Chapter 413 The Corpse Was Gone

Chapter 413 The Corpse Was Gone

“Revenge?”

That dead looking eyes of Frankie suddenly turned lively upon hearing the word.

Revenge was the aim of his life now, but he did not really see the possibility of it until Colletti showed up.

“Can I really avenge myself? What should I pay for that then?” said Frankie.

“I can send you across the ocean to get a gene modification in the lab. If that got successful, you will get a strong man. Otherwise, you will become a corpse. At least, you will have more hopes, won’t you?”

Facing Colletti’s alluring offer, Frankie did not think much before he said yes, because this would be his only chance now.

“I am willing to give it a try, but it is even a problem for me to walk now.” Frankie smiled bitterly.

“This is not even an issue. I’ve got the private jet and doctors ready for you. You will get a better treatment after you get there. Since you agreed to it, you can get onboard in two hours.”

Bearing the pain, Frankie nodded and squeezed his fists like he wanted to mash Maximilian into dusts.

“I will take it no matter how painful it would be. Maximilian, wait for my comeback. You will wish to die.”

Colletti smiled and took out an injector, “Ok, I will need to give you an injection. After this, you will enter the fake-dead phase. I will have my men transmit you out from the hospital to the airport.”

“Ok, you have my life now.”

Colletti gave Frankie one injection. After the medicine was pushed inside, he left the ward.

Not after long, the alarm went off as Frankie closed his eyes. A group of doctors then rushed in the ward.

The guard that was flirting with the nurse in the office now hurriedly rushed in the ward too after realizing that something went wrong.

The doctor finally shook his head after a series of operations on him, “The patient’s heart stopped functioning. He is dead.”

The guard checked Frankie’s breathing, and then called Chief Carr with a depressed face.

Chief Carr came to check the camera. However, the camera in this room was broken.

Though he found it weird, Frankie was already dead, without any evidence and hints, so Chief Carr could only agree to transport his corpse to the corpse room.

While he was trying to call Maximilian, a guard hurriedly ran over, “Sir! Frankie’s corpse is gone! Somebody stole his body!”

Chief Carr immediately had goose bumps all over the body. So many things happened in a chain, which showed that this was not just a coincidence.

“Who stole it? Are there any clues?”

“The video showed that it was a van. Not long after his body got sent into the corpse room, some man came out with a sack. I doubt his corpse is now in the sack.”

“Send this announcement out and stop that van!” yelled Chief Carr.

“Sir. That was half an hour ago. I got the security video and found that the van parked in the airport.”

“Go to the airport right now!” Chief Carr hurriedly rushed out of the hospital and went straight toward the airport.

After half an hour, Chief Carr checked the van with his men, but got no clues at all.

“Did you get the tape or not?” yelled Chief Carr.

“We got it. The driver transmitted the sack through a special lane and boarded it to a private jet. Now it already took off, heading to the other side of the planet.”

Chief Carr immediately got speechless. What kind of mess was that?

“What the heck? They stole his corpse and sent it across the ocean? This is some bullshit.”

After murmuring, Chief Carr dialed Maximilian’s number and reported this accident to him.

“I am so sorry. It was my men’s fault. I don’t understand this whole thing.” Chief Carr explained awkwardly.

“It’s fine. Let them do whatever they like. Thank you for everything.” Maximilian said lightly.

“Those are my responsibilities. How about, I send some people to protect you now?”

“No need. I’ll watch out.”

After hanging up the phone, Maximilian raised his eyebrow. He already had a guess about the whole thing.

However, Maximilian was not interested in these things. They could not make any messes for him no matter how hard they tried.

Victoria looked at Maximilian curiously, “Who was it?”

“It was Chief Carr. He talked about the case, and offered to send me some help, but I reject it.”

“Ok.” Victoria nodded and went back reading the files.

“Why did you suddenly ask me that? Did you think it was a lady?” Maximilian asked with a smirk.

Victoria glared at Maximilian and said teasingly, “Go dreaming about it. Who else would be interested in you except me?”

“That’s not true anymore. I am no longer the Maximilian in the past. Don’t you find my charm now? There might be many girls chasing after me in the future.”

“Then I will be worried about it when that happens. There is no need for me to worry about it now.” Victoria said with a cute smile.

Maximilian shrugged his shoulders, “It seems that I am not charming enough. I thought making myself look handsome would make you treat me better.”

“Ok. I have to work now. No time for this. This is the key period for the company right now. There are too may things to deal with, and I can’t even take a break.”

Looking at Victoria’s serious attitude, Maximilian got up to serve her a cup of water.

“You know, it is not necessary for you to handle everything. Do you know how the ancient wisdom Mr. Zhuge die? You need to attribute some works to your employees.”

“Mr. Zhuge was managing the whole country. I am just running a small company. It’s different. I can’t be relieved unless I keep an eye on these works.”

Maximilian held Victoria’s hand and put it on his face, “You need to get a team. That’s how you can make it big. Working alone is far from enough.”
