Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1033

Chapter 1033: Greyhound Town

In those few scenes, Alan could see some figures full of strength. Those figures were human-shaped, and they were in flames. Only a few golden armors could be seen through the gaps in the flames, and the patterns on those armors were domineering. Just the patterns themselves conveyed boundless battle intent.

It's an army, Alan thought. Then he added, an army waiting to be summoned.

As for who was waiting for the summons, it was unknown. It was just that Ellen was curious why that will would send him such a message. Also, if there really was such an army in the depths of the Blood King's Cemetery, then who placed it?

Adahua Planet? josei

This possibility was very high. After all, the Blood King's Cemetery could also be a product of the Golden Tree Project. Right now, his understanding of the Golden Tree Project was limited to one king snake base. Even Lucy could not find a single word about the plan in the Royal Library in Adahua Planet. Perhaps only Adahua Planet, who was far away, knew the purpose, process and outcome of the plan.

Fares walked over, and Alan temporarily dispersed the scenes and scenes from his mind. Then, he heard the captain of Ice Moon pointing to the front and saying, "Lord Alan, we can arrive at Greyhound Town tomorrow." I've been to Mosaiore once before. The Grizzly Town is right at the entrance of the Dragonbone Plain. It's one of the few towns that the Grand Hall of the Empire must pass through. "I've been to Greyhound Town before. The people in the town are very friendly. They can provide us with what we need for the journey at a reasonable price."

Alan nodded, "Of course I'm at ease. It seems like I made the right decision when I asked you to be my guide."

Fares laughed. They were now on Sentinel Ridge. The terrain of Sentinel Ridge was quite undulating. The place with the highest terrain overlooked Sardinia City and the Dragon Bone Plain. The environment within a radius of a hundred kilometers was clear at a glance, so it was known as the Sentinel Ridge. After passing through Sentinel Ridge, one would see the Dragon Bone Plain, which was the only way to the Imperial Hall, Mosaiore. Horse bandits abound on the Dragon Bone Plains, and those who come and go like the wind often rob caravans between Sardinia and Mosaior. It wasn't safe to go through the imperial trade routes, but the key was the number of guards.

Therefore, small and medium-sized caravans usually chose to travel together to use their momentum to frighten off horse bandits.

"Lord Alan" Edward walked over and bowed to Allen. Edward's manners were always impeccable in the presence of outsiders. Then he whispered in Alan's ear, "About ten kilometers behind us, Copper Blade found some suspicious fellows. Judging from their attire, they should be some kind of assassin organization. They seem to have followed us all the way from Sardinia."

Ellen nodded, jumped down the grass slope, and shouted to Regis, who was sitting not far away with his saber in his arms, "Do you want to go with me to stretch your muscles and bones?"

Regis's eyes lit up and he jumped up from the ground. Laura, who was feeding the horses, shouted, "I'll go too!"

"Then let's come together." Alan called Green Dragon Knight and the twins from Nelly, ordered twenty more warriors, and left the caravan. Under the cover of Sentinel Ridge's terrain, he quietly picked up the enemy who was following behind him. This was already the second wave of killers they had encountered since they left Sardinia. Ever since they left Sardinia, these killers had begun to appear. Ellen wasn't interested in knowing who hired them. In any case, the killers wouldn't tell them. After all, this was the industry's rule. Allen had decided to kill each other from the beginning, so much so that they were afraid. Those who had killed in the Dark World didn't dare to accept their orders, so they naturally achieved their goal.

So far, the killer who posed a real threat to Alan had only arrived in Sardinia the night before. The expert who was mixed up in the horse team had almost called Alan. As for this, Ellen didn't mind using them to practice sabers on Regis, Laura, and the others. He only acted together just in case.

Before sunset, Alan and the others came back. Regis and the others had only suffered a few minor injuries, but there were twenty more corpses in a mountain behind them. They were all erected for Alan and laid on the path of the mountains.

The next day, before noon, Alan saw Greyhound Town. This was one of several towns located between Sentinel Ridge and Dragon Bone Plain. The town of Greyhound was small, with over a hundred households. Most of the buildings in the town were grey walls and black tiles. The walls were basically uneven and covered in cyan-yellow patches. The wall was even lower, and it didn't seem to have much defensive power. The roads in the town were paved with stone bricks of varying sizes. The roads had not been repaired for an unknown period of time. In some places, stone bricks were lifted and weeds occupied the original space.

However, the atmosphere in the town wasn't cold and xenophobic. As the caravan passed through the town, the residents of the town looked curious and smiled kindly.

The caravan lodged at the only hotel in town. The hotel was not big enough to accommodate everyone in the caravan. So Fares went to the mayor and arranged for the others to live near the hotel. Greyhound Town had few people and few things to do, making it seem quiet and boring. It was spring, and a small river passed through the town, bringing with it many flowers and leaves falling from the upper reaches of the river. This could be considered as adding some greenery to this peaceful town.

The evening sun shone on the river, and Ellen sat on a rock by the river, cutting a piece of wood into the shape of a galloping horse with a demonic dagger. Aaron gave the Trojan Horse to one of the boys, who cheered and ran away with the Trojan Horse. The children cried out and chased the boy through the streets.

Allen smiled. The sunlight shone into his eyes, making his already red eyes as red as autumn maple leaves.

"I've seen a lot of red things in my life. The red color in your eyes is probably the most beautiful red I've ever seen in my life." An old voice rang out. Alan didn't need to look up to know that it was the mayor of Greyhound Town. The old mayor walked to Ellen's side and said, "My son is lucky to have beaten a few beavers today. I wonder if it would be an honor for me to invite my lord to try this mountain game."

Allen stood up and smiled, "I happen to have some bacon with fruit and vegetables. I'll trouble the mayor to take care of it and add food for everyone tonight."

"Good talk, good talk."

As the two of them talked, a woman's voice sounded from a two-story building on the south side of the river. Then, two young men seemed to be blasted out. The one who threw them out was a girl in her early twenties. Her complexion was dark and her facial features were pretty. She seemed to have noticed Alan and Zhen Xia on the other side of the river, so she couldn't help but lower her head and return to her room.
