Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 1135

Chapter 1135: Exploration

Time passed in the world of consciousness.

Alan had already forgotten how long he had been walking towards the end of the earth. All he knew was that the sun above his head had never set before. This world was like an eternal world of extreme day and night without a trace. Fortunately, Alan didn't feel tired in this state. Every time he breathed, a massive amount of fire Origin Energy would enter his body to replenish his energy consumption.

The scenery of the earth was very monotonous, occasionally a mountain was decorated with poisonous fissures and bubbling lava pools. This was a space that was hard for ordinary life to exist in, but it was as familiar and natural to Alan as it was to him. Alan didn't find it difficult to walk in this world.

A beast tide like the previous one never appeared again. Only a few Fire Rock exotic beasts would occasionally emerge from a crack or fire pool. This was the name Allen had given them. They all looked the same, like beasts with rock skin and flames and magma in their bodies. At least, Alan hadn't seen any other creatures. Alan was already familiar with dealing with these Fire Rock Beasts. He could easily slash through the surface textures of these Fire Rock Beasts with his flame saber. With a simple slash, he could turn them into a few charred black stones.

Therefore, his journey was smooth, except for a bit boring.

It was as if the end of the world would never be reached. The giant figure that faintly appeared in the distance was like a mirage, as if it was testing Alan's patience. The earth continued to extend forward. After countless days, the landscape finally changed. The flat ground gradually rose and fell. At the beginning, the difference was only a few dozen centimeters, at most two to three meters. However, the difference between the ground and the ground was as low as ten meters. As a result, the mountains and valleys replaced the plains. Alan could no longer see the horizon in the distance at a glance.

Changes are always welcome.

Alan leapt into a valley with some excitement. The valley was littered with rocks. There were places where there was no road at all and he could only scramble past. As Alan flipped through a pile of rocks, a strange creature appeared in his eyes. It wasn't the Fire Rock Beast, but something else. It was different from the rock-like appearance of the Fire Rock Beast. This creature had scarlet skin, and it looked a little like a human baby. He sat plump on the ground. His round face had two dark gemstone-like oval eyes. There was no nose, only two nostrils. His mouth was split to the sides of his head. Therefore, when he opened his mouth, he could easily swallow a fist-sized stone.

That's right, this creature is devouring the stones on the ground, as if it's a rare delicacy. But when it also found Alan, it spat out half of the stone it had eaten, and saliva glowed from the stone. The liquid was so corrosive that the stones burned so loudly that green smoke rose up. The creature that looked like a giant baby let out a scream, and with a snort behind it, it spread out two tattered bat wings. However, it was these two wings that caused it to float up in the air under the flapping of their wings.

It flew towards Allen excitedly and opened its mouth. Fire flashed in its mouth, showing that it treated Allen as fresh food.

Alan spread out his palm, and a stream of fire sprayed out from his palm, forming a flame blade. Holding the flame saber in his hand, he instantly crossed paths with this strange creature. A flame appeared in the middle of the giant infant monster's head. Then, its body split into two pieces and fell to the ground. What sprayed out of its corpse wasn't blood, but large clumps of fire origin power. Ellen was slightly surprised. He opened his mouth and sucked in the Origin Energy.

The previous consumption had been partially replenished. The Origin Energy that this Nascent Soul creature released after its death was much richer and of much better quality than what Allen had absorbed from space alone. He had just finished absorbing this ball of Origin Energy when he heard the sound of wings flapping loudly. A large number of giant infants flew out from the cracks and caves in the valley. Because they had good fire origin power in their bodies, Allen decided to call them Fire Boys.

The Fire Boy chirped and screamed, as if he was communicating. They were numerous and looked like a cloud of fire from afar. The fire cloud was moving towards Allen when another sound came from the flapping of wings in the sky. Ding ding ding dang, like chains brushing across the ground. The Fire Boy suddenly retreated a little. Alan saw a cave in front of him lit up with flames. A wild beast's roar sounded and a figure emerged from it.

It was another exotic beast that Alan had never seen before. It had scarlet skin like a fire boy, no hair, and its head was like a lion. However, it had a pair of buffalo horns on its head. Its forelimbs were a pair of strong humanoid arms, and its wrists were clasped with iron rings. The iron rings were dragged along with half of the chains, and it looked like a wild beast that had escaped from some kind of shackles. However, its hind legs were two oxen-like legs, with hooves that looked like cows. When these two pairs of hooves stepped on the ground, they would always burst into flames.

On the beast's head, between the two horns, a ball of orange flames sprayed out. When it looked at Allen, the beast roared and spat out flames from its eyes and mouth.

