Chapter 29: Title System!

[One of your subjects has discovered the art of blacksmithing naturally! You gain +2 GP. Additionally your subject has triggered the [Title System] that only mortals may carry as only the lowly care about such an honor!]

[Title System: Original Price - 270,000 GP / Acquisition requirement: Classeless (???) / Description: When your subjects perform incredible feats and do many more outlandish things, legends will form and myths will cement themselves in history, and the title is a permanent, and stackable honor. People or creatures that hold a title are people who have extraordinary fate, extreme strength, unyielding will and spirit and drive to research the void itself! Titles are a recognition of the Ultima god that his descendants are truly worthy beings! Titles separate the strong soldiers from the roaming emperors and flying dragons of the world! / Effect: Mortals that have a title bestowed by the world spirit, the ultima god, or the sub-gods will gain effects proportional to their title!]

[System is requesting Ultima god to put forward a power scaling system, or to use a previously created one!]

Jay looked over the messages that were running through his vision and asked Sol what she thought, since she was sitting right there next to him. He wished she could see the screen but it seemed that the perk was either locked out for now or wasn't something he could do for now. He would have to figure it out later.

"Well, is there a power system in the store that interests you?" Sol asked in a questioning tone.

Jay shook his head as he continually scroll the page just by thinking about it. He replied,"No, I don't understand what power scale system it means so I guess I'll just base my answer on some video games I played."

Sol chuckled and asked,"You're gonna base an important thing like this off of some old video game you played and barely remember from some 10 odd years ago?"

Jay shrugged and said,"I've been winging it so far, and nothings gone wron-" Jay stopped talking as guilt flashed across his face once more.

Sol touched his chin with her hand and whispered,"Its ok.."

Jay nodded slowly and after a moment of embrace, disconnected from her. Jay then thought about what he remembered from the game he played, called Knights Calling.

Jay then said,"Title system will have a total of 9 tiers of title that can be bestowed on a person and each one is harder to get the more you move up in the power scale and information scale!"

Jay then remembered that the tech system was divided into tiers, blacksmithing was a tier 0 tech because of its simplicity as an intro tech, but there were 10 total tiers. Anything invented after that was ranked as Tier Unique and was classified as a [Unique Product]. Even a galactic starship capable of FTL was only at tier 9! This tech system could indeed get crazy!

Jay continued,"The World Spirit may bestow titles up to the 3rd rank unto mortals it deems worthy of such an honor. The sub-gods may bestow up to the 5th rank for now, but that will increase in the future!" Jay then started to customize each and every level of the title system.

He was very thorough, as he really cared about his world and his subjects now and wanted to give them a system that truly reflected the heights they could achieve. Steven incorporated every division of the tech tree into the titles, which although he was moving very quickly, still took a long time because of the 8 million profession tech trees! There were simply too many and Jay had a feeling in his mind that these few professions would soon grow, but he had no way to prove it.

Jay asked,"System, do you understand what I am doing and my thought process on this?" He asked because he had been going for 2 hours and barely had 20% of all the different abilities listed and aided by the title system!

[Running Analysis...]

[Confirmed! Do you want to auto-sort your remaining systems, powers and techs for the titles system?]

Jay smirked and almost shouted,"Yes!" to the great surprise of Sol, who jumped a little at the surprise shout.

Sol, now a little annoyed, looked up at Jay and asked,"Why did you suddenly yell!"

Jay rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment and while the system sorted out the title system, Jay and Sol "sorted out their own systems" in their private room.

Jay came back an hour later to the system showing him a prompt.

[Congratulations! Title System has completed, User, check if this is correct!]

Jay looked over the title system and noticed that even though there were some oddities here and there with the tech placements, Jay felt like this system more or less made growth a supreme possibility.

Now Jay had a huge grin etched on his face as he confirmed that the new [Title] system was going to be functioning.

[Title System has been established and initialized. Over the next 10 years, starting from the progenitor, all beings in existence will understand and almost immediately comprehend the meaning of a [Title]. ]

Jay then clenched his fist in excitement as he finally realized a part of his dream to grow his people. This was just the start, as the title system was mainly geared towards the sciences, technology and the arts. There were some titles that could be given to warriors but it was much rarer and they were unfathomably hard to receive.

Jay then asked,"Wait? System, who is the progenitor?"

[Mortal name: Rust Hephaestus / Element: (Locked: Earth) / Level: 5 / Talent: (System not yet set) / Soul Qi: (System is not yet unlocked) / Bloodline: (System not set yet) / Job Class: (System not set yet) / Skills: Smelt, Mold Form, Cast, Learning Temple, Calm mind / Title: Father Of The Forge (1 Star Tier)]

[Title: Father of the Forge (1 Star Tier) / Effect: When learning new techniques yourself, breakthrough and enlightenment is more attainable. When teaching others, it is as if your words hold the weight of absolute truth. (Limited to your field) Cultivation Breakthrough Chance +30%, Teaching Enlightenment chance +12%]]
