'That fool!'
That was what Jin had screamed in his mind when Issei called his Boosted Gear and decided to face Vali.
Being confident was fine. But being overconfident was bad. Issei should've known when to back up and run without even thinking about his pride.
Kiba was just like his little brother. He knew that the blonde boy was consumed by rage now, but that didn't mean doing something reckless would give him a good result.
Challenging Vali wasn't something wise. It was just straight suicidal. From his estimation, Issei's strength was similar to when he faced Vali for the first time. It was just weak too weak compared to his current self.
Even he wasn't too confident of beating Vali currently if the Hakuryuukou fought seriously. He still needed to get more experience and skills from drinking milk.
Though for now, he would like to observe how things went first. It would be a good experience for Issei if he got beat up. Still, that meant he needed to step up and fight Vali to satisfy the man later.
'It has become troublesome. If the others heard this'
Jin observed the situation calmly, trying his best to keep his presence from being known by the three people who started to rush at each other.
Issei was in front of Kiba while the blonde boy swung his sword and split the air slightly, preparing himself to attack Vali.
Hakuryukou himself descended to the ground. Maybe the silver haired boy wanted to take the fight fair to make it more interesting. Issei couldn't fly, and Kiba would be disadvantaged because he couldn't use footwork if he fought in the sky.
[Boost!]
Once again, Issei boosted himself and doubled his strength. He arrived in front of Vali and punched him with his left hand.
"Take this!"
"Too slow!"
Vali dodged to the left and then kicked Issei on his stomach.
The Sekiryuutei was blown away, but Kiba had already jumped from behind with his sword swung down.
"Raaa!"
"Oh?! Interesting!"
The combination of attacks between two uncoordinated boys surprised Vali a little. It was a pleasant surprise that made him grin in anticipation. He raised his hand and created a defensive magic circle to block the sword attack.
The sword attack was stopped, and Issei, who had been blown away earlier, joined the attack. A small red ball appeared in front of his gauntlet. It was a condensed Magic Power, a result of his training.
"Get away, Kiba!" The spiky-haired boy shouted loudly.
"On it!"
Issei punched the red ball, and it became a red beam that went toward Vali at a fast speed. "Dragon Shot!"
Kiba leaped into the air and avoided the beam coming at him by flying sideways and avoiding it by some distance. A pair of bat wings appeared behind the boy's back, and he used it to fly away.
Vali turned toward the beam and extended his free hand. It seemed he was about to absorb the attack as an energy source. The translucent blue wings behind Hakuryuukou's back shone as he shouted.
"Divine Dividing!"
[Divide!]
A voice came from the blue gem on the wings, surprising Issei a little. The beam suddenly got smaller and was blocked by the silver-haired boy's defensive magic. It then disappeared, leaving a gouged ground in its track.
Jin was pleasantly surprised by his little brother's growth. He smiled a little behind the bush, a bit proud of Issei's hard work in training.
"Not bad." Vali said with a slight smirk on his face as he observed what had just happened. "But that attack isn't enough to beat me."
"Shut up! I am not done yet."
Issei rushed toward his rival with a hardened expression. As he did so, he called out to his friend.
"Kiba!"
"Right! Sword Birth!" Kiba, who was on Vali's side, stabbed his sword into the ground. Suddenly, a wave of swords spurted out from the ground and rushed toward Vali. All of those swords were created by his Sacred Gear, the Sword Birth, and all were demon swords.
"A Sacred Gear?!" Vali exclaimed as he looked at the sudden onslaught. Hakuryuukou calmly flapped his wings and took off to the sky, evading the sword wave. The demon swords followed him, but they couldn't reach him due to his flying speed.
Issei shouted angrily from above and created another red ball at the tip of his fist. He threw it toward Vali with an explosive roar of anger. It was a high-speed attack, faster than even the Sword Birth technique.
"How interesting!" Vali responded to the red ball with another attack from his right hand. He punched the red ball, and it dispersed into thin air, not damaging Vali even a little bit. "Is that all?"
"Damn you!" The Sekiryuutei shouted angrily at his opponent. He was frustrated.
Jin thought it was enough. Vali also began to look bored and was about to yawn because of it.
'I think it's time.'
He slowly took a step forward, revealing himself from behind the bush.
"I think that's enough playing with them, don't you think so? How about fighting me right now?"
Hakuryuukou turned to him. Kiba and Issei also did so at the same time.
"Nii-san?"
"Hyoudou-kun?"
"Oh? Finally revealing yourself?" Vali smirked and slowly descended to the ground. "I think I will have more fun fighting you."
"I hope so too. But, first" Jin turned to Kiba. "Kiba-kun. I think you should return to the Kuoh Academy first. Rias is worried about you."
"That's" Kiba seemed to hesitate to answer. Heck, he bit his lips hard, seemingly feeling guilty for ignoring Rias' order.
The red-haired heiress had ordered her knight not to act rashly. But because of Kiba's hatred against Excalibur fragments, he ignored the order and chose to find it himself.
That was why Kiba felt guilty. But Jin needed Kiba to return. He had promised Rias to take care of her knight. And Jin was by no means someone who would break his promise.
"If you return now, I will give you a chance to follow me searching for the Excalibur fragments in the future. I will also let you take care of the perpetrator behind this; someone called Valper Galilei." He said.
Kiba's expression suddenly changed, and he looked at him with hatred. But the hatred wasn't directed at Jin, but at the name he had just muttered.
"Are you sure that's the name behind the perpetrator?"
"I am sure. Take Issei with you while you're at it."
"Alright." Kiba nodded. "You heard your brother, Issei-kun."
"But He!" Issei pointed at Vali, but Jin stopped his movement with a glare and a cold voice.
"Issei Get away Now!"
His little brother gritted his teeth as Kiba approached. The blonde boy put his hand on Issei's shoulder, and they walked away slowly.
Jin looked at them left before turning to Vali.
"So, why did you fight them? It is not in our agreement." He said, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Sekiryuutei and Hakuryuukou are destined to fight. Is there any other reason?" Vali bit back with a smirk.
"That Sekiryuutei is my little brother. I told you he's not ready yet."
"I just want to test him." Hakuryuukou shrugged his shoulders. "Well, thanks to that, I can get to fight you right now. So, are we gonna fight?"
"Sigh" Jin let out a long sigh as he created a light sword in his hand. "Fine. Just for 5 minutes."
"That's enough."