Fire Horned Demon, Alan immediately thought of this name when he saw it. This kind of creature was much more powerful than the Fire Boy in appearance alone, but in fact, the Fire Boy in midair was also a little afraid of it. There was more than one Fire Horned Demon. A moment later, another twenty or so exotic beasts emerged from several nearby caves one after another. These Fire Horned Demons were also uneasy and kind to the Fire Boys. Some of them flew too low, and the Fire Horned Demons would jump up and pounce on them, then bite and devour them, savagely devouring those unlucky fellows. josei

However, after a few pouncings, the Fire Horned Demon was obviously more interested in Alan than the Fire Boy. One of the exceptionally strong Fire Horned Beasts roared into the sky. Then there were a few short cries, as if they were urging something, and Alan saw the fire children flying towards him in groups.

It was an unexpected discovery.

In this world's food chain, the Fire Boy was clearly under the Fire Horned Demon. The Fire Horned Demon could order them, which meant that the superior creature had control over the inferior creature? However, there was no time for Alan to think about this. The Fire Boy had already pounced over, and the twenty or so Fire Horned Demons on the ground had also attacked together.

The entire valley shook.

Ellen shrugged and squatted slightly. Another flame blade took shape from his left palm. Holding two blades in his hand, Alan flashed into the beast army. The red cloud formed by the Fire Boy immediately wrapped around him. With Alan as the center, the red cloud began to spin like a red tornado!

Flames burst out from the tornado from time to time. Every time the flames lit up, a fire child would explode and die. These Fire Boys at the bottom of the food chain weren't much stronger than the Fire Rock Beasts. Alan killed them like an adult against an unarmed baby. Their only function was to provide cover for the Fire Horned Demon.

The slaughter lasted for nearly three hours. During this process, Allen's Origin Energy continued to be depleted, but it was replenished from the Origin Energy gushed out from the dead Fire Boy. Thus, when the last Fire Horned Demon died at Ellen's hands, Ellen's Origin Energy was still at 70% of its original strength. The remaining Fire Boys retreated. They panicked and left Allen. Only now did the Fire Boys know that Allen, who was used as food by them, was actually a higher level existence than the Fire Horned Demon.

There had never been a world like this where the law of the universe, the law of the strong preying on the weak, was interpreted to the extreme. The lower echelons did not dare to resist the higher echelons, as if it were the iron rules of this world. This was Allen's conclusion after killing more than twenty Fire Horned Demons and Fire Boys all over the ground. However, Ellen didn't care about this. The dead Fire Boy gushed out a large amount of Origin Energy. They were simply like living potions. No wonder they became the food of the upper life in this world. At this moment, a large amount of Origin Energy floated in the air. Alan took a deep breath and the Origin Energy turned into flames. The entire valley turned into a sea of fire.

In the middle of the sea of flames was Alan. The fire continued to flow into his nose and mouth. The Origin Energy Alan consumed instantly recovered and was still growing. Allen's body also began to change. His rock skin shone red, and hot smoke continuously emitted from every crack. The flames of the entire valley swirled around Alan, as if they were cheering and singing. When they were all absorbed into Alan's body, the hot smoke in the valley billowed.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light in the grey smoke. Then, the pillar of fire soared into the sky, and a burning and violent aura filled the entire valley, causing the fire children who had escaped the calamity to tremble. It was because from that aura, they could smell the aura of the higher-ups, and they were the kings of the higher-ups, even if the kings' aura was still very weak.

Hot smoke billowed and gradually dispersed. Alan gasped for breath and stretched out his hand in front of him. The rock-like skin from before had already peeled off, replaced by dark red skin like the Fire Child's. At this moment, Allen's body looked very similar to a human's. He had a strong body and slender limbs. Apart from his dark red skin and a few orange-yellow lines, he was no different from the original him.

However, there were still layers of rock covering his chest and shoulders. They were like Ellen's armor, protecting his newborn body. Alan had no hair, and his bald head looked a little ridiculous. However, when he straightened his body, he spat out raging flames from above his forehead like a fire horn demon, like a head of long, fiery red hair. Alan's eyes moved, and the color of the flames suddenly changed from red to white. Blue flames sprayed out, just like his original hair color.

He smiled and was about to continue exploring the deeper world when suddenly things kept going away, so he knew that he was being pulled out of the depths of his consciousness. When he regained his senses, he saw a dim brazier and a stone room illuminated by the flames. He sat there for half a minute before his memories were reconnected. At this moment, he was in Tallinn Aisha's stratum. After leaving Oliska, he, Julian, and the others headed south. Along the way, Elizabeth arranged for a guide to meet them before they passed through Dragon Spear Town. After the townsfolk agreed, the town blacksmiths joined the team and followed Alan to Tallinn Aisha.

They were about to leave the Northern Territory. Originally, Tallinn Aisha's Cold Crystal Ore Vein could not be mined as planned, but the dozens of Steel Sharp Warriors hidden in Dungeon had to be taken away. They would be an important force. Neither Alan nor Lucy wanted to leave them in Dungeon for nothing.

However, in retrospect, all of this seemed to Allen like another life. He shook his head and habitually observed his physical condition.
