Chapter 107 - Achievement? ?Title? ?slots.?
*****
On their way from Atlan's hideout to the other end of the Aquatic trial zone, Jay and Akor came across a few Tier-3 Low-Phase monsters, and since Akor had the <Monster Camouflage Buff> on him, none of them attacked him and focussed their attention on Jay.
However, Akor dealt with them without Jay having to do anything. The usage of his Volatile Aqua element, which was hot and acidic in nature, made it easier for him to slay Tier-3 Low-Phase monsters.
After looting those monsters, Jay's Grade-3 <Water Innate Talent> improved to a Grade-5 one.
At the same time, Akor reached the Level requirement after killing those monsters. Instead of evolving to Tier-3, Akor insisted on following Jay and decided to undergo Tier-3 Evolution during the rest period after Day-7.
Akor asked what a SuperCluster level Achievement was, and through a brief chat, Jay learned that he received the notification of the Achievement he accomplished by advancing his Minor Mastery to Major Mastery at such an early stage of the Trial Program.
Jay briefly explained to Akor the five levels of Achievements, (i.e. Galaxy Level Achievement, Galaxy-Cluster Level Achievement, Super-Cluster Level Achievement, Mega-Cluster Level Achievement, Universe Level Achievement) and that accomplishing the respective Achievement Level will provide with the corresponding Achievement points.
Akor listened attentively, and when Jay asked the rank of his Super-Cluster Level Achievement in that respective Category, he replied that it was 570, which means on the scale of the Super-Cluster that the Milky Way Galaxy was in, he was the 57oth life form to achieve Major Mastery in just seven days since the start of the Trial Program.
It's quite an achievement, minding the point that the majority would take months if not years to undergo enlightenment and upgrade their Mastery to a Major one.
After that, Jay explained the importance of the 10 Super-Cluster Achievement Points he obtained as they will be pretty helpful when the 'Achievement Store' function opens in the future.
After that, Akor revealed to Jay the new Achievement Title he received after reaching Major Mastery.
_______
<1st Universe Limit Crosser> (Epic Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title improves the effectiveness of the respective Major Mastery element by 50%.
(i.e., Attack Damage when using the said Major Mastery Element will increase by 50%, Spirit Energy consumption will be reduced by 50%.)
_______
Hearing that, Jay wasn't shocked to learn the effects of Akor's Epic Grade Achievement Title because he already knew that it was an Achievement Title that everyone that assimilated with the System would obtain once they cross the 1st Universe Limit.
That Achievement Title was another reason why the power gap between Tier-3 and Tier-4 was so vast.
Nodding at Akor, Jay advised, "If you haven't already equipped it yet, then replace one of your 7 Achievement Title slots with this one right away. It will give a significant boost to your overall power."
Akor could see that the Epic Grade Achievement Title he obtained looked quite helpful, but still, he consulted with Jay to show his worth.
All his life, Akor wanted to become something great, and for him, it was the title 'Sea Lord', but his hard work was limited by his mediocre talent, reducing his dreams to smithereens.
But now that he managed to accomplish something only a few in the entire Super-Cluster they were in, a sense of pride and accomplishment budded within himself.
Jay already read Akor's thoughts but didn't interrupt his happy moment and went through the 'Achievement Title' Section in his <STATUS>.

There isn't any limit to how many Achievement Titles one could obtain, but only seven of them could be equipped to receive the corresponding Title's effects.
This was similar to how one could only maintain bonds with 7 Spirit Equipment at any given moment.
The number of Achievement Titles Jay had numbered as high as 188. Most of them have the 'Hunter' prefix since they were obtained from slaying monsters.
This Hunter title is named according to the monster species one slays. However, the requirement to obtain a Hunter Title depends on the Tier of those that kill monsters.
In the case of a Tier-2 individual, to obtain an Uncommon Grade Hunter Title, i.e., Greater Hunter Title, they need to kill 100 Tier-2 monsters of any species.
However, if the same Tier-2 individual were able to slay a single Tier-3 monster, they would obtain a Rare Grade Hunter Title, i.e., High Hunter Title, irrespective of whether the monster was in Low-Phase, Mid-Phase or High-Phase is Tier-3.
Since Jay was counted as Tier-2, every Tier-3 monster he killed gave him a Rare Grade Hunter Title, depending on the species of those monsters.
Even though the <Greater Shark Hunter> Title was an Uncommon Grade one, Jay equipped it in one of his slots as it provides him with 20% Water Resistance and since they were underwater, it was the most suitable one to use.
Among the Achievement Titles, the most noticeable ones were the Epic and Legend Grade ones.
_____________
<Skill Collector-I> (Epic Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title slightly increases the learning speed of new Skill Circuits.
--------
<Myriad Innate Talent Possessor-I> (Epic Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title increases the chances of awakening a higher element of the respective Innate Talent Mastery.
