Chapter 303 Hold His Arm

That shut Taylor up. A while later, the butler came in with Elias and Yacob. Noticing Amanda, Yacob chastised, “So you’re indeed here. We searched high and low for you. Can you talk it out with us before. you do anything next time?”

Elias coughed. Yacob shut up and moved aside, but he still looked upset. He had been working to the bone just to search for Amanda these last few days.

Amanda gave him an apologetic look.

Taylor couldn’t take it anymore, and he stood up, staring at Elias. “Now tell me how you’ll find my sister. She’s been missing for a whole day.”

Elias sat down on the couch and looked at the worried Taylor. “I have my terms. If I find your sister, you’ll help my son with his bone marrow transplant.”

Taylor’s face fell. He’s making it sound like a transaction.

Amanda froze for a moment, surprised that Elias would bring that up.

Taylor said, “You’re trying to cut a deal? Even now you’re trying to use my sister for your own gain. How heartless can you be, you b”stard?”

“As heartless as you can imagine. I don’t care what it takes as long as I get what I want. Elias shrugged the

comment off.

Taylor gnashed his teeth angrily. He wanted to tear Elias apart, but his sister took priority. “Fine. You find my sister, and I’ll save your son.” He had no choice but to give in. He must find Rosie as soon as possible. If Rosie was actually driven insane, she might commit suicide while they were searching for her. It would be too late for them to do any saving if that were to happen.

Elias sneered and looked at Yacob. “Did you record the entire thing?”

Yacob held up the voice recorder. “Of course, sir.”

Taylor glared at the voice recorder and clenched his fists. He hissed, “You f*cking recorded the conversation? What for?”

“In case you deny everything. You kept my ex-wife hostage in your house for ten days because you wanted her to take care of your sister, but I know what you actually want,” said Elias coolly.

“Then tell me what I actually want, I. Beg. You.” Taylor was getting agitated, and it was all thanks to Elias. He couldn’t believe the man was talking terms when his sister was still missing. He doesn’t care about Rosie, but Rosie is head over heels for him.

“Your sister’s gone missing long enough, but if you want to have a chat, I can do that. I’m not in any hurry.” Elias held his wrist up and looked at the time.

Taylor calmed down, but he was still frowning. “We need to find Rosie right now.”

“Not before you sign this agreement. Remember, I’m not forcing you to do anything. Elias looked at Yacob.

Yacob took out an agreement and placed it before Taylor. Taylor picked it up and then he chuckled. “You’re one greedy motherf*cker, Elias. He picked up his pen and signed the

agreement.

He had a feeling Elias and Amanda just sprung a trap on him. He signed a contract with Amanda and did so again with Elias. Guess I’ll have to help the boy one way or another now. “Alright, Now find my sister. With how unstable she is, she’s going to die if she commits suicide again.” Taylor hurled the contract back to Yacob.

Yacob caught the contract. “Of course, Mr. Momsey. Mr. Winters has come up with a plan to find her, and I think your sister isn’t as mad as she looks,” he mocked.

Surprised, Taylor whirled around and looked at Amanda. He had only told her of his suspicion that Rosie. wasn’t mad, so how did Yacob find out?

Amanda noticed the question in his gaze, and she answered calmly. “Yes, I told them about it. You want their help, so they must know more about the case.

“Man. I am stupid. 1 forgot you guys were once married. Even if you’re divorced now, you still have a kid to bind you together. Of course, you two are a team.” Taylor thought he had been too naive. He couldn’t believe he thought Amanda wouldn’t trust Elias that much after the divorce. It was laughable.

Amanda said nothing and turned to look at Elias. Aiden’s fate is in your hands now. There was anticipation in her eyes.

The anticipation was not lost on Elias. Slowly, he said, “The fact that she hid herself so well that no one managed to find her is proof that she is not mad. She doesn’t want to face reality just yet. To be exact, she’s scared of it.” It’s very possible that she heard everything we said last night.

Still, he didn’t expect Rosie to escape reality like this. A bizarre disappearance might sound implausible, but it was a simple matter of Rosie refusing to be found.

Midnight struck, and Elias told the butler to install speakers all around the house, Taylor and Amanda were confused, wondering what he had in mind.

Turn the main switch off.”

“What? How are we supposed to find her without any light?” Taylor was fuming. He’s not trying to buy time, is he?

“Listen to me and turn it off. If you want to find your sister, that is,”

Taylor was speechless, but he held his anger back and looked at the butler, signaling him to do as Elias

said.

The butler was perplexed as well, but he did as he was told and turned the main switch off. Darkness swooped down on the house, robbing everyone of their sight. Amanda was a little scared standing in the dark. She was afraid of the dark.

She retreated a little, but then she found herself leaning against something warm. It felt safe. She caught a whiff of a familiar scent, and she knew who it must be behind her.

Elias leaned down, whispering. “Don’t worry. I’m here. She felt an arm wrapping around her waist, and it dispelled her fear.

In the darkness, Elias said, “Do it.”

“Of course.” Yacob went away and pressed a button on the remote control. The air was starting to be filled with the sounds of an eerie cry. It was sad, sorrowful, and incongruous.

Amanda felt goosebumps all over her body, and she grabbed Elias’ arm tightly.
