Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 278 An extremely angry mother

Chapter 278 An extremely angry mother

Scarlet was furious. Her rage was palpable, like a storm about to unleash. She glared at Strax with utter disdain, her eyes glowing an intense shade of red, reflecting all of her anger. Without saying a word, she stepped closer to Strax and, with a swift movement, grabbed his neck with crushing force. The pressure was immense, but Strax, in his position, could do nothing but struggle to breathe.

"You... think you can have fun, distract yourself with these... childish activities while I give you the chance to learn?" Scarlet's voice was low and threatening, each word laced with the poison of frustration. "You really didn't listen to me, did you?"

Strax felt his feet leave the ground as Scarlet effortlessly lifted him, not breaking a sweat. His breathing became more difficult, but he knew he had to stay calm, he couldn't lose control in front of her fury.

"I gave you everything you needed. Training, power, even the most advanced tools. And what do you do? Play around! You lose yourself!" She growled, as if speaking to someone incapable of understanding anything other than their own desire for amusement.

With a sharp movement, Scarlet spun around, throwing Strax aside. He hit the ground with a thud, feeling the pain, but quickly getting back on his feet. The blood was pulsing in his temples, and adrenaline started to course through his body.

Still furious, Scarlet wasted no time. She turned on a dime, her expression one of pure irritation. "Let's train. You'll understand what it really means to be prepared for what's coming, or I'll make sure there's nothing left of you."

She advanced with impressive speed, forcing Strax to follow her, barely able to keep up with her movements. The ground seemed to tremble with the force of her steps, and the wind cut sharply as she moved.

She led him to the forest, a secluded area where the sound of nature seemed to vanish in the presence of the intense energy she radiated. "Now," she said, her eyes showing no mercy, "you will learn what true discipline is, with no room for your idiotic distractions."

With a single strike, she cleared the entire forest, creating a clean space for training...

"If any of you show up here, I'll kill you." She said suddenly, and Strax felt his new "wives" rushing toward him, only to be stopped by Scarlet's murderous aura.

The surroundings grew denser as the training field quickly took shape, tree trunks becoming obstacles, and the air itself thick with an overwhelming pressure.

'I can't escape...' He thought. 'Well, I'll have to figure something out...'

He knew he had done something wrong, but... it wasn't entirely his fault. Those three women... they were just too perverted, it wasn't recent, no one becomes perverted just by blood... Right?

'Blood of the Incubus King and Dragon Blood... could it be...' he thought, trying to piece something together. 'No, she would have already surrendered. After all, she's smelled my blood multiple times...'

"Boy." When Scarlet positioned herself in front of Strax, ready to start the training, a series of messages began to appear in his peripheral vision, each one more urgent than the last.

[ALERT! Extreme danger detected!]

[WARNING: Extreme hostility detected. Scarlet Vermilion is in a state of total rage. Direct confrontation not recommended.]

[WARNING: Your life is at risk. The adversary's strength is incomparable.]

[System Recommendation: Flee immediately.]

Strax felt a wave of panic wash over him as he read the messages. He tried to ignore them, but he knew the system would never send such alerts without reason. Scarlet, with her impassive, dominant expression, was a threat he couldn't fully comprehend.

[Imminent danger. Flee recommended for survival.]

The alerts began to overlap, an avalanche of warnings trying to force him to flee. Strax looked at Scarlet, her anger and physical pressure becoming even more palpable, and he felt his heart race.

'Flee?' he thought, skeptical. 'But... I can't run from her. I wouldn't make it...'

"You won't leave here until I get what I want from you," Scarlet said, her words cutting through the air like a blade. Her voice was calm, but the fury behind it made the ground seem to tremble beneath her feet. She appeared to be enjoying the fear she sensed from him, knowing exactly how to make the training a trial.

Strax tried to take a step back, his body moving instinctively, but the system's message was already clear: Running would be a smart choice. He knew he was in dangerous territory. Scarlet's strength and speed were beyond anything he could handle alone, and he had no idea how to resist her, let alone defeat her in direct combat.

