Chapter 882 Double Standard

Chapter 882 Double Standard

Aescul never thought Maximilian could be so powerful. He wouldn't believe it if he hadn't seen this by himself.

He looked murderous because so many people were watching him, and Maximilian had embarrassed him greatly.

The middle-aged woman was surprised, too. She thought Maximilian could never beat Aescul, but Maximilian had totally changed his impression on her.

The middle-aged man was also surprised and couldn't help feeling a bit confused. He wondered since when his daughter's subordinates became so powerful.

Maximilian said coldly, "You've lost the fight. Now get out of here."

Aescul's face looked pale upon hearing those words. He reckoned with Maximilian just now. "The loser will get out of there". Apparently, he was the loser now.

Jude looked at Aescul with a meaningful smile. She would be glad if he was willing to leave.

Aescul started to be cheeky, which was exactly what he was good at. He hummed, "I didn't lose. Who said that?"

Maximilian wasn't surprised. He had seen this coming. If Aescul was willing to leave now, he wouldn't have stayed for so long from the very beginning.

Maximilian mocked, "You said the loser will go out. Why are you denying it?"

"Just admit you've lost the fight! Why are you denying it? I hate dishonest people." Jude took an angry look at him. She didn't want to see Aescul anymore. She hoped the guy could get out of her sight as soon as possible.

Aescul looked so embarrassed. If this were before, he would've changed his mind already, but if he did that, he would not only lose his face, but also gave Maximilian the opportunity to get close to Jude.

If he left now, Jude would definitely look down upon him.

Just by then, the middle-aged woman stood up and began to help Aescul out. She said, "Nobody gets to let him leave. He's our guest, and we never drive any of our guests away."

Aescul was delighted when he heard this. He forgot the middle-aged woman liked him. He felt so lucky that he had already pleased his future mother-in-law in advance.

Jude didn't know how to stop her mother. The woman tried to keep every man Jude hated around and drive away everyone she liked.

Maximilian's mouth twitched slightly. The woman was double-standard. He was the guest of this family, too, but she had driven him away.

But she was treating Aescul so politely. That made sense to Maximilian because he knew Aescul had a significant family background. Moreover, the guy had brought gifts here.

Aescul was overjoyed because he knew he could start. He looked at Maximilian proudly and snorted, "However powerful you are, you can never be my match."

Maximilian ignored those words and looked at the man. Aescul was an idiot, and this might be his last chance to get so proud.

Dinner had already been served by then. They sat at the table. Maximilian wasn't talking to each other, but they had "communicated" a lot through eye contacts.

Aescul picked up a drumstick for Jude and said with a smile, "Come on, have a taste."

Jude disliked Aescul. She would never accept anything from Aescul, no matter it was his gift of a drumstick. She put the drumstick in Maximilian's bowl.

Maximilian smiled bitterly. The drumstick made him the focused point of this dining room, but he wasn't afraid. He hated Aescul, too. He wouldn't mind this if this could infuriate Aescul.

Aescul felt very uncomfortable when he saw what Jude do. He gritted his teeth and looked at Maximilian as if he wanted to eat the man alive. Maximilian ignored him.

"Just take some more," the middle-aged woman kept helping Aescul to the dishes. He didn't even look at Maximilian.

Aescul suddenly had no fear because he had his future mother-in-law on his side. There was nothing Maximilian could do no matter how powerful he could be.

Just by then, somebody knocked at the door again. Everybody in the room was surprised because they didn't expect other people to come tonight.

Jude was sitting closer to the door. She walked over and opened it, and her face turned sullen as soon as she saw the young man standing outside. She didn't greet him and turned over, walking to her seat.

"Jude...my dear sister." the woman rubbed his hands and smiled.

Aescul thought another rival had come when he saw the young man. He felt lots of pressure until the young man called Jude "sister". That was when he breathed a sigh of relief.

He knew the guy must be Jude's brother, which meant that he had to flatter this young man. To please his future brother-in-law, he gave him a cigarette and said, "Hi, are you her brother? Nice to meet you. I'm Jude's friend."

Aescul had a very high EQ, and he was a really good talker. He started to chat with the guy as if they had known each other for a long time.

The young man took it proudly. When he saw the sign on the cigarette, he knew that the cigarette was very expensive. His eyes lit up again when saw the clothes of the designer's brands on Aescul.

Maximilian suddenly realized that the vibe in the room had changed since the young man entered the house.

Maximilian was confused. He knew there must be a hidden story behind this.

the middle-aged man put down his chopsticks. He was too upset to eat. His wife, unlike what she was usually like, didn't even raise her head to look at the guest coming in.

"Well, it seems that dinner's ready. Why didn't call me?" The young man laughed.

Jude said coldly, "What are you doing here? You are not one of us anymore."

Aescul was also confused now. He decided not to speak when he felt the vibe going wrong.

The carefree young man pulled himself a chair and took out an amulet from his pocket. Then he smiled at the middle-aged woman and said, "Mom, it's your birthday today. I've got you a peace amulet."

His mother hesitated for a second and accepted it.

However, the middle-aged man quickly took over the amulet and snorted, "Why are you taking his gifts? He's such an ungrateful brat! With that much money he had, he doesn't want to spend one more penny on you to buy something nicer? Where did he get this? Some vendor on the streets?"

the middle-aged woman heard this and replied with a smile, "He had paid for it after all. At least he knew he should buy me something. You don't have to make such a scene."

The young man couldn't stop nodding his head. the middle-aged man yelled angrily, "You've spoiled him too much! He would sooner or later destroy this family!"

The young man laughed awkwardly and said, "Dad, please don't be mad. I know this is your favorite..."
