Chapter 39: His returning

I woke up by my alarm going off. School. I took my phone off of charge and read through my messages.

Gray baby:

Morning baby, will be in by later tonight. Miss you.

I was so exited for him to come back. I missed him so much, even though he had mood swings. I could see that he was trying. Trying for me.

Danielle:

Good Morning Gray. Have a safe trip x see you soon.

I put my phone down and got up. I got black leggings on with a white tank top and a black leather jacket over with white converse shoes. I did my hair into a messy high pony and I brushed my teeth. I grabbed my phone and put it Into my jacket pocket. I heard someone knock at the door and just walk in, it was Ethan.

Ethan was wearing black skinny jeans, a blue adidas top and adidas shoes, with his hair brushed perfectly.

"Good morning" he smiled

"Morning Eth" I tease and grab my bag, Ethan takes my bag from me and puts it over his back

"I'm sure you heard that Grayson is on his way back. He should be here by tonight" he says as we both walk downstairs together.

"Yeah" I smile at him

He walks to his Porsche and opens the door for me and I climb in

Ethan starts the car and drives off to school. He looked deep in thought about something, but I'm not to sure about what.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, breaking the silence

"What?" He asks, keeping his eyes on the road

"Ethan I know something's up with you" I say, he usually isn't this quiet. He actually has a really big mouth.

"No, nothing" he says , faking a smile

"Tell me" I say, looking at him

He bit his bottom lip and looked at me

"I just had a really nice time with you this past two weeks. These have been the best days since... well I can't remember. And I know that things will be different now that Grayson is back. The guys and me of course will miss you, we think of you as part of the group" he smiles at me. Ethan has been really sweet to me since Grayson has been gone. And I really enjoyed him and the guys company.

"Aww Ethan, nothing will change, you guys are still my friends. And I loved spending time with you guys. I also really appreciate that you guys took me in" I giggle, thinking about if they didn't, I would of done some heavy duty third-wheeling with Jess and Luke. I'm really happy for them though.

Ethan chuckles

"You were like a lost little puppy, we couldn't resist of course" he smirks

"Whatever" I say playfully and punch his shoulder

We arrive at the school's entrance and Ethan parks at his reserved parking, on the other side of the school.

Ethan opens the car door for me and I climb out and smile at him. We walk up the stairs towards the big old building. Colton walks up to me and smiles, the guys follow.

"We heard that Grayson is on the way back..We all want to say that we are seriously gonna miss you. We really enjoyed your company and you're always welcome to come and hang with us" Colton smiles at me

"Thanks guys, I'm going to miss chilling with you guys, but nothing is gonna change our friendship" I smile and Tyler raises his eyebrow

"I think Grayson will say different" Colton chuckles

I couldn't wait for Grayson to come back

First bell rang and I went to math.

I walked into the class and took a seat next to Jessica.

"Hey bishh" I tease and she giggles.

"Hey you, why haven't you been hanging with me?" She pouts

"Well I'm giving you and Luke some personal space" I smile and take out my maths book. Daniel took maths with me and he came and sat in front of me

"Hey" he smiles and faces the back. Jess looks at me and raises her eyebrow

"Hey Daniel. This is Jessica, my bestie" I smile

"Hey Jessica" he smiles at her and she smiles in return

"Daniel!" Mr Le Roux shouts and Daniel rolls his eyes and faces the front. I see where the attitude comes from

"He's hot" Jessica whispers into my ear and I laugh. Daniel was hot, so were all his friends. But I don't care. Right?

After a while the period ends, I had English. I walked inside the class and took a seat at the back. Jessica comes inside and sits next to me, looking flushed. Something seemed a bit off with her. Not necessarily in a bad way.

"Why do you seem off today?" I ask

"Luke and I have completed our mating process" she beams, excitedly

"That's awesome Jess" I shout and she giggles shyly

I couldn't wait for Grayson to come home. Tonight was the night. I missed him so much.