[WARNING: You are placing yourself in great danger. Flee to save your life!]

But before he could act, Scarlet reached him in the blink of an eye, grabbing him by the shoulders and spinning him back to the center of the forest. She gave him no time to react or even process what was happening.

"Do you think anyone can save you?" she mocked, with a threatening smile, as the energy around her intensified. "You think you'll be spared because my daughters like you? No, Strax, you need to learn. And you'll learn the hard, cruel way that I know how to teach."

He felt the weight of her words, the air becoming denser, almost hard to breathe under the pressure of Scarlet's energy. The system continued sending alerts, as if nature itself was trying to warn him of the danger he was getting into.

[WARNING: Confrontation with Scarlet Vermilion detected! Your physical health will be compromised to critical levels.]

Strax had no choice, but he knew he couldn't run. If he tried, Scarlet would certainly catch him in seconds, and it would be worse than if he stayed.

"Let's see how well you can endure, Strax," she said, her words cold as she positioned herself, ready to attack again.

The system kept shouting in his mind, the alerts growing louder and more urgent:

[Extreme danger: Scarlet Vermilion's resistance is insurmountable without external help!]

[You are in mortal danger! Flee now to survive!]

'No way out...' Strax thought, and began to focus as much energy as he could into his skin, trying to enhance the passive ability he had as a dragon.

'I need to endure her blows, or fully regenerate them... I'll focus everything on defense,' he concluded, seeing she was ready to strike.

Strax closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating his inner energy. The sensation of heat increased as he directed his mana to the surface of his skin, forming a kind of invisible barrier. It was a passive resistance skill he had always had as a dragon, but now he needed to push it to its limit. His skin began to glow faintly, a subtle golden radiance emerging as he shaped his energy.

[Preparing passive ability: Dragonic Defense activated.]

The system in his mind kept screaming alerts, but Strax forced himself to ignore them. He knew he couldn't rely on the system to save his life at that moment. His only chance was to endure, and if he could, use his regeneration to recover quickly after any strike.

Scarlet, noticing the change in Strax, smiled almost playfully. "Ah, you're trying to protect yourself, aren't you?" She moved closer, with no hurry, as if playing with him. "Do you think this will be enough to withstand what I have in store for you?"

Strax kept his eyes fixed on her, showing no fear, but sweat began to trickle down his forehead. He knew she was a formidable opponent, but his only option now was to hope his resistance was strong enough to withstand the impact of her blows.

"Let's see if you can handle this," Scarlet said, her voice a blend of amusement and unyielding coldness.

Then, in a movement so fast that Strax barely had time to react, Scarlet charged at him. Her speed was astonishing, and Strax could hardly prepare himself. Her attack came in the form of a series of rapid punches and kicks, a fierce combination of strength and skill that he could barely keep up with.

Scarlet's blows began to land on his skin, but to his surprise, the impacts weren't as devastating as he had expected. His passive resistance ability was working— the hits were being absorbed, and the pain was bearable. However, each strike made the fatigue accumulate quickly, and he felt his energy start to deplete.

"Do you think this will be enough?" Scarlet taunted, her mocking tone growing more intense as she increased the pressure. "Your dragon powers are useless if you don't learn to use them properly."

Strax tried to focus, but the pressure from her words and the fight itself was nearly overwhelming. He felt the pain of his muscles being pushed to the limit, but his regeneration began to activate, healing the damage from her blows as he continued to try and defend himself.

[Alert: Resistance is decreasing.]

[Alert: Regeneration active.]

The regeneration wasn't enough to fully overcome the damage from Scarlet's attacks, but he was still standing. He knew he needed to find a way to turn the tide in his favor, but for now, his main strategy was to stay on his feet, endure, and wait for an opening.

'Am I going to have to use everything I've got?...' Strax thought.
