Chapter 398 A bunch of Jerks

The dinner starts at eight pm on time. Darian stopped them when Victoria and Maximilian were going to get in.

“Victoria, Master Stevens asked me to do him a favour just now. He wanted to let someone bring a handful of soil in the centre of the building site because he would like to analyse damage the shadow cast on the soil. I’m thinking about letting Maximilian do this.”

What Darian said make it difficult for Victoria to refuse. She could only take out her car key and handed it over to Maximilian.

“Maybe you can go there. Please get back earlier.”

“Yes, I will finish it as fast as I can.”

Maximilian left with car key in his hand, while Darian was showing a dark smile.

“Victoria, let’s get in. I think Master Stevens really thinks highly of you. You have to accompany him and try to make him happy.” Darian advised.

Victoria nodded and followed him in.

Master Stevens was sitting in the host seat. Andrew was sitting to his left side, leaving the other side empty.

Andrew waved his hand when seeing Victoria, “Come here, this place is for you.”

Victoria hesitated a bit and sat to Master Stevens’ right uneasily.

Master Stevens smiled and looked at her, “I’m glad you’re here. I have heard so much about you. You are really a tough girl. I admire you so much.”

“Well, I’m flattered. My uncles are just praising me.” Victoria replied politely.

Andrew held up his cup and asked them to drink, worrying that Victoria was not good at talking.

“I represent the Griffith family to welcome you. Thank you for helping us. This toast is for you.”

Master Stevens raised his glass politely. Andrew drank all of the wine in his glass, while Master Stevens only sipped a little. He was showing Andrew with enough politeness by pretending.

Andrew didn’t get angry. He smiled and watched Victoria, “Victoria, you can also toast Master Stevens. I believe we have to turn to him for help in the future.”

Victoria sighed softly and also raised her glass, “This is for you.”

“Well, thank you.”

After chinking glasses, Master Stevens drank up all of his wine.

Andrew found this subtle detail and thought a lot from Master Stevens’ reaction. Maybe Master Stevens was found of Victoria? If it was true, could he find a way to make Victoria drank and presented her to him?

“Master Stevens, you really have a preference for Victoria. Well, Victoria, hurry up and help the master with the dishes.” Andrew said happily.

Victoria was a bit angry, but she still picked up the serving chopsticks to help Master Stevens to the food.

Master Stevens was satisfied with Andrew’s fast reaction. He assumed that when he heard the news about Maximilian’s death, he would be able to win Victoria’s heart tonight.

His flirting gaze landed on Victoria subconsciously when he was thinking about this. Victoria noticed that Master Stevens was looking at her in a different way. She suddenly thought of Maximilian’s words that Master Stevens was a fraud and started to doubt him.

Maximilian drove the car to the building site. There were only several guards here and many workers as well as facilities were not present.

Mr. Morgan had evacuated a great amount of people because Master Stevens told him this place was the land of evil spirit, leaving only several workers to guard it with dogs.

Maximilian greeted the guards and went towards the centre of the construction site.

Mint, finding out that Maximilian was coming, took out his phone to remind the subordinates to take care.

He had arranged six men lying in ambush, while he was waiting outside the door, ready to disturb the guards by making a fake scene of ghosting.

Maximilian came to the centre of building site slowly, but he looked around and showed a dark smile.

“Come on and get out. Trying to freak me out doesn’t work for me. Did Master Stevens send you here? This is so naïve.” Maximilian said this when taking out the cigarettes.

The six masters lying in ambush were dumfounded when hearing Maximilian’s words. How did they be found out? Was he playing tricks?

The six masters looked at each other and decided not to take any further step, simply waiting for what Maximilian would do next.

Seeing they keep silent, Maximilian blew smoke and kicked one of the stones.

The stone flew quickly into the bush, knocking on one of the masters’ head.

Poof! The stone perforated his skull and went straight to his brain. The master cried in pain, twitched several times and died on the spot. The other masters were frightened when seeing their partner was killed.

The way of killing people with a stone was out of their imagination.

“How? How dare you fucking killing somebody in this way?”

One of the masters couldn’t repress his anger. He stood up, pointed at Maximilian’s nose and scolded him.

Maximilian showed a disdainful smile after glancing at them.

“How dare you say I am the murderer? If I haven’t killed him first, you would gather around to attack me and make the scene of accidentally death.”

Seeing Maximilian had already looked through their plan, the five masters became serious and looked at each other in a different way, doubting whether there was a traitor among them.

“Who has told you this?”

“Do I need somebody to tell me? I can guess what will happen just by thinking.” Maximilian answered casually.

“Well, do not waste time with him. Let’s kill him first and then find out who is the traitor!”

“Yeah, let’s kill him first!”

Five masters all postured and rushed to Maximilian fiercely.

Maximilian took out the cigarette in his mouth and threw it towards the heading master. The cigarette, sparkling red light, flew towards him like a sharp arrow and hit on his fist.

The master in the lead suddenly stopped, feeling as if t thousands of hammers were hitting his fist.

“Take care! This guy knows Kung Fu. Everybody takes care!”

The heading master tried to warn the others in a loud voice. But it was too late.

Maximilian waved his hands and the other masters burst out painful shouts, being hit at the same time.

“Well, a bunch of jerks.”
