Earth Became a Cultivation World When I Returned From Another World

Chapter 10: The Tower

Chapter 10: The Tower

Chapter 10: The Tower

Levi walked for almost two hours before arriving at the outskirts of the city, an area with many slums.

Even just by looking around, one could feel the gloom of this area.

There were so many gangsters or vagrants everywhere holding bottles of alcohol.

It was a good thing most of them were not cultivators or else they would have become a scourge to society.

Levi was rather unsure why most mysterious places appeared in neighborhoods like this.

In no time, he found the so-called Strongest Warrior Tower.

It was pagoda-like, enormous with a height of up to a hundred meters.

Upon observation, it was apparently divided into ten floors.

The walls on each floor displayed a picture of a certain creature, either a monster or an undead.

On the first floor, for example, there was a picture of an ape with golden fur, perhaps three times larger than a human whose fangs extended past its chin.

Next to the pictures, there are rows of names, not only European names, but also Asian names. There was even the name of the city they were from.

On the lower floors, there are about 500 names but as you go higher, there are fewer and fewer.

On the seventh floor, for example, there are only five names but on the eighth, ninth and tenth floors, there are no names.

Besides the name and hometown, each name also has their own time to complete each floor.

Some took an hour but some were faster, taking only ten minutes.

Of course, even though the tower was in a slum neighborhood, it had been taken over by the elite.

Around it was built a round building with many doors where security guards stood guard.

Levi didn't go in right away either. He read the names from bottom to top.

One name on the seventh floor caught his interest.

"Alex Davidson from Moon City!"

He narrowed his eyes when he saw the name, wondering if it was the Alex he knew.

It was one of the men she had seen at his parents' mansion.

It could be said that he was the head of the youth group living in the mansion.

Levi did not think about it for too long.

The other four names he did not recognize at all because they were not from Moon City.

He stepped towards the round building then stopped in front of its door as he was blocked by a security guard.

"Which guild are you from?" The security asked him a question.

As Charlotte had said.

Cultivators were divided into many groups that competed with each other.

Those groups were called guilds where each had their own name.

Although not required to join a guild, most cultivators were affiliated with a certain guild.

If without a guild and not a member of the government, one is often called a rogue cultivator, a title copied from cultivation novels.

Those who are called rogue cultivators are often made difficult to enter places that are already controlled, such as the Strongest Warrior Tower for example.

Despite living in Charlotte's house, Levi was unfortunately not a member of the guild led by the woman.

Nor did he plan on joining.

Even in the real world of cultivation, he always walked alone, let alone just earth which was a small world.

"I'm not a member of any guild, are there certain requirements?" asked Levi.

"If you're not a member of any guild, you have to pay 1000 Dollars for each floor," replied the security.

One floor cost a thousand dollars, which meant he had to pay ten thousand dollars.

However, this was not a high price for him.

He calmly took out his bank card while replying, "then I'll pay for ten floors right away."

He saw a swipe machine on the desk beside the door, so that meant being able to pay just by swiping the card.

The security guard was a bit surprised to hear that he wanted to pay directly for ten floors.

His expression was like he was wondering if this man thought he had the ability to skip all ten floors.

However, since he wanted it that way, the security naturally did not refuse.

After all, the money from the payment would be shared partially with the security. He was naturally happy.

He quickly picked up the card swipe machine and pressed a few buttons on it.

"Go ahead and enter the pin," he said, directing the swipe machine to Levi.

The latter immediately swiped his card and entered his pin.

Even he looked impatient.

Once done, ticket after ticket came out of the swipe machine.

Each ticket had a picture of a pagoda-like tower with a number on the side.

There were ten in total.

The security guard handed all the tickets to him.

Taking the tickets, he stepped into the building.

Inside he saw the tower that had ten large gates.

Of course, each gate was also guarded by a security guard and they were big, had a strong aura and held a large sword.

There were no numbers explaining which gate was the first or second floor. However, it could be guessed as the gates were of different sizes, ranging from the smallest to the largest though overall even the smallest gate was large.

The smallest gates are not the most entered.

It was the second and third gates.

The building doesn't actually have a roof, so if you look up, people can see the tower all the way to the top.

It didn't matter how many people entered the gates. There was no need to queue.

Levi just stopped for a while and entered the first gate after handing over his ticket to the security guarding it.

When he entered the gate, his body seemed to teleport.

However, his teleportation was not fast, he seemed to be trapped in an infinite darkness where a mysterious aura surrounded him.

It turned out that the process was longer than he had imagined.

It was more than five minutes before he appeared in a place, more precisely on top of a tree branch in a very dense forest.
