Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1035

Chapter 1035: Abrupt Change

After checking in, Alan stayed in a room facing the street. Putting down his luggage, he walked to the small balcony and saw the street outside. The sun was shining, and he stretched and knocked on the door. Alan opened the door. Outside the door stood a tall and thin man, followed by two guards. The man was hugging a pocket watch when he saw Allen open the door and hurriedly put it away. He bowed and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Viscount Allen. I'm Clerk Graham, and I'd like to say hello on behalf of Mr. Mayor Jon."

Ellen stepped aside and said, "Come in. You're well-informed. I'd like to visit Mr. Mayor later."

"Who doesn't know about Viscount Allen heading north now? I heard that you've arrived in Sardinia, and we were wondering if you should also arrive in Mosaior." The clerk, Graham, walked into the room, took out a wine-red invitation from his bosom, and placed it on the table, and said respectfully, "Monsieur le Maire invites you to this evening's reception, and I hope Viscount Allen will come."

"Of course. Please help me reply to Mr. Mayor. I will arrive on time."

"Then I won't disturb you. I hope you'll have an unforgettable time in Mosaiore." Graham took off his hat and bowed again, "Goodbye, my lord."

After Graham left, Alan knocked on Lucy's door with the invitation, and Guna opened the door. The girl lowered her head and invited Alan in before leaving the room tactfully. Lucy was on the balcony admiring Mosaio's view of the streets when she heard Ellen's footsteps and said, "I want to keep Guna by my side, do you have any objections?"

"I have an opinion. If I have an opinion, it will only be Fares. He will definitely complain that Guna stays by your side and doesn't have much chance to get close to that girl." Alan walked over and waved the invitation card in his hand, "May I know if I have the honor of having His Highness Lucy accompany me to Mayor Jon's reception tonight?"

Lucy turned her head and narrowed her eyes. "For the sake of your sincerity, Your Highness," she said.

At night, a black carriage stopped at the entrance of the hotel, followed by a group of guards. Although Alan didn't need these guards to protect him, it was enough to give him face. Alan changed his clothes and got into the carriage with the well-dressed Lucy, while the twins followed on both sides of the carriage as Alan's bodyguards.

After Alan and the others left, Fares and Rick invited Regis and the others to the bar for a drink. After bumping into Guna in the aisle, Rick patted Fares on the shoulder and hurriedly invited others. Fares didn't frown when he went on stage to kill his enemies, but he was shy when it came to men and women. He lowered his head and asked, "Well, Miss Guna, we're going to the bar tonight to relax … are you coming?"

Guna smiled and politely declined, "I'm sorry, Mr. Fares. Miss Lucy is accompanying Lord Alan to the party tonight. I'd like to make her some antidote beverage beforehand. You know, drinking too much is bad for her health."

"That's right, then I understand. It doesn't matter, you're busy." Fares laughed dryly.

"I'm sorry again." Guna whispered before leaving.

Rick came back and grabbed Farez's shoulder and asked, "How was it?"

"She's going to make Miss Lucy an antidote. She doesn't have time to go with her." Fares told the truth.

Rick rolled his eyes and shook his head, "Wood."

Fares shrugged his shoulders and did not refute.

The Sand of Time Bar is also well-known at the Orlando Fair, where a limited edition of 100 cocktails called Sedimentary Time is served every night. This wine tastes as sweet as its name and has endless aftertaste. It always stimulates your taste buds and reminds you of some of the most impressive flavors. Like mother's nectar tea, or father's malt wine. Anyone who drinks it will always have a feeling of settling down in the long past.

Because of this cocktail, the middle-sized bar was almost empty every night. By the time Fares arrived with Regis, Adele, and a few other warriors whom they could normally get along with, they could only squeeze themselves to a table in the corner.

Rick came back from the bar with a look of helplessness on his face. They weren't too late, but the dark hours were sold out tonight, and Rick could only order one black beer for each of them. Black beer is not completely black. It is also an original drink created by the sand of time. Blueberries were added to the original beer, turning the color dark purple. After drinking, there was a hint of blueberry fruit aroma. It was also one of the most popular drinks in the bar. josei

The black beer was packed in a large glass, which suited the appetite of the soldiers, and they drank a large mouthful on the spot. Seeing how they drank, Regis reached out to get a glass of wine. He slapped Adele's palm. He glared at her and Adele said carelessly, "Kid won't drink like him. Rick, give him a glass of juice."

The men burst into laughter.

Regis blushed, "I'm not a child anymore!"

