Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2721 Dark Clouds Gather

Chapter 2721 Dark Clouds Gather

"Sect Master!" The members of the Mystic Ice Sect screamed.

Immortal King undulations thrummed through space as a black light split apart space and rushed towards Myria, causing her pupils to dilate, not because of the attack but as she saw Bing Luli split in half, blood spurting from her body.

She turned to look at the incoming attack, knowing that it was beyond her ability to block as it reached the Immortal Emperor Stage in prowess, quickly making her understand that it was a Peak Immortal King true disciple attacking her.

*Bzzzz!~*

But at this moment, a layer of light abruptly descended on the both of them, covering them with a glowing light. However, one radiated a blue tint, and the other radiated a red gleam.

As soon as the space-splitting sharpness rammed Myria, the blue light covering her glowed brightly, causing the spatial attack to simply be unable to pierce past it. However, the red light that covered the golden-robed man abruptly caused the man to stiffen.

His figure became clearer, and his sharp features were now filled with horror, his mouth opening in despair before the resistance he displayed through stiffening his body and releasing all his energy became useless, causing him to fall down and hit face-first on the tiled surface.

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

Six elders appeared in the air, their gazes falling on the sea of disciples below. However, their gazes were on the woman whose body split in half horizontally from her waist. She lay on the ground, blood streaming and organs flowing out from her severed body, causing numerous people to not be able to look as they turned their heads away.

"Release me."

Myria's voice echoed. Her voice was not indifferent but extremely cold, causing an elder to look at her and wave his hand.

The blue light of defense locking her down disappeared, causing Myria to fly towards Bing Luli quickly before she bent down, reaching out her hand to lightly slap Bing Luli, whose eyes were dim.

"…"

Myria's eyes shook as she used her finger to touch Bing Luli's forehead. Instantly, she saw the chaos inside.

Bing Luli's soul sea had collapsed.

She turned to look at the golden-robed man who had suddenly attacked.

Dead… he was dead…. Bing Luli was also dead…

His attack at the Immortal Emperor level was simply focused and concentrated. Even if only her body was split into half and destroyed her dantian in an instant, the massive energy stemming from it shot to her entire body and destroyed her soul.

No matter how Myria thought, there was simply no way to survive the killing move that was meant to kill her.

The remaining members of the Mystic Ice Sect who were here, Mu Bing, Bing Hua, Wan Lanying, and Xia Yun, were also petrified, unable to believe their eyes.

"No one can harm someone in the Treasury. If they did so, then the killing formation would activate and kill the aggressor, and the defensive formation would protect the victim. Still, it seems like he utilized a Refractive Lightdust Sand to deceive the eyes of the formation spirit. This was unavoidable."

One of the elders who examined the dead golden-robed man spoke in a hoarse voice as though he was talking to himself. He seemed quite indifferent, not really appearing to care about the situation.

On the other hand, Evelynn and the others were also shocked beyond compare. They couldn't believe they had just witnessed an assassination on Myria, but their minds reeled, looking at Bing Luli lying there unmoving with no sound.

One would at least expect her to release a scream of pain, but the fact that she was unresponsive while her eyes were still open confirmed one thing; she was undoubtedly dead. After all, no immortal would fail to respond unless they were unconscious or dead, but Bing Luli's condition didn't seem like she fainted at all.

*Rumble!~*

Abruptly, the clouds above thundered as they gathered together, turning dark in broad daylight. Lightning crackled amidst these clouds, causing many people to become dumbfounded.

Were the heavens crying?

"Mother…"

However, Ellia's expression trembled as she knew this phenomenon. Looking at the reincarnation energy surging out from her ten fingers, swirling like ten dragons, Ellia knew that Myria was using the Fallen Soul Resurrection Technique.

*Whoosh!~"

Ellia quickly appeared beside Myria, grabbing her wrist.

"No… don't…"

Tears appeared in her eyes. Although Bing Luli was the Sect Master of the Mystic Ice Sect, she was the first person to befriend her, and only then did Myria become somewhat close with her. The pain that swelled in her heart was shattering, but no matter what, she couldn't just stand and watch Myria resurrect Bing Luli.

"Let me go..."

Myria flicked her arm, causing Ellia to stumble back and reel in sadness.

Why…? She couldn't help but think.

In all those years of being hunted down, Myria almost never used it. Even though people have died because of her, she only used it rarely and secretively only on the people who tried to protect her multiple times but got killed because of it. Even the revived didn't know how they were still alive. But now, looking at Myria using the Fallen Soul Resurrection Technique in front of everyone, Ellia was shaken.

Everyone would come to know that she was a Saintess, and the implications for the foreseeable future couldn't be seen anymore.

"Elders, please create a screen of light… and evict the disciples from this place..."

Ellia quickly sent the six elders a soul transmission.

But before they could even respond, the heaven and earth shook as the iridescent reincarnation energy created a massive vortex. Heaven and earth energy shook at his momentum, gathering towards the vortex in copious amounts.

"…!"

Seeing this scene, everyone became shocked, but the elders, in particular, looked like they had seen a ghost. In their lives stretching for millions of years, they haven't witnessed any technique like this that invoked the fury of the heavens nor witnessed an energy that was the slightest bit recognizable to them.

They looked at the iridescent snakes swirl as they created a mysterious vortex, causing their hearts to pound. Although they couldn't tell what it was, they could tell with their life experience what it was.

It was something that went against the heavens, the natural order.

"Sigh, she is truly the disciple of that person..."

Suddenly, a sigh only audible to those elders resounded, causing them to become shocked again before they turned to look at the source of the voice.

They saw a black-robed man look at Myria with gleaming red eyes. However, the elders all respectfully lowered their heads.

"Guardian."

Their voices weren't particularly resounding or even audible, but the black-robed man nodded his head.

He waved his hand, causing the disciples in the Treasury to suddenly disappear.

"…!"

This scene shocked Ellia out of her mind, and before she knew it, she saw the black-robed man with long black hair, instantly recognizing his aura as she made sure to note every elder that she could find.

This man was none other than the gatekeeper who was watching over the entrance to Saintess Lunaria's palace. However, that man was an Immortal King who wore a white robe and appeared quite old, causing Ellia to wonder if he had disguised himself.

Indeed, little did she know that it wasn't his true body but his avatar also posing as a Grand Elder of the Treasury Department.

"Who are you…?" She couldn't help but become cautious, appearing before Myria as she wedged in between them.

The black-robed man's gaze was entirely on Myria, watching her mysterious movements filled with the secrets of the heavens with the utmost focus but hearing Ellia ask, his mouth simply moved.

"The Guardian of the Treasury Department, Kalaxis Vain."
