Chapter 36 Encounter Assassination

Xu Nian left Qinglin Academy overnight to avoid his traces being discovered and a pursuit ensued.

Yet he hadn't expected that just as he entered the Demon Beast Forest, a group of people stopped him.

What surprised Xu Nian was that the pursuers were not from the Ouyang Family, but from the Qin Family.

"Interesting, they say even a fierce tiger won't eat its cubs, but your father is truly ruthless. Are you really Qin Yuanshan's own son?" Emperor Ye Tian teased.

Xu Nian gave a self-deprecating laugh and didn't respond to Emperor Ye Tian, but as he faced the five assassins before him, his heart turned ice cold.

He recognized all five men, each an elite chosen from the collateral branches of the Qin Family.

They had always been covertly nurtured by the family to support and reinforce the next generation of family heads.

"Such audacity, taking a man's head to apologize to the Ouyang Family. The day Qin Yuanshan shattered my Dantian and drove me out of the Qin Family, I severed all ties with the Qin Family completely. What right does Qin Yuanshan have to take my head for an apology?" Xu Nian clutched the hilt of his sword, his intentions murderous.

Qin Shan's words pushed Xu Nian's already icy heart to freezing extremes.

"Hmph, whether he has the right or not, you can tell that to the King of Hell," Qin Shan sneered, then his Spiritual Energy surged as he prepared to strike at Xu Nian.

However, Qin Dian, standing aside, coldly said, "Elder Brother Qin Shan, why bother yourself with such scum? Let me handle it."

"Fine, take action then, but leave him breathing. I want him to know the cost of injuring my brother," Qin Shan responded, his Spiritual Energy retracting as he sneered.

They had already learned before arriving that Xu Nian only possessed the cultivation of an Eight-star Warrior, with combat skills at best comparable to a One-star Star Warrior. Qin Dian, being a Fifth-star Star Warrior, would naturally have no problems dealing with Xu Nian.

"Don't worry, Elder Brother Qin Shan, I will take good care of him for you," Qin Dian replied with a cold sneer, then leered at Xu Nian gleefully.

Qin Feng, Qin Yu, and Qin Lei also shared cold sneers, watching the scene with the attitude of spectators enjoying a show.

Xu Nian saw this scene and felt a surge of joy in his heart.

If Qin Shan had made a move just now, his only path would have been death, but now that Qin Dian took the initiative, it might be a turning point.

"Qin Hen, I will kill you." Xu Nian gritted his teeth, his heart filled with a surging killing intent, and he deeply regretted not having completely dealt with Qin Hen in the past.