He then angrily picked up the beer and poured it into his mouth. As a result, he drank it too quickly and choked on it, causing several soldiers to burst into laughter. Adele shook her head and smiled, "See, I told you to drink." She picked up her glass and drank it slowly. He didn't drink fast, but after a while, a large glass of beer quickly bottomed out. Adele put down her glass and said indifferently, "Come again."

The warriors applauded loudly, and Regis immediately continued to compete. The youth's face turned even redder, and he wished he could find a crack in the crowd. When the bartender brought the beer, the woman's scream came from the other side of the bar. Fares turned around and saw a woman lying on the ground for some reason. Then a man walked out of a table, caught her, and slapped her in the face.

Fares narrowed his eyes and was about to stand up when Rick reached out and gently pressed on his shoulder, whispering, "Don't meddle. This isn't Sardinia."

Rick was right. Mosaio was much bigger than Pisadin. Since the city was big, the water was naturally deep. Moreover, Fares and the others were not locals, so there was only one less thing to do here. Walking outside, most of them understood these principles. Fares nodded and didn't intend to pay any attention. However, the table did not seem to stop. The man pushed the woman and cursed "bitch". At this time, a bartender went over to persuade the man to push him away. The woman took the opportunity to pick up an empty bottle from a nearby drinker and knocked on the man's head.

Fragments splashed everywhere, and the surrounding guests all dodged. The man scolded, reached out to catch the woman and lifted her up.

Naturally, the guests shook their heads when they saw this. However, no one dared to go forward to dissuade the man from being fierce and fierce. Fares snorted, obviously not used to the other party's actions. The man suddenly threw the woman out, unbiased, and landed at the table of Fares and the others. The woman fell on the table and knocked over the wine glass, causing the fragrance of the wine to overflow. Fares couldn't bear to watch this. When Rick helped the woman up, Fares walked straight to the man.

Rick was afraid that he would cause trouble for Alan if he made things big. He hurriedly asked Regis to support the woman while he chased after her.

Fares stood in front of the man and said angrily, "You're going too far, fighting a woman!"

The man narrowed his eyes. "What, you want to stand up for that bitch? Do you know who I am? Your accent doesn't sound like Morse Albany's. I advise you not to meddle."

He reached out and patted Fares on the cheek.

Fares raised his hand and pushed him away. When the man was angry, everyone at his table stood up. Rick rushed over and stopped Fares and the others. He winked at Fares, then let out an aura and said to the people elsewhere, "We are indeed not local, and we do not want to cause trouble. That does not mean that we are afraid of trouble, so it is best for us to stop here tonight. Otherwise, you may not be able to take advantage of us."

Those people probably felt that Rick and Rick weren't easy to mess with, so they exchanged glances. The man in the lead snorted and said, "You guys are lucky."

Rick turned around and shrugged. Originally, he thought that this matter would end here, but he saw Fares' expression change, and then he noticed that someone was pouncing on him. Rick couldn't help but be slightly enraged and wanted to teach these ignorant fellows a lesson. When the sneak attack hit him, Rick immediately released his Origin Energy and was about to shake him off. Unexpectedly, a burst of Yin Qi exploded from his waist and ribs, breaking through all of his Origin Energy, and following that, something ice-cold pierced into his body.

Rick's expression finally changed.

This change happened in the blink of an eye. Fares originally didn't plan to make a move. With Rick's strength, it was more than enough to teach these local snakes a lesson. However, when he saw Rick's expression suddenly change, he saw that the person who had ambushed Rick's aura had increased dramatically, and his strength was no weaker than Rick's. Suddenly, a shadow flashed across Rick's heart. Rick was thrown over. Farez's eyes were burning as blood sprayed out from Rick's waist. Just as he reached out to catch Rick, he saw Rick's chest bulge up, and then a hand in an iron glove came out of Rick's chest and grabbed him for Fares' chest.

Rick roared and pushed Fares away with all his might. He then slid a dagger out of his sleeve and stabbed it backwards. The man behind him stepped back and pulled his hand out of Rick's body. Rick's entire body trembled as he felt cold wind pouring into his body. The man used the short blade in his hand to move in and out of Rick's abdomen and chest, then grabbed Rick's neck with his iron-gloved hand and threw him out.

When Rick fell to the ground, he lowered his head unnaturally. Apparently, his neck had been broken. Fares let out an earth-shattering scream, his Qi surging wildly, and his Origin Energy unleashed. He didn't have his usual spear in his hand, so he threw a punch at the murderer.

At the same time, the woman in Regis's arms suddenly burst into an imposing aura. Regis' mind was on Fares' side, especially Rick's tragic death, which made him unable to react. Right at this moment, the woman exploded and slashed her palm at Regis' neck. The youth's eyes immediately darkened and he fainted.

The woman ignored Regis and turned to Adele with a sinister smile!
