Divine Hack System
When Leo got home, he couldn't wait any longer and urgently sat up in bed to activate the Inventory Hack.
"System, activate the Inventory Hack," he said confidently, as he looked at the status screen changing in front of his eyes.
[Inventory-Hack Lv 01 [0/5,000]: Creates a personal space for the User of 1 cubic meter. As long as the user touches the item, it can be stored in the Inventory. With each upgrade the space will be increased.]
Seeing that the skill was activated, in Leo's mind came information on how to store the items and how to see this space.
Looking at it initially, Leo only saw a box with black walls, completely empty inside. A 1-cubic-meter box was very large. Its internal area was equivalent to the size of at least 5 backpacks like the ones Leo was using now.
So, while before he could only come back from the forest with X amount of materials, now he could carry at least 5x more than he could before. That meant more money and more Experience that he could get every time he went out into the woods.
With curiosity, Leo took a pen, and in his right hand, using a single thought, that pen disappeared from his hand. Immediately the pen appeared hovering in the inner space of the inventory. Inside, Leo was able to reposition the pen to accommodate more things and maximize the use of that space, which was very useful.
With another thought, the pen appeared in Leo's left hand, which brought another smile to his face. This inventory had a limitation that stored objects had to be in contact with his hand, but this worked with both hands. With this, Leo could hold an item with his right hand and in the next instant take the item out with his left, making it look like the item teleported from one hand to the other.
"These skills have a lot of functionality. I believe it will take me a long time to learn all of this," Leo said to himself excitedly, trying to think of other things he could do.
Another idea Leo had was that he wouldn't need a quiver, as he could make the arrows appear in his hand directly!
While Leo was thinking, he started putting essential equipment away in the Inventory. Bow, arrows, food, water, Leo even tried to save a bird for testing, but the System said that living beings could not be stored in Leo's Inventory.
After Leo killed the bird, the System gave no warning and the bird was stored normally in Inventory.
The dead bird's blood stopped flowing as soon as it entered the Inventory, by which Leo deduced that the time in the inventory stood still, meaning he could store food there forever without worrying about the food going bad! Countless ideas came to his mind as he tested the Inventory Hack, but suddenly there was a knock on his door.
Knock Knock!
Leo was confused. He never had visitors at home, so just in case, he took a knife and looked through the door with the Wall-Hack.
Upon seeing through the door, Leo's suspicion softened a bit, as he saw two people he had already met a few times. Although when using the Wall-Hack he could only see outlines, the silhouettes of the people showed that they were military, and after leaving the city every day from the same place, Leo already knew the two Bronze 5 Stars soldiers who guarded the city gate by their stance alone. However, just in case, Leo didn't leave the knife in the kitchen, but put it in the Inventory, since with just a thought he could retrieve the knife and defend himself if he needed.
As he opened the door, Leo made a confused expression as if he didn't know who it was and then broke into a smile.
"Hello gentlemen, can I help you both?" Leo asked politely.
The two soldiers saw Leo, and unlike the emotions they showed when they saw him normally, this time they had serious expressions as they looked at Leo with a touch of admiration.
Greg was the soldier who spoke. "Leonardo Lentz, you are being drafted into the 17th Army Battalion by Army Corporal Joseph."
Leo was shocked to hear this. He didn't know that a Silver Awakened from the army was keeping an eye on him.
'It was probably because of the amount of monsters I've been hunting recently,' Leo thought, but didn't care. As cautious as Leo was, he wasn't the kind of fearful person who would be hiding like a mouse all the time doing everything in hiding.
"Alright, can I at least change my clothes?" Leo gave a small smile as he pointed to a stain of monster blood on his clothes. He hadn't even showered after he got back, so he was dirty and sweaty.
Greg finally noticed how Leo was doing and cracked a small smile before answering, "You have 5 minutes."
Leo went to the bathroom and took a quick shower before changing clothes and leaving while combing his hair. To be on the safe side, Leo grabbed his backpack and slung it over his back. The backpack was practically empty, with only a few objects to bulk up. If he needed something from his inventory, he could reach into his backpack and grab it at any time without having to explain how the inventory worked.
The soldiers had come to pick Leo up with a military jeep. Leo was sitting in the back seat, while the two soldiers were in the front seat. Arriving at the barracks, Leo was then escorted to the Army Corps office and heard a voice from inside the room.
"In betweenThat will be all now."
The two soldiers left Leo's side and went back to what they had to do earlier.
p??d? n?ve? Leo entered the room in front of him, a little confused, and saw a muscular man with a middle-aged appearance looking at him with a small smile. It was the Corporal he'd once encountered at the entrance to the city. Leo still didn't know why he was called here, but from Corporal Joseph's smile, that was probably a good thing.
"Corporal Joseph," Leo greeted the man with a polite smile.
"Leonardo Lentz, sit down." Joseph pointed to a chair.
After Leo sat down, Joseph explained, "My superiors were as surprised as I was when they found out you were hunting Bronze 2 Stars monsters at your age. Can you imagine the heart attack I received when I found out you were already hunting Bronze 3 Stars monsters?"
Leo flashed a slightly embarrassed smile, but he didn't deny it. He knew he couldn't hide that kind of thing from the army.
Joseph was very pleased when he saw that despite the boy hunting Bronze 3 Stars monsters, Leo was still a 2 Star Bronze Awakened!
That kind of talent was extremely rare in the country, and it had to be very well taken care of. So as soon as Joseph heard the news of what Leo had done, he ordered the soldiers to go to Leo's house to invite him here to tell him some information.
"The university entrance exam is scheduled for Monday next week," Joseph said with a serious expression.
Leo was surprised to hear this. The date of the entrance exams was always a secret for all students. This was mainly to prevent some students from using some kind of drug to do better than they actually would normally, and it also was used to test the students' commitment, since if a student regularly missed school and was not present on that particular day, they also would not deserve to enter the big universities regardless of their talent.
That's why even if a person was extremely sick sometimes, that student would avoid missing school because they didn't know the date of the entrance exam. If the student was extremely sick, if they were present, they could at least get a voucher to take the test another day, but if they weren't present, they would be automatically disqualified.
So knowing the day of the entrance exam was a great advantage for anyone looking to take it, especially for Leo.
"Thank you very much, Corporal Joseph," Leo said with a respectful expression.
Joseph smiled and replied, "Don't spread this information. I believe you already know what to do with this knowledge. You can leave now."
Leo got up and said goodbye to Joseph. Their meeting didn't even last 5 minutes, but that was much more valuable than 2 full days for Leo.
'With this information I can start skipping school to hunt all day. So until Monday of next week I'll do my best to maximize my skills and try to climb to Bronze 5 Stars,' Leo thought confidently.
From the next day on, the monsters would suffer from Leo on the loose in the forest.
