Hello to all! In this chapter which will go up as a regular chapter, I will better explain how the new unified energy system I am implementing will work. Over the last 3 or 4 months I had to take a break from this project. This was mainly because I could see something far greater for this story and my mind wasn't ready for such a huge undertaking. But now I believe I am ready. I spent quite a while brainstorming and coming up with a theoretical perfect fantasy world. One that could mix many different types of fantasies for the reader's enjoyment. Though not every skill is represented here in this update, You can easily add it into the story if you want a "Unique" Status in the story :).
OC Creation is still alive, everyone! Go to the chapter called "Oc Creation" and submit your fan ideas there. For now I need early tech level and entry level forefathers! Let your OC be the godfather of Magic!
After this Chapter goes live You can also submit your OC to this chapter as well, if that is easier for you. For those I have already spoken to about Character OC in the previous comments, do not worry I still haven't forgotten you. (Naga pirate is stuck in my brain permanently haha)
Talent System:
Oka so the talent system was originally set up like a typical F to SSS grade like most stories. Nowadays this is the most common troupe I could find for power scaling. When I was researching the power scale for Qi, such as through Chinese translated novels, I came to understand that in most stories there tended to be around 7 to 10 different "realms" of power. This was when I first came to start wanting to lay a framework for a proper build, so I started with the talent system.
I Threw out the F class, C Class, S Class bs and simply Numbered them as Stars. To further reduce the amount of "lost in translation" I made it so the talents can be sub divided into noticeable tiers.
For Example. Previously if you had gotten say a D tier talent, you would think that is pretty shitty and realistically you would probably curse your luck if you got it in real life. But Jay as a character would not want his users to suffer like this so I knew I had to change it. So I installed the initial "Star System" . Each grade in the talent pool correlates to a New Star Level.
So, That D Level Talen is now a 3 Star Talent. You have no idea what that means in terms of power though so let's break it down a little further. There are a few weaknesses to holding a higher level talent that will also be mentioned but never really fully explained so I'll explain it here. With the new cultivation system, each user has 9 lights, and 9 stars they can cultivate and
"Light up" to grow their power. Think of this as the users Dantian or their Mana Core. Every new formation of a light is extremely time consuming based on bloodline level and talent level as the more lights that you light up, the more powerful your base body is. More technical details later, also will show how to "build a character" with realistic goals, powers and talents!
So, back to talent systems, I will use the same talent and improve it over the star levels to let you grasp a little better on the power structure.
1 Star - Attack up. Raises users base attack by 30% when in combat
2 Star - Attack Up boosted. Raises users base attack by 35% and Agility by 5% in combat
3 Star - Rage up. Raises users base attack by 45% and agility by 15% in combat while losing 3% vitality. After battle, enter a short period of weakness.
4 Star - Rage Up boosted - Raises users base attack by 60% and agility by 25% while in combat, while also losing 8% vitality. After battle, enter an intermediate period of weakness.
5 Star - Kings Rage - Raises user's attack and and Agility by 50% while also raising stamina by an additional 4%, but losing 5% total defense and 15% total vitality. Enter a short period of extreme weakness afterwards.
6 Star - Kings Rage boosted - Raises user's attack and agility by 80% while also raising stamina by an additional 6% but losing 10% total defense and 25% total vitality. Enter an intermediate period of Extreme weakness afterwards.
7 Star - Emperors Fury - Raises user's Attack and Agility by 100%. Raises stamina by 10%. Loses 10% defense and 25% total vitality. Enter an intermediate state of Extreme weakness afterwards!
(Sub-gods and Worlds Blessing only) 8 Star - Divine Wrath - Raises user's attack and agility by 200%. Raises stamina by 20%. Loses 5% defense and 12% total vitality lost. Extreme weakness for a short period after battle.
(Jays Blessing only) 9 Star - Divine Judgment - Raises user's attack, agility and stamina all by 250%. Doesn't lose any attributes. Short period of light exhaustion afterwards.
