Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2501 Exchanging Blows

Chapter 2501 Exchanging Blows

"…"

The disciples of the Aurora Cloud Gate remained shocked over the battle's conclusion. Unexpectedly, the one with the weaker prowess had won. However, their expressions couldn't help but turn into one of pity as they knew whom she offended.

"Child, you're ruthless."

Schleya raised her head and looked at the elder in the skies who saved Fletcher.

"Ruthless?" She lightly curved her lips.

"With that tiny amount of blood, I truly required some time to conjure the binding technique while the fool patiently listened to my drivel, waiting for me to attack and people wonder how they could lose to an enemy with lower prowess when they're giving the enemy the preparation time to practically kill them. Was it my ruthlessness that caused this or my opponent's mocking attitude?"

"The latter." The elder didn't hesitate to answer, "Obviously, he looked down on you as you could've never matched his prowess. However, I was simply stating the fact that you're ruthless enough to harm a fellow disciple. This battle doesn't have anything to do with me other than me saving you from his wrath."

"Junior thanks elder for allowing me to become a true disciple then."

Schleya blandly replied, causing the elder to nod before he reached out his hand. She handed him her badge, which was then updated according to the rules. A few seconds later, Schleya's name appeared below Ellia in the True Disciple Rankings - Immortal.

"Schleya… it feels like I've heard of this name before..."

Someone couldn't help but utter. Many wondered before some of their expressions couldn't help but change. Thereafter, they instantly connected it with the rumor that has been going on around for some time that the Fire Phoenix Patriarch and Earth Dragon Patriarch came flying to one of their branches to look for a certain individual!

Apparently, that person was also here!

Ellia noticed the commotion, but upon Schleya's return, she couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you."

"It's not necessary."

Schleya remained indifferent as she sat down and entered a meditative state after she took a healing pill. The cracks in her bones and joints started to heal, and her own blood energy was aggressively aiding in her recovery. Her pale cheeks slightly gained a healthy hue.

She could quickly recover more than a normal immortal taking the same pill.

"Ellia, when did you become friends with this demoness? She's so protective of you."

Suddenly, Shirley couldn't help but send Ellia a soul transmission, causing Ellia to blink before she shook her head.

"I didn't become friends with her."

"What? Then how…?"

"Well, she protected my dignity because she knows that I'm 'his' woman."

"Oh…" Shirley finally understood.

Ellia turned to look at Shirley as though wondering if she couldn't guess this when Shirley displayed her teeth behind her veil.

"Well, I thought she was already one of us, and it's just Davis being embarrassed to explain that he made a wicked path woman his..."

"Aha~" That's funny because I know if there is something my prince wants, then he would get it even if he would have to hoodwink others for it."

"That's true."

Shirley nodded, but at this moment, her brows couldn't help but narrow.

"Now then, who else would like to challenge us?"

Ellia's voice rose as she asked the disciples. Many who had been intending to give it a try were now intimidated by Schleya's ruthless and suicidal attacking style that put one's own body at risk. The core disciples hesitated a lot, but the true disciples weren't.

But still, none of them approached them.

Instead, a group of people approached Ellia, causing her to turn and look around. The others also cast a look as they saw five men and one woman appear before them. All of them wore a beautifully structured crimson robe with wonderfully designed sleeves on all four limbs, and one amongst them was a particularly hateful individual who caused them to heave an annoyed sigh.

"Not again…" Ellia's eyes blinked as though she was tired.

"What do you mean 'not again'? I believe this is the first time we're meeting, senior disciple Ellia."

Ellia raised her brows and finally recognized that there was something different about the man on the forefront than she previously knew. He didn't have a Level Nine Immortal cultivation base but a Level Five Immortal cultivation base.

"Ah, no wonder. You must be Tegon Zenflame's brother, whom I didn't know existed. After all, you have the same spitable face as him that I didn't bother to analyze..."

"…"

Tegon Zenflame's supposed little brother fumed at the comment as his expression twitched, but he simply moved his gaze to another woman, his eyes becoming emotional as he cupped his fists and slightly bowed his head.

"I presume you must be our Young Inheritor Shirley, as I can feel the Fire Phoenix aura from you. I, Egon Zenflame, will receive you with the utmost-"

"Elder, these disciples are trying to kidnap me from the Aurora Cloud Gate. Please save me!"

"You-"

Abruptly, Shirley pointed at Egon Zenflame and screamed at the top of her lungs, causing the other party's expression to change.

"Who dares to make trouble here?"

The elder whom had just left returned. He was none other than the elder who looked after the Proving Grounds' four battle stages as the Promotion Deacon but unexpectedly, people saw him repeatedly move today when they had never seen him move from his place most of the time.

It seemed like true disciples were treated rather well, making them feel envious of people like Ellia and Schleya.

"Promotion Deacon, there's nothing wrong here." Egon Zenflame's expression became solemn.

"All kidnappers say that."

"Pfft~"

The Promotion Deacon's indifferent words elicited a wave of laughter from the disciples around. They were truly a bold bunch, not bothering to conceal their mocking laughter at all.

Their cackling caused Egon Zenflame and the others behind him to feel humiliated. However, they could do nothing about it other than glare the others into stop laughing, and it unsurprisingly worked.

Egon Zenflame quickly cupped his hands, "Everyone, today, I have not come as a member of the Fire Phoenix Clan but as a disciple of the Aurora Cloud Gate. I wouldn't do something such as kidnapping someone, much less force them. I only want to talk to our Young Inheritor over here."

"Cut the crap."

Shirley took a step forward and waved her hand, "Negotiations are over. No matter what your power said, tell them that I, Shirley, will never think of myself as one with the Fire Phoenix Clan of the First Haven World unless your Patriarch gets down on his knees and apologizes to my husband in front of the entire world."

"Young Inheritor, you're being deceived by him." However, Egon shook his head with haste, "From ancient times, there was no female inheritor who belonged to the same man even if he was an inheritor. The only reason that you're with him is that he's a Divergent."

He advised, but it caused Shirley to smile coldly.

"The only reason I became an inheritor is because he found the inheritance site. Just because there's no precedent doesn't mean that he can't create one."

"But you're the one who succeeded in passing our ancestor's trial!"

Shirley's cold smile became prevalent on her beautiful face. The more they tried to change her mind, the more she felt disgusted with them. Consequently, she no longer responded and turned away to look at the battle stage.

"Ellia, let's move on."

"Alright, if no one's going to accept my challenge, we'll leave."

Ellia decisively spoke up in a lazy tone. Hearing it, many disciples had their faces churn with haste before they started walking up to her.

"Wai-"

Before Egon Zenflame could even open his mouth, many rushed past him and overwhelmed his view.

Many challengers were willing to take on Shirley and Natalya. In the end, Ellia used her experience from being with Myria to select a few optimal targets and had Shirley and Natalya battle them. They won their matches with ease.

Those core disciples had no choice but to admit defeat after being brought to their knees within a few seconds.

One was an immortal inheritor, so her skill was to be expected, but the other was a woman they had not heard of much other than she was that person's second wife. Other than that, there seemed to be nothing special about her but the way she moved and countered her opponent's move in one fell swoop caused them to clamor over the control she possessed.

However, Ellia then allowed a true disciple to battle Natalya, which caused many expressions to churn in disbelief.

Hadn't they learned from the previous battle that Schleya had with the last ranking true disciple that any one of those true disciples couldn't be taken lightly? Especially when they looked at the opponent, their expressions held pity or worry for Natalya as they saw it was a poison expert!