--------
<Myriad Mastery-I> (Epic Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title improves the effectiveness of the respective Mastery by 25%
(i.e., Attack Damage when using any of the user's Mastery will increase by 25%, Spirit Energy consumption will be reduced by 25%.)
--------
<Pain Bearer-I> (Epic Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title improves the chances of manifesting the 'Will of Pain' once the <Physical Pain Resistance> & <Mental Pain Resistance> reaches Lv.100.
--------
<Achievement Point Scorer-II> (Legend Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title gives a 40/% discount in the Achievement Store.
--------
<Tier Exceeder-I> (Legend Grade): Equipping this Achievement Title would let the user temporarily hinder any higher Tier opponents with their recovery, whether it's Spirit Energy recovery or Stamina or Health.
_____________
Jay obtained the <Skill Collector-I> Achievement Title from having the possession of so many skills that he looted from the ton of monsters he killed.
As for <Myriad Innate Talent Possessor-I> & <Myriad Mastery-I>, he received them due to his numerous Innate Talents and Masteries.
Among the Epic Grade Achievement Titles, <Pain Bearer-I> was the one that stood out the most. Jay received it because his <Physical Pain Resistance> reached as high as Lv.67 in just a span of 7 days due to undergoing <INVERSE> mode several times.
If anyone from the System assimilated Universe knew about this, they would freak out because improving Resistance Skills takes a serious amount of time.
It would take hundreds if not thousands of years for a typical one to accumulate pain to reach Jay's level in Pain Resistance.
Every time Jay underwent <INVERSE> mode, the sudden change in overall attributes brings out the pain that equals dying several times over.
Recently the pain he received was not so much because the difference between the overall stats in <STATUS> and <LOOTED STATUS> was thin.
Once any Resistance type skill reaches Lv.100, then it acts as a prerequisite to manifest a 'Will' related to that corresponding Resistance.
The 'Will' is something a very few could manifest, but most of those that managed to do that was of Tier-7 and above because only they would be able to live tens of thousands of years to do that.
However, the <Pain Bearer-I> Achievement Title was so miraculous that it could improve Jay's chances to manifest a 'Will'. One would say that even this Title's Grade couldn't justify its real value as it could match a Legend Grade Achievement Title.
Jay looked forward to the day when he could manifest the 'Will of Pain' but thinking about the pain he would have to suffer to reach Lv.100 in both <Physical Pain Resistance> & <Mental Pain Resistance> subconsciously sent shivers down his spine.
But when he looked at the <Achievement Point Scorer-II> Title, his mood took a turn for the good.
Having a 40% discount in the Achievement Store would be highly beneficial in the long term.
He didn't expect to gain such a windfall when the count of Universe Points in his possession reached 5000 by accomplishing several Universe Level achievements.
That only improved his thirst to gain more Universe Points and possibly upgrade the <Achievement Point Scorer-II> Legend Grade Title to an even higher 'Myth Grade' one.
The other Legend Grade Achievement Title, <Tier Exceeder-II>, was even better as it temporarily prevented any of Jay's opponents who were in a higher Tier than him from passively or actively recovering Stamina, Spirit Energy and health during a fight.
It may not sound much, but in a tough fight, this title's effect would work wonders.
Jay obtained the <Tier Exceeder-I> (Epic) Achievement Title after slaying five High-Phase Tier-3 monsters in Earth's Trial Zone while still being at Tier-2 High-Phase. When he slew all 25 of them, it upgraded from <Tier Exceeder-I> (Epic) to <Tier Exceeder-II> (Legend).
After going through the Achievement Title Section, Jay closed his <STATUS>, and Akor was internally motivating himself.
'Come on, Akor, You are not the same untalented person anymore. You even reached Major Mastery at such an early stage. As long as you work hard, you could soon become someone that matters, someone greater than any 'Sea Lord' ever before.'
Jay couldn't help but smile at Akor's self-motivation.
Akor felt Jay's gaze and ended what he was doing with a somewhat awkward smile, and then he thought of something before asking Jay, "Liege, can I ask how many Super-Cluster Level Achievements you have accomplished till now?"
Noticing Jay's silence, Akor assumed that he offended Jay by asking that and quickly explained, "Li….Liege, it's not that I am prying on you, but wan...want to set your accomplishments as my goal."
With a mysterious smile, Jay replied, "Trust me, it's best that you don't learn about them. It wouldn't do you any good."
Akor sighed in relief that Jay was not mad at him. Still, he didn't understand why Jay said that it wouldn't do him any good.
What Akor didn't know was that if Jay really had revealed the sheer number of Universe Level Achievements he made, all of Akor's self-motivation would have gone up the drain as it is almost impossible to accomplish as many Universe Level Achievements as Jay.