Hope this better clarifies the talent structure I hope to cultivate.
Important!! <
Your character can only naturally be born with up to a 7 star talent. But be WARNED!! The more OP you make your character the more that character will have to suffer to advance! The more powerful the character, the harder it is to get stronger! Only the weak can obtain substantial gains! The strong will have to suffer!
TLDR If you make your OC op, don't expect the character to actually get anywhere cause it will be heavily handicapped!
Bloodline System:
The bloodline system follows a similar arc to the Talent system. As the sentients and the OC's created by you all fight monsters, they will get stronger by having a chance to gain a bloodline from a defeated beast! There are 10 Bloodline ranks but only the gods can even own a 10 star bloodline. So for mortals, it goes all the way up to 9 Star bloodlines. The 10 star is a "Galaxy" bloodline that only Jay can bestow as it "defies natural order". To let you have a better understanding of the difference in strength, I will do the same as the Talent system.
1 Star - Earth Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth Element +10%. Stone working and affiliated activities gain +10% experience and skill point gain.
2 Star - Chief Earth Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth Element +20%. Stone working and affiliated activities gain +25% experience and skill point gain.
3 Star - Metal Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth and Metal Element +40%. Stone working,Metalworking and affiliated activities gain +50% experience and skill point gain.
4 Star - Chief Metal Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth and Metal Element +75%. Stone working,Metalworking and affiliated activities gain +100% experience and skill point gain.
5 Star - Mythical Ore Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth, Metal Element +100%. Mana Ore Collecting and Smithing Cultivation +10%. All Stone working, Metalworking and affiliated activities gain 150% experience and skill point gain.
6 Star - Chief Mythical Ore Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth, Metal Element +150%. Mana Ore Collecting and Smithing Cultivation +15%. All Stone working, Metalworking and affiliated activities gain 200% experience and skill point gain.
7 Star - Blind Master Ore Finder Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth, Metal Element +200%. Mana Ore Collecting and Smithing Cultivation +30%. Rare Ore detection and sensing +10% critical success. All Stone working, Metalworking and affiliated activities gain 200% experience and skill point gain.
8 Star - Blind GrandMaster Ore Finder Mole Bloodline - Affinity with Earth, Metal Element +200%. Mana Ore Collecting and Smithing Cultivation +50%. Rare Ore detection and sensing +40% critical success. All Stone working, Metalworking and affiliated activities gain 200% experience and skill point gain. [Flow] State 15% more likely when smithing or crafting.
9 Star - Divine Mole Beast - Affinity with Earth, Metal Element +200%. Fire and Wind element +20%. Mana Ore Collecting and smithing Cultivation +100%. Rare ore detection and sensing +50% critical success. All Stone working, Metal working, Forge working, fire tending and tempering as well as all other affiliated activities +200%. [Flow ] State +40% more likely when smithing or crafting.
Alright. Whew. There we go. Now we have a better understanding of the power structure some of the bloodlines that you can grab are. Be aware that the bloodline you use can be replaced, so I may give your character a weaker bloodline in the beginning and then replace it afterwards with a better one or even evolve the weaker one into something better with the natural treasures!
Bloodlines are not something you can choose for your character. I, as the author, have to decide on that. Talent is something you as a character can choose since you are born with it, but bloodlines is something the character has to fight with beasts to obtain! I hope that better clears things up.
Job Class System:
This one is mainly just to help keep track of the class of you as a user and the other sentients around you. It is simple and doesn't add much other than a fancy title that only means something to other mortals. Higher ranked Job classes, such as a future job class I plan to implement, the dragon warrior, give the class bearer about 50 attribute points. The system automatically allocates the points based on where the user most needed those points. It was different with every class and those points were permanent. Once you gained them, they were yours forever. Even if you got a better job class, you would keep those points, as long as you were not jailed, killed, or exiled.
Again this up to me, the author on what job class you end up getting, so be reasonable with your OC and we can call it even and fair!
