69 Chapter 69: I can’t dodge bullets

Angel stood above like a king in the skies as he gazed at Alex push his way through the small number of Losts and jumped into a classroom through the window. His eyes widened in shock as he watched Alex fight. He already had a rough idea of what to expect from the heirs of the big four but he was still left stunned when he saw it actually happening.

Some low rated guardians will be left confused and flustered when faced with a small group of Losts but Alex just moves forward like it was nothing. His fitness was around the D ratings and his fighting skills were above that level. It was shocking to see people at that level at such a young age.

He turned his attention to Silver, whose sniper rifle had turned to a white grenade launcher. It kept releasing blue explosive energy shells and although the firing rate was slow, its power was still terrifying! With one shot he easily killed two Losts and when he got lucky he killed three to four. His aim was precise and accurate! He remained calm even when the horde kept charging forward.

This is something expected from a professional!

“These two are very impressive and they are just first years in the academy... I guess this is the difference between the members of the big four and us... Once they become B-rated guardians, their strength will far surpass mine” Angel couldn’t help but admit.

Even if he didn’t say it out, he knew that was the truth, each alphabet in the rating has a ranking list. Normally members of the big four are hardly seen on the ranking list but when they enter, they are always at the top.

Angel controlled his golden feathers and slowly limited the space of evasion for them. He prevented them from going far, making it far easier for Silver to aim. Just both of them were alone to keep the horde of Losts on hold. The other guardians stood and watched in shock as the two held back the gods alone.

While Angel used his golden feathers to control the battlefield and made sure they never drifted too far or got too close, Silver killed them in large numbers, making people forget they were killing kids.

Losts had Brown skin with sunken eyes and completely black eyes. Their body was riddled with cracks, making it look like their skin was about to crumble. Meanwhile, Angel noticed something strange. He has gone against Losts when he was still at the D ratings, even as a B-rated guardian he has battled a few Losts before. They are meant to be far stronger than this.

.....

For some reason, he believed they are far weaker.

After Alex out the loud cry, the kids gazed at him with tearful eyes before they started crying. They were not crying because of his words but now they feel safe, they felt like they could let out their emotions.

Alex shot them one last glance and walked out of the classroom. He found himself in a fairly long corridor with different doors positioned at various sides. He guessed those doors led to other classes and there with him were other members of the Tyrant gang, with their weapons raised. With a glance, Alex could tell these people are just their goons with almost no to little training, given weapons to fight. Finding deviants and humans trained and powerful enough to wield beast gears are rare.

With the barrier around him, he was confident he can handle bullets but right now he spotted more than five people with energy guns and weapons. Thinking that the Tyrant gang has advanced to such a level where they can give mere goons energy weapons put a frown on his face.

“If you are willing to go against the big four... Shoot away...” Alex said calmly while his eyes scanned the hall and found two cameras at both ends of the hall.

Using his powers would have made things easier but right now he had no choice but to fight to the best of his ability. He didn’t know the limit of his bracelet, he wasn’t sure it can take a few direct hits from the energy guns. His bronze statue combat technique was something else entirely. It was a bronze-level combat technique and the defense it provided was very small. Alex wasn’t even sure it would be able to block normal bullets. At its current level, it is only useful when fighting weak opponents.

After Alex said those words there was a sign of hesitation amongst the Tyrant gang members and Alex took advantage of it.

Bang!

He kicked the ground and shot into the air!

Bam!

Weapons were raised in search of him but Alex had no intentions of getting caught. His legs kicked the wall before they pulled their triggers, launching him to the other end of the corridor.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Numerous gunshots could be heard at the spot Alex once stood but he couldn’t be found anywhere. His body leaned forward as he went low, charging toward the enemies on the right.

“What the hell is this guy? How can e dodge bullets?” One of the Tyrant gang goons cried out as he noticed Alex’s murderous gaze pinned on him.

Those behind were reluctant to shoot in this narrow corridor since it meant if Alex dodged, their comrades will be killed by their attacks.

“First rule of combat... Never hesitate!” Alex said coldly as made his way towards his target with a cruel smile on his face.

The man retreated as he shot twice but Alex drifted by the side twice, closing the gap between them, meanwhile, his two shots took down two Tyrant gang goons. Making the others hesitate to shoot even more.

“By the way, it’s dumb to say I can dodge bullets... I’m not a deviant, I don’t have super speed either... I don’t need to be faster than the bullet, I simply need to be faster than the hands that pull the trigger” Alex said calmly with his dagger placed at the throat of the enemy.
