Seeing Maximilian’s grim face, Connor pounded the table, “These bastards are idle all day. They can’t do something useful, but are good at some crooked ways. Mr. Maximilian, I’ll deal with it and won’t let Nevaeh suffer from it unfairly!

Connor was about to ask someone in to deal with it when Maximilian waved his hand and stopped Connor.

“Take it easy, Connor. Listen to Nevaeh finish her description first.” Maximilian comforted Nevaeh, who then stopped crying.

“Maximilian, when they saw you coming in with this man, they supposed you were someone with great social status so they wanted to curry favor with you, but they didn’t have a way to do it. Then my classmate said that men are lecherous, and they let me seduce you. But I don’t want to. When I was crying outside, I wanted to run away, but I’m afraid they’ll badger with me in school. I really don’t mean to seduce you.”

Nevaeh was so worried. She was afraid that Maximilian would misunderstand and despise her, but the more she explained, the more she couldn’t do it, which made her even more anxious. As a result, she burst into tears again.

Connor was shocked and stupefied.

Was Maximilian thinking about such things just now? And he thought about it so seriously?

Maximilian let his imagination run away with him then he shook his head forcibly. He thought he’d better keep a low profile later.

“Nevaeh, they should bully you. How do you think to teach them a lesson? As for your classmate, how do you want to deal with him?”

“Well, I don’t know.” Nevaeh winced with kind of panic on her face, “How about asking them to let me go and never bothering me again? I’m afraid they’ll pester and retaliate against me.”

Nevaeh expressed her worries.

Connor laughed and said with pride and confidence, “Don’t worry, Nevaeh. As long as I give orders, no one in H City dare to trouble you. I don’t have an opinion of those guys. We must teach them a lesson. Mr. Maximilian, how do you say?”

Connor looked at Maximilian as if he were Maximilian men and was waiting for Maximilian’s instructions.

Maximilian tapped on the table, “Then bring them here. They need to be given a lesson indeed.”

“Yes, Mr. Maximilian.” Connor responded, walked out of the box and asked his men to take those men here.

Vinnie and Alan took the order and led a group to rush into the box which those young men were.

Tate was picking up food for Gardner. Tate’s face turned grim when she saw someone breaking in.

“Who are you? How dare you to break in...”

Before Tate could finish her words, Gardner slapped her in her face, “Shut up, bitch. You are not in a position to talk!”

Tate covered her face and looked at Gardner in disbelief with tears in her eyes.

Gardner didn’t give Tate a look, but stood up with those young rich men and looked at Vinnie respectfully.

“Mr. Vinnie, Mr. Alan, welcome. I’m so sorry the bitch is so ignorant that she should say such words to offend you. I’ll pour you a glass of wine and drink three glasses on my own to extend my apology.”

Gardner’s behavior astonished Tate. Only at this time did Tate realize that she couldn’t afford the consequence of offending those men.

‘Gardner was usually powerful than anyone else. Why the two frightened him so much?’ Tate pondered.

At this time Gardner had drunk three glasses of wine.

“Mr. Vinnie and Alan, I have drunk three glasses of wine. You just have a meal. We haven’t seen you for a long time. We miss you so much.”

Vinnie pulled a face then he sneered, “Miss us? Please don’t. We don’t need. You just go with us. Mr. Connor wants you to go for him.”

Vinnie’s words silenced the private room. Everyone else all had a bad feeling.

They didn’t think there’s something good for them when they saw Vennie and Alan’s looks.

The coldness in Vennie and Alan’s faces frightened the people in the room. Several young rich men were so scared that they couldn’t even support their legs and fell down on the chairs.

Gardner’s legs trembled. He stretched out his hands to hold on to the table to keep himself from showing any trace of fear.

“Sir, how Mr. Connor wants us to go for him? We are not qualified to meet Mr. Connor at all. Is there any mistake?”

“Well, are you questioning me? Or you mean I am too useless to make such mistakes?” there was fierceness in Vinnie’s voice.

Gardner’s hands trembled even more violently, and eventually he couldn’t support himself and dropped into a chair.
