Drew waited for a moment and thought Alfie’s suggestion was reliable. However, calling Maximilian would make him embarrassed, so he chose to call Laura.

“I don’t want to call Maximilian. I am calling Laura.”

Drew took his phone out and dialed Laura’s number. When the phone call was picked up, Drew smiled and said,” Hello, aunt.”

“Drew, how is it going? Have Maximilian introduced the boss of Topyuan Group to you?” Laura said nervously.

“No, we have not met him.”

Laura stood up, anger filling her head and she was raining down curses on Maximilian in her heart. She murmured, “What’s wrong with Maximilian? What happened on earth?”

“Take it easy, aunt. The situation is we have come into conflict with Maximilian. Now, Maximilian has entered into the chairman’s office, but we don’t.”

Laura gave a great sigh of relief and calmed down. She said, “I see. The crap just doesn’t know how to deal with things properly. He should not have left you outside. What does he mean?”

Drew went blank for a moment. He didn’t know it, either. But he thought Maximilian was giving them a lesson.

“I think he is paying me off, but I can do nothing with him. Aunt, could you call Maximilian and tell him to help us? Ask him not to play a trick on us,” Drew said with grievance.

At the moment, Drew wanted help from Maximilian, so he could not say bad words about Maximilian. He had no choice but to say so.

Laura considered for a while, and figured out what had happened. As long as Maximilian didn’t lie, she would not lose her face. As for the personal hatred between Maximilian and Drew, Laura didn’t care.

“I get you. I will call Maximilian. But I have to say that though Maximilian is good-for-nothing, this time, in order to help you meet the boss of Topyuan Group, he has asked help from Mr. Wilfred. You shouldn’t have quarreled with him. Everyone has his temper, and Maximilian is not an exception.”

Laura felt proud and elated. Given that she had almost driven crazy by the Wrights, she was able to vent her anger by taking the chance to warn offspring of the Wrights. Drew smiled with awkwardness with his waist bent. “Aunt, do not get angry. I didn’t know Maximilian has owed such a deep debt of gratitude in order to help us. We will apologize to him later.”

“No, you don’t need to apologize. I mean you should not have quarreled with him,” Laura said fretfully. She thought her nephew looked smart but actually he was so dull that he even wanted to make an apology to Maximilian.

There was no need to apologize to Maximilian but to me, Laura thought.

The more Laura thought, the more she was fretful. She said bitterly, “I’m hanging up and I will talk to Maximilian.”

When the call ended, Laura threw her phone away and muttered, “You are so disrespectful. I will never call Maximilian. Just let him teach you a lesson.”

Listening to the busy tone from the phone, Drew smiled with bitterness. He backed against the wall, took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. When he was about to light the cigarette, Harrison shouted,” What are you doing? This is a non-smoking area. You can’t smoke here.”

Drew felt he was stuck by jinx. He put his cigarette away and smiled, “Sorry, I didn’t know. I won’t smoke anymore.”

“Brother, what did aunt say? Can we get entered?” Alfie said anxiously.

“Aunt said Maximilian asked for Mr. Wilfred’s help to make an appointment with the boss of Topyuan Group. What’s a fucking life!” said Drew bitterly.

That crap was in deep friendship with Wilfred, which made Drew full of envy and hatred. He could not help imagine that if he had a close friendship with Mr. Wilfred, how successful his life would be.

Then, he would not be like a beggar, waiting for the boss of Topyuan group. It was a pity that Maximilian had such good personal connections but didn’t know how to use them. It’s a waste.”

As Drew contemplated, he became increasingly furious and thought that the fate was so unfair that he, a good and capable man didn’t have such good social connections.

Alfie and Tommy were in a trance and thought the moment when they were forced to kneel down in front of Maximilian at the end of Hugo’s birthday feast.

“Are you mad, brother? It is not necessary. Do you think that provoking Maximilian will destroy our contract with Topyuan Group?” Alfie said discontentedly.

“It is possible that their patience is going to run out. Ask Drew to come in later on when I finish the game.” Maximilian said and then continued to play the game on his mobile phone.
