Chapter 8: Come
When he came out of his room, he found that Charlotte had also come out of her room in a new outfit, which was also a black polo shirt with a white collar and trousers that she had folded slightly.
She was also wearing a hat with the top open so that her ponytail could be seen.
This surpassed even yesterday because even people who knew who she was and her secret would think it wasn't her.
The current her was a young girl who had nothing to do with her.
Her gaze seemed sharp when she saw him, seeming like she had the urge to do something to him. Perhaps it was to force him to speak.
"Boss!"
Suddenly one of her servants climbed the stairs to come over to them.
Charlotte had no choice but to stare at her, giving her a look to say what she wanted to say.
"A man came, I don't know who he was, but he seemed very strong. He said he came to deliver a sword that had been bought from him," the servant said.
Levi did not expect that the sword seller came so quickly.
Although Charlotte didn't know anything, she immediately looked at him, knowing that it was probably something he bought with 65 Million Dollars.
"Let's go meet the man," she said to Levi before taking a step.
Levi followed behind her, acting quite casual.
They descended the stairs while the servant followed behind Levi.
In no time, they arrived outside where they saw a man standing outside the entrance gate of the mansion, carrying a long suitcase.
It was hard to see his face as he was wearing a cowboy hat that was tilted downwards so his eyes were covered.
His clothing consisted of a long brown coat.
From his figure, he seemed to have a large physique.
This was the physique of a soldier with extensive experience.
Levi suspected he was a former soldier who had been through many wars.
Charlotte narrowed her eyes when she saw him.
The man was also staring at her, and seemed surprised.
At the same time, Charlotte smiled slightly.
This signaled that she recognized the man.
"Logan, I didn't expect it to be you, so, what kind of sword are you selling for 65 Million Dollars?" she said in a high tone.
It seemed like she had just been scammed so she became angry.
Since Charlotte had spoken, the man had shifted his hat up slightly to reveal a face covered in scratches.
He was probably in his 40s, but it was hard to recognize his face because there were too many scratches.
What was clear was that he gave off a frightening impression. Even adults get scared when they see his face.
That seems to be the reason for his covered-up appearance.
"Charlotte, did you buy my sword?" the man asked.
Surprisingly when he asked, he seemed uncomfortable.
"He bought it," Charlotte replied as she turned her face towards Levi who was only slightly behind her.
Logan stared at Levi, eyeing him up and down with a quizzical expression wondering who he was to Charlotte.
They were the same age and obviously lived in the same house.
When he tried to guess, Logan only suspected that Levi was Charlotte's boyfriend.
After all, in this era, most young people already lived together even if their relationship was limited to dating.
"Logan, you should return some of the money you received if the sword is not suitable," Charlotte said.
She still wanted her money back so she said that.
Logan's expression became rather ugly as he replied, "Charlotte, this is a Class 3 Sword with Spirit. The material is also the strongest among Class 3. 65 Million is a fair price."
Charlotte was immediately shocked at Logan's words so she looked at Levi again with a questioning expression.
She clearly wondered how this boy bought a Class 3 Sword with Spirit. Didn't he know his strength was too small to use such a sword?
For a while Charlotte was silent.
"Even if it's like that, this price is still too much. I hope you reduce it to 40 Million Dollars, and return the rest here," she said after a long silence.
Her words only made Logan's expression worse.
"Charlotte, this is an unreasonable request. And this sword wasn't bought by you. This is my business with that man. Even if you're his girlfriend, you have no right to interfere."
This time, Logan no longer held back his anger.
His eyes were slightly reddish.
He was probably a heavy drinker and when he was angry, the effect of the alcohol he drank increased instantly so his eyes became even redder.
To Charlotte and Levi, his anger was not something important.
However, there was one of his words that made them speechless from losing their minds.
He actually considered them lovers.
If anyone was not too confused, it was the servant because she also had such thoughts.
Just because the two were not staying in the same room, she did not think otherwise.
After all, it was possible that they were still just starting a relationship so they hadn't planned on sleeping in the same room yet.
Plus, it's not necessarily that they don't sleep in the same room just because each of them has a room.
It might be that during the night, one of them moves to the other's room.
All of this was normal.
Little did she know that Charlotte could barely breathe because other people thought that way.
Fortunately, Levi calmed down rather quickly.
He stepped forward as he said, "we're actually just friends, so it's not what you think. No need to refund part of the funds, I don't mind that price."
Explaining this to him was nothing more than small talk.
Of course, Logan and the servant didn't quite believe it.
From their point of view, the friend he was referring to was an overly familiar friend where they realized they liked each other and it only took one small push to change their relationship status.
However, Logan didn't think much of it.
For him, his business was done since Levi said he didn't mind the price of the sword.
He quickly handed the long suitcase in his hand to him while taking photos.
