Chapter 168: Large-Scale Attack (7)

"Keep firing at that entrance where the zombies are coming out! Shoot until nothing is popping out from that damn hole!" Zhang Qin Feng ordered while reloading his Centurion-Custom.

The situation seems to be getting worst by the second. Although the tunnel the zombies are crawling out from wasn't too spacious, that was measured in humanity's comfort. To the zombies that won't mind crawling on top of each other to come out, it can fit at least four to five together. When one stacking with another, it was like cream getting forced out from a piping bag.

"Satella, I'm going to activate the supercharge mode. Make sure you target the Tyrants." Zhang Qin Feng tapped Satella's shoulder and pressed a button beside the targeting scope.

**Xi… Xi…**

That sound was the beginning of the charging process. It took five seconds of Zhang Qin Feng's time to get ready. The lense soon turned green once it was charged and ready.

"Bangggggggg!!!" the bullets that were fired from Zhang Qin Feng's Centurion is fiercer than before. The rate of fire was also much higher, at around six shots per pull and release of the trigger.

His weapon went on rage as Zhang Qin Feng provided a cover and hunted the zombies that try to approach his people. Since the bullets were charged, the power behind each shot was as deadly as a conventional sniper rifle.

But in exchange for this power, the recoil was almost unbearable. If it was not due to the 8 points in Zhang Qin Feng's physique, his hand would have gone numb after clearing a single mag.

"Satella!" Zhang Qin Feng called her name as he tried to keep the Tyrant from running amok. Their collaboration can be said to be flawless as a shot came from the Lunacy Anti-Materiel Rifle.

Another Tyrant was taken down, but they're not in the safe yet.

The zombies are still crawling out from the entrance that appeared out of nowhere. Firing the Decimator at the spot seems to be making things worst.

"Boss! We need a different solution quickly! We couldn't destroy the entrance with so many zombies crawling out from it!" Alex said. This was the third Decimator's ammunition he fired at the hole. The result is evident by looking at the number of zombies walking around.

"Quickly bring it up now if anyone has a suggestion." Zhang Qin Feng shakes his partially numb hand as he speaks. This was just the second mag, and his hand was starting to get senseless from the continuous firing.

"Boss! The trees! Can we try to use it as a barricade to block the entrance?" a soldier suggested.

"Practically, we could, but how are we going to control how the tree is going down? If things went wrong, we might be the ones that got stuck here instead." Zhang Qin Feng said.

[The system could provide you some help with that. Scanning…]

"Alright! We'll use the tree as the obstacle to block the entrance. Continue to provide suppression fire while I see how we should go from here. I need three guys to follow me!" Zhang Qin Feng changed his mind instantly after hearing from Stein.

"We'll come with you, Boss!" three guys volunteered to follow Zhang Qin Feng in the mission to take down the trees.

"Good. Everyone, keep it up and wait for my good news. And… Good luck. Stay alive." Zhang Qin Feng said.

"We'll manage. Boss, proceed without worrying about us." Alex replied. Queenie and Satella gave Zhang Qin Feng a thumbs up to show their support.

"Let's go!" he led the other three and move ran to the woods.

Relying on Stein's analytical processing, the weak point and where to create an opening were quickly shown in his sight. With no pen nor marker in his hand, Zhang Qin Feng was forced to use the food in his inventory as it was the only wet item he had.

"Fire at this area I've marked using the bread and cream. Keep shooting until I ask you to stop." Zhang Qin Feng pointed at the trees his men have to shoot at it and get them to fire once he walked away.

Without tools such as an axe, shovel, etcetera, Zhang Qin Feng got no choice but to use the rifle's ammunition to slowly destroy the tree until it fell towards the tunnel. It was a tedious task, but they had no other choice.

Meanwhile…

"They're getting closer! We'll have to find a way for this before we get overwhelmed by the horde!" one of the soldiers yelled. Even the most veteran soldier would get nervous when they got ambushed by the mindless zombies.

Out of the forty soldiers following Zhang Qin Feng in this expedition, three have fallen prey to the zombies. The first one was the unlucky fellow that got pulled into the tunnel and turned into food. The other two fell victim to the heavy objects thrown by the Tyrants when they run amok.

"Vice-Boss! Now!" Alex and Queenie both shouted as the two keep the suppression fire at the third and last Tyrant that came out from the tunnel.

"BANG!" the loud sound from her shot punched through the head of the Tyrant and turned the monster into a headless corpse. With no more Tyrant present on this battlefield, the pressure from the undead was not as significant as before, but their situation is still dire.

Unless the tunnel was clogged, the zombies would continue to pour out from it. It would only take them less than a day to infest this area with more zombies.

"Don't give up! If the boss says to wait for his good news, then we'll wait here until he comes back!" Satella said. The Lunacy Anti-Materiel Rifle has left her hand and replaced it with the Centurion-Custom.

"Understood! Fire! Fire!" the soldiers pointed their gun back at the zombies and continued. Both sides seem to be relying on one another as they tried their best to stay alive.

**Crack… Crack…**

"Move aside! The trees are falling!" one of the three soldiers that followed Zhang Qin Feng returned with a warning.

**BAM! BAM! BAM!**
