed as he held his arms over his stomach.

“AHAHAHHAHAHA”

“No, Robus, I’m not getting bigger.” Blake then extended both of his hands forward, grabbing Robus’ by his armpits before raising him high up and putting Robus on his shoulder.

“It’s you who has gotten smaller.” Blake gestured to their surroundings, showing the ordinary-looking trees and the forest environment that the two of them weren’t foreign with due to the both of them having lived inside the forest island for quite some while, especially Robus who had been living there for years.

Now that Blake had brought Robus to his eye level, Robus could finally see that the trees and other vegetation around them really look like an ordinary forest.

Robus then looked at his own limbs and body. Examining them closely as he tried to find any difference from his original body. He spent about 30 seconds doing it and found that other than his bulging muscles had become more modest and he could stand with his back straighter up, his body’s structure really didn’t change much.

“Why don’t you try jumping up to see whether your strength has diminished or not.” Blake innocently suggested, forgetting about the simple fact that his powerful best friend was currently sitting on his shoulder.

“r.” Thinking it was a good idea and without thinking about anything else, Robus casually kicked his feet against Blake’s shoulder and propelled himself up, way past the trees and up into the light blue sky that he had never seen before in his entire life.

“AH!” Blake yelped as he felt his left shoulder joint deviate from its original place, sending a stinging pain to his body.

Robus was still as powerful as ever. A casual kick of his feet was enough to dislocate Blake’s shoulder despite his physique stat had also been increased.

Unfortunately for Blake, He didn’t get to lament his own pain as a voice popped up in his head.
