Maximilian did not bother him and thought about it differently. He was observing the dead’s face to judge when he became pale.

There must be some symptoms if he was poisoned. Maximilian saw that the middle-aged man was still fine just now with his face ruddy, but now he was dead and pale.

Grace finally said, "He was dead not for a long time, and the murderer could not run far."

Maximilian thought so. He subconsciously looked around and wanted to find someone sly. The murderer would become furtive and be afraid of anything after killing people.

This incident also drew the police’s attention in H City, so a policewoman, Jude, also came here. Those hatchet men realized that Maximilian had provoked their boss.

Besides, Maximilian beat them brutally, and they all bore him a grudge in their hearts. Therefore, they kept discrediting Maximilian to Jude.

Hearing that, Jude did not fully believe them. She thought that they must have hidden some facts and did not regard Maximilian as the murderer.

She also knew these people, who were always idle and had criminal records. But Maximilian was a model who had caught the most fierce criminal in the northwestern territories with Chief Carr. Anyway, Maximilian could not be the murderer.

After seeing Jude, Grace directly told her the key point, "The deceased was poisoned, and we were looking for the murderer."

Jude was surprised by Grace, she looked at him gratefully because at least he provided some clues.

Thinking of that, Jude ran out immediately but suddenly became puzzled because she did not know where to go. After all, they did not find any clues about the whereabouts of the murderer.

Maximilian walked through the crowd and ran down the street. He saw a man with a cap walking quickly. Maximilian was slightly stunned and then smiled scornfully.

He would like to cover his face with a cap like a spy, which would definitely make people suspicious. Because of his weird dressing and behavior, Maximilian thought that he must have ulterior motives.

Only those who did something wrong would try to escape. With this psychological theory, Maximilian did not hesitate and decisively caught the man with the cap.

"Stop." Maximilian said coldly.

The man did not turn back and sprinkled the pour in his hands like a frightened bird, which temporarily made Maximilian close his eyes.

With his eyes closed, Maximilian coughed and stepped back. When he opened his eyes, the man had escaped.

He became angry and made sure that the cap man had done something bad and made an escaping plan; otherwise, he would not run away with a guilty conscience.

Maximilian tried his best to remember the appearance of the man with the cap and sent a message about it to Jude.

Grace came out and saw flour on Maximilian’s clothes. She thought that something had happened and asked, "Are you all right?"

Maximilian shook his head, and Jude smiled and said, "Thank you for your evidence. I’ll find that person as soon as possible."

"OK. I believe you." Maximilian nodded. Jude did not take him back for questioning and regarded him innocent. Maximilian thought that Jude was smart at least in this respect.

The subordinates of the dead middle-aged man ran out and kept accusing Maximilian, "Miss Jude. It must be him. He killed our boss."

Jude said coldly, "Your boss was poisoned. I’ve also watched the surveillance video. He’s not a murder suspect."

Those men were a little appalled at the result but gave up when they realized that they had no evidence. After all, they had a lot of criminal records. Thinking of that, they were about to leave soon.

Seeing that, Maximilian immediately smiled. He thought that these people were ridiculous because they obviously accused Maximilian of the theft and try to sneak away themselves. He said with a smile, "Miss Jude, they were gathering and fighting. Maybe you should catch them."

Those men were ready to run away and stopped smiling when they heard Maximilian's words. They looked at Maximilian angrily and said, "Boy, you are courting death. You'd better shut up."

Maximilian looked at those guys coldly and was not scared at all. He was not afraid inside just now, let alone here. He knew that Jude and her fellows were still staring at them.

They shuddered and had a bad feeling when they realized that Jude was looking at them coldly. They almost got mad and were extremely appalled at the result.

They could hardly believe it, but they had witnessed it. They became depressed and confused. However, they then signed with relief after realizing that Jude did not catch them just now.

But they did not know that Jude ignored them temporarily because she was anxious to catch the murderer. Now she got no clues about the murderer and was ready to deal with those guys.

Even if Maximilian did not say it, Jude would not let those men go out. She waved and said, "They’ll be arrested. They had criminal records and were gathering to fight.".

Jude was a team leader, and her colleagues all followed her instructions without hesitation, so they started to arrest those men respectively.

Soon they were under control by Jude’s team.

Jude calmly said, "Take them away."

Those strong men were extremely embarrassing. They seemed to cry but had no tears. They regretted talking to Jude and Maximilian and thought that they should go straight away.

Maximilian knew that Jude arrested those people for his sake.

Grace realized that it was useless to continue the investigation because the patricide was dead. She knew that those people were instructed.

However, fortunately, the chief plotter was dead, so Grace did not worry so much.

Maximilian said goodbye to Jude, and Grace suddenly became confused. Now that the patricide was dead, she wondered if she should stay in H City or return to the Western Regions.

She thought that she could not go back because she had no money now, and more importantly, she still owed Maximilian a lot of favor, so she could not leave.

She thought that she could stay in H City for a few days first, and after making some money, she would return the money to Maximilian, so that it could be settled.
