Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 372

Chapter 372: Cleaning (1)

"Hurry up, you bastards. Didn't you eat? Hurry up and work. We have to leave before dark. We still have a lot of things to take with us."

"Bastard, be careful of those explosives. Do you want to blow me up?"

"Lucky, bring those things. That's right, the box under your feet."

A strong man over a hundred and a half years old roared like a lion, his voice echoing through the dirt houses. The air was so hot that even the bare men's bodies were shining with grease, but no one dared to stop. The moment they stopped, a pair of beast-like gazes landed on them.

The strong man was almost legendary in the Blood Rock Wilderness, and Dick's father's name had been around for at least ten years. People living in this area could even use Dick's name to scare crying kids.

But now, this legend had begun to decline. Nothing is eternal, and Dick is no exception. The wheels of the times rolled forward, and after Storm City's owner was no longer Maud, Dick's time passed.

Even Dick realized this.

Dick was no longer young. He used to have a six-pack stomach, but now he had layers of extra flesh. His rough face had a gray beard and dense black hair on his exposed chest. The red shirt was more than half open, and the corners of the shirt were tied into a leather belt. The flaxen loose trousers were tied into the tan boots, and the iron covering the toes shone brightly in the sun.

However, Dick's heart was not bright at all.

Mo De had crossed over, and even his clan had been uprooted. The new city lord acted ruthlessly. Dick knew that the other party definitely couldn't accommodate people like him, so it was time to leave the Blood Rock Heights. Fortunately, he had already set up with the people from the Black Iron Castle before this. Sir Sharon offered him asylum on condition that Dick joined the Black Iron Castle. His Lordship would leave him a place in the army, and one of his daughters would be Maud's wife. Sharon's daughter was not spared when the Maud family was shot.

Dick knew that it wouldn't be long before the Black Iron Castle army headed towards Storm City. He was definitely one of them.

Used to living a free life in the Bloodrock Wilderness, Dick knew very well that being a dog would not be easy. But now, the situation was not up to him to choose. After a fierce confrontation, they were finally cleaned up like garbage from the bloodstone wasteland. And sacrificing some dignity for a chance to survive, Dick didn't need to think too much about it, so he made his own choice.

Just the thought that more than half of his years' savings would fall into Sir Sharon's pocket made Dick's heart ache. So he roared even louder, almost taking out his long whip to whip these clumsy subordinates so that they could move faster.

Just as Dick was about to move his lair, an army was heading in this direction.

Alan raised his head. The sunlight on the Blood Rock Wasteland was exceptionally bright and dazzling, making the wasteland look like a hot metal plate. Hot air continued to rise from the ground, distorting everything in the distance like water vapor. He looked back and gestured for the team to move forward.

The information Roger gave him was very comprehensive, including the location of Dick's lair, the number of bandits and the number of people to pay attention to. Dick's bandits had been hiding in the mountains of the Bloodstone Wasteland, which had a natural lake behind it. But in a year, only spring and autumn are more abundant. In the other two seasons, the water was scarce. Especially in winter, the surface of the lake is often frozen. Clearly, it is not a good idea to cut ice to melt water. So in winter, Dick buys water from Storm City.

Dick's stronghold consisted of around three hundred bandits all year round and three captains below him. One of the two captains, Hank, had been wrecked by Alan. The remaining two captains were Jed the Salamander and Banley the Clown. They could be called Dick's right hand men, and they were superior to Hank in terms of force and function. josei

As for Dick himself, he was a Level 17 Knight who used the giant axe, Barbaric Decapitator. It was a horrifying killing weapon with an axe face that was almost like a round table. Of course, only a knight like Dick, who was inclined towards strength, could swing it.

All sorts of information flowed through Allen's heart like a stream of water. He had already prepared everything for this operation.

It was already three o'clock in the afternoon. Although the temperature was no longer the highest in a day, it was still sultry and uncomfortable inside the checkpoint. A man on guard simply took off his jacket, which was soaked in sweat and could even be torn off. He scanned the mountains in front of him as usual and was about to hide in the shade of the sentry post when he saw a knight at the end of his line of sight.

More and more knights gradually appeared on the mountain path leading to the stronghold. Behind the knights, there were large groups of soldiers walking. The man was shocked and was about to ring the alarm bell. When he turned around, a ghost-like figure crashed into his eyes. Then, his throat turned cold. He hurriedly touched it and discovered that boiling hot blood was flowing out continuously.

The strength in his body disappeared with the gush of blood. In the end, he turned into a corpse on the ground.

Sentinels like this were being pulled out one by one by the dark blades, and when Belmore signaled, Allen knew that the time had come to attack.

"Father, everything has been loaded into the carriage." A dark-skinned, plum-red man who dyed his hair very tall reported to Dick. His clothes were also brightly colored, with a large barrel of flame/gun stuck in each side of his waist. Salamander Jed was a good gun-wielder among the bandits.

Dick said "hmm", and a man next to him sat in a chair with his legs crossed. The man with a colorful face put an A on the table and said in a low voice, "Is it really all there? Could it be that something was already in the pocket of a reptile?"

This is Banley, the clown. He has always been at odds with Jed. Jed said angrily, "Damn clown, what nonsense are you talking about? Are you questioning my loyalty to my father?"

"You big reptile's hands and feet are dirty. It's not a day or two. When did not a portion of the goods our brothers bought with their lives fall into your pocket?" The clown's hand trembled and a spade K slid out of his exaggerated fluffy sleeve.

The salamander's hand was already pressed against the short barrel of flame/gun at its waist, and the dagger's cold light appeared on Banley's sleeve. The atmosphere seemed a little tense. Dick slapped the table and snorted, "Stop arguing, you two bastards. When is it now? Do you still want to fight amongst yourselves? Hurry up and prepare for me. Tomorrow …"

Suddenly, the sound of gunfire came from outside the house. Dick took action and immediately stood up.

Jed loosened his grip on the gun at his waist and said, "I'll go take a look."

As soon as he ran out of the house, he saw a fireball explode at the gate of the stronghold. Within the flames, a human body exploded in mid-air and kept rolling. When it landed on the ground, it was unknown whether it was life or death. Jed's expression was gloomy, and Dick and Ben Lei walked out of the room behind him, their faces greatly changing.

"What's going on!" Dick roared, "Where is the sentry? Where did he die, and he was touched at the door of his house without anyone knowing?"

Jed whistled and shouted, "Brothers, follow me."

The bandits who were loading the goods all picked up their weapons and followed behind Jed towards the gate. Suddenly, there was another explosion. Then, through the waves of fire and thick smoke, a knight drilled through the curtain of fire. The knight was so young, and his silver hair was burning like azure flames. He held a long black saber in his hand and casually chopped down the two bandits who were preparing to meet the enemy.

Then one cavalry after another emerged from the flames. One of the cavalry raised his flag. Jed's pupils shrank, recognizing that it was the symbol of the Knights of Rage.

"What the hell!" He couldn't help but shout.
