Chapter 659 Not Qualified to be My Follower

The chef was very confident of his strength since cooking was heavy work. Back when he started to learn to cook, the first thing he had done was to shake the wok.

An iron wok was already heavy enough, and there was half wok of sand in it. The learner had to shake the wok up and down with one hand. When the sand could fly high in the air while none of it was spilt out of the wok, the learner passed the round of shaking the wok.

Just shaking the wok was enough to build up strong arm muscles, so chefs were usually powerful physically.

However, the chef was exerting his utmost strength now, but je failed to move the kitchen knife even a bit, which made him doubt everything about himself.

Could it be that Maximilian was also physically powerful? Even if he was, he had just eaten the drugged food! He should have been weak all over now!

It was not right! Could it be that Maximilian was not affected by the drug?

"Have… haven’t you been affected by the drug? It’s impossible!"

"Nothing is impossible. You’ll never get by with your little trick. Preston has played his cards so poorly, which really disappointed me."

Maximilian shook his head, his look full of disdain, as if it was shameful to mention Preston.

The chef was fuming with rage. He clenched his teeth hard and glared at Maximilian. "How dare you? Our young master is not someone you can comment on. Fix this loser Maximilian!"

The sous chef and the helpers rushed up one after another, swinging at Maximilian with their ladles, woks and cutting boards.

Maximilian stared scornfully at the people dashing towards him and flung up the hand holding the chopsticks. The kitchen knife in the chef’s hands flew away.

When Maximilian flung up his hand, he put forth his strength tactfully. Spinning, the kitchen knife flew up to the sky, went over the chef’s head and dashed towards the top of the head of the sous chef, who was running up to Maximilian.

The sous chef got scared and staggered backwards, blocking the helpers’ ways behind him who were charging. Suddenly, the crowd bumped together in a mess. They could move neither forward or backward.

The kitchen knife fell down into the crowd, chipping off one of the helpers’ right ear.

"Ouch! My ear is cut off! My ear!"

The helper covered the wound gushing with blood with his hand, screaming in terror.

The sous chef and the others watched him, terrified. They drew themselves backwards, cringing. None of them dared to rush forward anymore.

The chef regretted that he had acted too smugly just now. Now he was snickering nervously while backing off. "Well, don’t get too conceited. Our young master will arrive soon, and you’ll get a good beating!"

"Preston is on his way? Then I will have a good chat with him. Since he has messed up my family’s housewarming party, I’m going to hold him accountable."

With his arms crossed in front of his chest, Maximilian waited for the arrival of Preston calmly.

Before long, Preston’s car stopped outside the villa.

Preston strode into the villa, glanced around the yard and frowned.

The situation was totally different from Preston’s expectation. He had imagined that when he arrived, the whole villa would be under the chef’s control. All he needed to do would be to humiliate Maximilian.

However, now the chef and the others were bunching up in a panic, while Maximilian was sitting aside with a casual air. Apparently, Maximilian had gained the upper hand.

"What happened exactly? What are you doing here?" Preston roared in anger.

"Young master, we, we are no match for him. He is actually fine after having the drugged food!" The chef answered, pulling a long face.

Preston was stunned. He looked at Maximilian in astonishment. "He’s OK? How can it be?"

"But he is OK. We saw him having the dishes with our eyes wide open, but, but he is still OK now, not having any symptoms at all!"

Preston glared at the chef in fury, thinking that he had raised a bunch of trashes who couldn’t even handle a small task.

"A bunch of idiots! Couldn’t you kidnap a hostage to threaten him? Everyone around you could have been your hostage!" Preston thundered with rage.

"Hey, Richardson, you dirty asshole. Let’s not talk about the drugged food. You even want to hold the innocent people hostage. Are you worthy the name of 'the seclusion family'?"

"So what if I’m from the seclusion family? Those who make great achievements don’t stick to trifles. I, Preston Richardson, never go after fame or money! I don’t care about those details!" Preston asserted in a positive tone, as if it was a great thing to do.

"A dog and a wolf can’t go far. Why am I feeling sick talking to you? Let’s stop talking nonsense. Let me kick you back to your hometown and the whole world will become serene."

"Fuck! How dare you say that? I’ll show you what I’ve got today!"

The furious Preston lifted his robe and drew out the two daggers from his waist. With the two daggers in both hands, Preston seemed to be a different person, exuding coldness and ferocity all over.

"I wanted to humiliate you slowly, but now that you’ve infuriated me, I will send you straight to hell!"

"Go ahead. Let me see if you are able to do that."

Maximilian crooked his finger gently, a disdainful smile on his face.

Preston, who was furious, flared up due to Maximilian’s expression right now. He waved both daggers in his hands and rushed towards Maximilian without hesitation.

Maximilian picked up the plate at the side of the table and flung it out. The plate was of palm size, used for placing bones and food residue.

When the plate was flung out from Maximilian’s hand, it drew a white line in the air, flying to Preston at lightning speed.

Preston narrowed his eyes, waved his daggers and chopped at the plate with a cold smile.

"You’re not a total good-for-nothing, but with your lousy skill, you can’t even tie my laces!"

Preston slashed at the plate with the daggers. However, the moment the daggers hit the plate, something extraordinary happened.

With a loud crash, that plate wasn’t cut into two halves as Preston expected, but exploded into pieces itself before the blades touched it.

The porcelain chips didn’t fly out in all directions. Instead, they shrouded Preston’s whole body like a vast blur of mist and rain.

Preston fell into a total panic!

Preston was terrified. He had never watched the scene in front of him before. At this point, a ripple of fear for death welled up inside Preston, as if he would die the next moment!

Preston backed off in a flurry, wanting to get out of the blur of mist made of porcelain chips, but the faster he drew back, the faster the mist rushed forward.

Before Preston could take two steps back, the mist had already surged in front of Preston and plunged into his body.

With a flurry of undetectable noise, there were countless tiny holes appearing on the robe Preston was wearing, while tiny beads of blood ran out of the wounds, staining his robe red gradually.
