136 Chapter 136: Powers of a Familiar
The revelation stunned Alex as he felt like he needed to sit down somewhere. Doesn’t it mean when it comes to the ranking of strength outside the planet, humans will be considered weak?
Even someone as mighty as Wilder cannot make it far outside this world!
Although he found it hard to believe, Alex knew the Danite had no reason to lie to him and it makes perfect sense because the Demon-kin secret technique always has him a weird out-of-this-world feeling when practiced.
“The Sky demon race is quite powerful in the universe... it’s good you got their inheritance... but it’s incomplete.... Even before the war broke out between the alliance and the Danites, resources were sent into your world, secret techniques and advanced technologies in preparation for the blue deaths use... we didn’t to think it would have such an effect on you all... Those inheritance are what you all call martial techniques... but they are incomplete... why?” The Danite seemed to be explaining to himself. He was lost in thoughts.
Alex felt like sitting and thinking about everything he has heard so far. This is too much information for someone his age to bear! If someone like Wilder is considered a beginner then how strong are the alien races out there?
If the other races lost to the Danites, just how powerful are the Danites?
Alex found it hard to breathe as he could no longer maintain his calm. He suddenly felt lost and realized he has been focusing on competing with the wrong set of people. His standard should never be placed based on these human standards.
He should be aiming higher.
Alex frowned. If the Danites invade now! Not just a small scout party will be enough to send humans to the brink of extinction.
.....
“You should leave now... We will speak more on this later on but first, you need to sign a soul contract with the hellfire cat. It can be considered one of the most powerful familiars on my planet so you should be grateful” the Danite said hastily as little beast approached.
Right now, Alex was still shaken and his mental defenses were at their weakest he could tell how weak he had become since he wasn’t even given the strength to struggle or reject but the cat jumped into his chest and a strange black cat tattoo appeared on his body.
It moved from his chest to his back like a living paint and only then did it stop moving!
Huff!
Alex exhaled intensively as he woke up. His eyes were bloodshot and they shifted to little beast who was also sleeping in his hands. The cat opened its eyes and gazed at him differently now. Before it looked like it was just being friendly but now it looked different.
Alex could feel its emotions and thoughts. It felt like they were bonded.
“I wonder what this bonding process can do... The Danite didn’t even bother explaining what a familiar is and how it works” Alex complained.
Knock!
Knock!
Alex noticed someone knocking on his window and only then did he realize the jeep was empty. Silver was knocking at his window to get his attention.
“I can’t keep spacing out like this or I may end up making people think I have lost my mind” Alex said calmly as he opened the door and walked out with the cat standing on his head like an ancient cat god.
Whoever saw the way it stood found it amusing but Alex didn’t care much. He walked into the building that was already set on fire by blaze, destroying all forms of plants in the place.
“You slept off there?” Silver walked by his side and asked.
Alex remained silent for a few seconds as he put the purple crystal in his pocket before replying. He narrated the entire story in a low tone concerning the Danites, Alien races, the encounter with the big four, and what just happened recently.
During that time, Silver remained silent and listened attentively. He didn’t show any reactions to not draw attention and when they were done, he first shot a glance at the cat on Alex’s head who was gazing at him intently. It was more like it was waiting to see his reaction after learning the truth.
“Really cool! Hi! I’m Silver” Silver said as he stretched his hand to shake the cat.
Meow!
People thought he was just acting dumb but the cat pulled out its hand and touched his open palm before letting out a low but pleasant cry, leaving people stunned.
How smart is that little beast?
“Don’t share this with any other member of the team... Only the original four of the nameless can know... the core members are not ready for this” Silver warned and the cat nodded in agreement.
Thinking of the original four, Alex realized it was him, Tracy, Silver, and Jason that are the original four. They are the backbone of this new family. He wasn’t planning to tell them but since Silver and the car are okay with it, he guessed it was okay to tell them when the time is right.
They quickly set up camp in what seemed like an abandoned Casino. With the presence of the cat, no one was worried about getting attacked by the mutated beasts.
They spent a good portion of the night chatting and laughing with members of Team White. Since the others knew nothing about their involvement with the Tyrant gang, it felt so natural even Mr. White was convinced no one knew about their identity.
When everyone went to sleep, Alex moved to the next floor with little beast.
“Show me what familiars can do” Alex said with a hint of doubt in his eyes!
Meow!
The cat meowed and ashes forward, smashing into his chest like a ghost!
Whoosh!
Alex felt a strange energy surge through his body as the cat merged with his body! His closed eyes yanked open revealing blood-red light and his body was suddenly engulfed by blood-red flames!
