Chapter 248: Engine Roar
Rohan continued, his tone dripping with malice. "In the next few weeks, fake reports and evidence will flood social media. The story we fabricated about your enterprise, Nav-Yuga, pretending to donate to the poor will cause an uproar.
Your own customers will sue Nav-Yuga through a class-action lawsuit, and tens of thousands will join in against your company."
Jay's eyes widened as Rohan detailed his cruel plans. The thugs surrounding them watched in silence.
"During the trial, none of the charities or individuals who supposedly received donations from your enterprise will testify in court. Some will even testify against you, claiming they never received any donations and that your enterprise threatened them to lie in court," Rohan continued, his voice filled with glee.
"As a result, you will lose the case, and the court will order your enterprise to pay for the losses, an amount so large that even liquidating all your assets wouldn't cover it. This will mark the beginning of your enterprise's downfall as the stocks plummet."
Rohan leaned in closer, his breath hot and rancid against Jay's face. "After the court incident, everyone will see Nav-Yuga as a fraudulent enterprise, and sales will hit rock bottom, pushing you toward bankruptcy.
None of your relatives or family friends will help you when you drift into dire situations. They'll cut off their ties with you. You'll watch it all happen helplessly. This will show you how weak and insignificant you are compared to a whale like me."
Rohan's eyes sparkled with madness as he revelled in Jay's despair. "I will take your pathetic life in the most cruel way possible. I planned it all while I was in the hospital." He frantically searched his pockets and found an untidily folded paper, which he unwrapped to reveal crazed drawings.
"First, I'll start by chopping off your arms, piece by piece, then your legs, followed by your ears, nose, and tongue, turning you into a hideous living thing. But I'm not done yet. I'll scrape the skin off your body, puncture holes in your muscles, and finally gouge out your eyes. How does that sound? To me, it sounds delicious."
Rohan rambled like a crazed psycho, his voice filled with sadistic delight. Even the goons and bodyguards listening couldn't help but feel a bit scared, their faces paling at the graphic description.Rohan then proceeded to kick Jay, each blow landing with a sickening thud as he laughed maniacally, his laughter echoing through the grimy, blood-stained concrete.
Jay's vision blurred with pain as he struggled to stay conscious. The relentless assault from Rohan's kicks sent waves of agony through his already battered body.
Each impact felt like a hammer striking his bones, but the physical pain was nothing compared to the torment of Rohan's words. Jay's mind raced, filled with thoughts of his family, and the crumbling future of Nav-Yuga.
Rohan, seeing the pain etched on Jay's face, revelled in his suffering. "Look at you, Jay, Pathetic. How does it feel to know that everything you hold dear will be destroyed? That you'll lose everything?" He kicked Jay again, harder this time, causing Jay to gasp for breath.
The parking garage, once filled with the sounds of battle, was now a chamber of torture, with Rohan's sadistic pleasure as its centerpiece.
The noise woke up Jay's cousin, Lokesh, who immediately shouted, "What the hell is going on? Who are you people?"
Rohan stopped his beating and shifted his attention to Lokesh. "Look who's awake. I heard you don't get along with your cousins. I mean, who could blame you? Those three are freaks with their unique specialities. Since we're on the same page, why don't you show me how much you dislike him with your fists? Make him pass out, and I'll let you be on your way. What do you say?"
Lokesh felt disoriented as he remembered being knocked out from behind right after he parked his car. As he regained his senses, he remained silent for a second, analyzing the situation.
He quickly realized it was all Rohan's doing. Seeing nearly thirty goons unconscious and scattered all over the place and noticing how badly Jay was beaten up, he could guess what happened.
Seeing Lokesh stand in silence, Rohan replied with annoyance, "Decide quickly. I don't have all day."
Observing the bodyguards closing in on him and ready to thrash him, Lokesh quickly made his decision and nodded at Rohan. He then turned toward his cousin.
"Sorry, Jay, I have no choice. Don't hold it against me."
As Lokesh approached, Rohan laughed and gave a gloating look at Jay. "First, your lover, then your friends, and now your own family. I wonder how long you could hold out before breakin—"
Before he could complete his sentence, a fist trailed closer and landed perfectly at the center of Rohan's face, right on his nose. It was none other than Lokesh. As Rohan scrunched in pain, Lokesh pushed away the goons holding onto Jay with all his might and yelled, "Run!!!"
Jay didn't miss the chance to escape and ran with whatever strength he had left in his body. Rohan became so angry that he yelled at his bodyguards, "Urghh!! That bastard!!"....." Are your guns just for show? Shoot their damn kneecaps off. Let's see where they run off to then."
Jay and Lokesh, knowing the danger, didn't run straight across the freeway but dashed into the midst of the maze of cars, highly reducing the chance of being shot at. The remaining eight goons and the two bodyguards gave chase.
The parking garage was dimly lit, the flickering fluorescent lights casting long, eerie shadows across the concrete. Jay and Lokesh darted between the rows of parked cars, their breaths coming in short, ragged gasps.
Jay's body screamed in protest with every step, but the adrenaline coursing through his veins kept him moving.
Behind them, the pursuers spread out, trying to corner them. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed through the garage, along with the occasional barked order. "Spread out! Don't let them escape!"
Jay glanced over at Lokesh, who was scanning the area, looking for any possible escape routes. They weaved through the cars, ducking low to avoid being seen. The pursuers were relentless, their voices getting closer and more urgent.
"Over here!" one of the goons shouted, spotting them for a brief moment. A shot rang out, the bullet ricocheting off a nearby car. Jay and Lokesh ducked lower, their hearts pounding even harder.
"This way," Lokesh whispered, pointing towards a narrow gap between two SUVs. They squeezed through, their pursuers momentarily losing sight of them. The garage was a labyrinth, each row of cars looking the same as the last, but Jay and Lokesh knew they had to keep moving.
They emerged from the gap and sprinted down another row, the sound of footsteps closing in behind them. Jay's vision blurred, the pain in his body nearly unbearable, but he pushed on. Lokesh grabbed his arm, urging him to keep going.
"We're almost there," Lokesh panted, his eyes fixed on the distant entrance to the third basement level. But their pursuers were closing in fast. Jay could hear the sound of their heavy breathing and the thud of their boots on the concrete.
Just as they neared the third basement entry, a goon appeared from around the corner, blocking their path. Jay skidded to a halt, Lokesh right behind him. The goon lunged at them, but Lokesh reacted quickly, delivering a swift kick to the goon's knee, sending him crashing to the ground.
More goons appeared, surrounding them. Jay and Lokesh were trapped, the pursuers closing in from all sides. Jay's heart sank, knowing they were outnumbered and outmatched. But he refused to give up.
"Get ready," Jay muttered to Lokesh, clenching his fists. They stood back-to-back, ready to fight.
The goons attacked, their movements coordinated and brutal. Jay dodged a punch and countered with a jab to a goon's ribs, while Lokesh grappled with another, their bodies locked in a fierce struggle. Despite their injuries and exhaustion, Jay and Lokesh fought with everything they had.
Blows were exchanged, and grunts of pain filled the air. Jay managed to knock one goon unconscious, but another tackled him to the ground. Lokesh was faring no better, struggling against two opponents at once. The situation was dire, their escape seemingly impossible.
Just as Jay thought all hope was lost, he noticed something—a fire alarm on the wall just a few feet away. Summoning the last of his strength, he was about to kick off his attacker and lunge toward it when a loud rumble of a sports car echoed through the parking garage. A sleek black Lamborghini roared down its way, followed by two heavily armoured cars.
