This year, there will be an annual economic forum, and I will give a keynote speech. I will send you an invitation, and please come to see how those economists show their admiration and respect for me!"

"Well, I can't wait to see it." said Maximilian with a teasing smile.

"Just wait and see!" cried Keegan, rolling and crawling out of the room.

Getting out of Lasdun, Keegan got back to his car and fished out his phone. He briefly browsed his contacts and talked to himself with hesitation, "Shall I contact Thompson? My tutor says he is in H city now, and Maximilian will not be a problem anymore if I contact him."

After a while of silence, Keegan finally made the decision and dialed Thompson’s number.

The call was through. After a long grumbling, an evil smile emerged on his face. He said to Thompson, "I will be in H city these days. My father has a history with Victoria’s family, and I will figure out a way to bring you guys into the housewarming banquet."

"That would be marvelous! Just help us get into the banquet. After we fix Maximilian, you can then do whatever you want to him." Thompson responded in a rather delighted tone.

In these days, Thompson and his men had been cautious and restrained, hiding themselves in the shadows and waiting for an opportunity. After a few discussions, they had reached an agreement and decided that the housewarming banquet would be their chance.

What made them frustrated was that there was no way to slip into the banquet without attracting any attention, as they were all foreigners and it was easy to distinguish them even with disguise.

Now, things had changed, as they could get help from Keegan. Therefore, it would be much easier for them to carry out the plan.

On the other end of the line, Keegan gave a joyous response to Thompson, "OK, you have my words! By then, only trampling on his legs and face can ease my rage!"

Keegan hung up the phone after exchanging more words with Thompson. Afterwards, he spat on the ground and murmured, "Let's see who will laugh to the last, Maximilian. As a man with status and background, I will never try any equalitarian strategy with you again!"

In the private room, Maximilian and Victoria were enjoying their desserts and juices, talking with each other happily.

Having noticed the sense of romance between them, the manager asked the waitresses and went out of the room together, leaving Maximilian and Victoria alone.

"I have never noticed you know so much about economics. Is there anything else you can do but have not told me yet?" Victoria said, looking at Maximilian with her blinking eyes, as if he was her idol.

"Well, I have read some books, and fortunately one book mentioned Kondratiev wave." Maximilian answered, "As for what I can do, that is a long story to tell. Instruments such as harmonica, I play the best among many others; painting, my availability to that is only restricted to abstraction; equestrian, I think my skill is at the top level; golf, skating, diving, surfing, parachuting, Para motoring. Talking about his versatility, Maximilian felt he was by no means ordinary. All these things were intended to nurture nobility rather than usual hobbits of the common people.

"Impressive! Listen, I'm wondering if we could go to the coast and try diving and surfing after everything goes on track in the company. I'm a newbie and you have to teach me swimming, diving, and surfing. I heard there will be sharks in the sea... You can take good care of me, can't you?" Victoria said with anticipation.

"Of course! I'm a good enough coach and you can count on me for that. If there is any shark during to come, I would kick them away and keep you safe and sound." Maximilian answered with full confidence.

"Your safety means a lot to me, my dear, and I don’t want you to fight with the sharks. All I want is to have a happy life with you. Now, close your eyes, and I'm going to reward you for your good performance."

"Well, I would like to know what kind of reward requires my eyes closed." Though he said in a doubtful way, Maximilian closed his eyes before his words came out.

Her face red with shyness, Victoria said bashfully, "Just close your eyes, and wait until I told you to open it."

Hearing that, Maximilian squeezed his eyes and closed tightly. In the meantime, Victoria also slowly closed her eyes, put her face close to that of Maximilian, and gave him a sweet, tender kiss.
