Chapter 793: Good Answer
Lyon looked over the door he had just closed with furrowed brows and balled fists. His forehead creased as his jaws clenched. He closed his eyes before he took a deep breath. He leaned his head on the wooden door with a soft thud before letting his breath out.
( I thought I came here with a cheat, something that makes any problems to no problems. Even in another world, I still have some problems I couldn’t solve with a snap of a finger or a chant of magic, fuck ).
Lyon let out a sigh before he turned and walked away with firm fists. ( However, whoever hurt my loved ones, they shall pay, their entire ancestral shall answer! ). Lyon’s eyes flashed a glint of rage before a wisp of wind fluttered his hair the moment he arrived at the garden.
The others were waiting for him. Kesya crossed her arms with her legs spread and a huge grin on her face. Assid already bowed at him and Graham nodded at him. Yoji was at the side of the chariot with his hands behind his back, accompanied by a smirk.
Lyon furrowed his brows. He didn’t see his wife anywhere. She was the main blade that he could depend on, without her, the destination would be difficult.
“Looking for me?”
Lyon raised his brows with a smile before he leered to the side and saw the taller woman past him by and gave him a little smirk. She was clad in a leather cloak that looked ragged, but a keen eye could discern how high the quality was as if they were closer. She wore the hoodie and covered her forehead, only revealing a bit of fringe of her hair.
“That’s a new look,” Lyon crossed his arms and jested.
“We are all going to look like this,” Cecile smiled.
“Huh?” Lyon blinked shallowly before he received a cloak with his face. He grabbed and looked at it before he saw the others also couldn’t catch her throw.
“Why do we need this?” asked Lyon.
“Adventure,” Kesya popped out her head from the cloak, “stuff.”
“Low-key, my master, we used to wear these back in the days.”
“We did?”
“Yes, young master, and you were and still are the best,” Assid said with a serious tone.
“No, he is not the best,” said Cecile before she turned and darted at Lyon. “Both of us, are the best.”
Lyon smiled before he wore the cloak. “Woah, this is surprisingly light.”
“I won’t skimp on these,” Cecile added before she muttered, “Lesson learned.”
“What?” Lyon raised his brows.
“Nothing,” Cecile smiled before she looked at Yoji without a cloak in his hands. “Yoji, I’ve heard what happened.”
“N-No! Please don’t apologize, Empress!” Yoji immediately jumped out before he saw the auburn lady slightly lowered her head. “Ah…”
“If only I have not been oblivious, I would burn that bitch for you.”
“Ah..” Yoji saw the glint of killing intent under her eyes before he closed his and gulped. “I can’t change the past, what’s gone is gone, even if the pain left a scar, it is nothing compared to your graceful words. Empress, your main concern then was the Emperor, lowly me shouldn’t be your concern,” Yoji bowed. “However, Thank you, your majesty!”
Lyon made a weak smile before he turned and saw Lumina and Luna waiting at the side. ( Cecile must have made these two to hold the fort ).
“I’m going again, sorry,” Lyon made a weak smile.
Luna shook her head and took a step forward. “I know you’re an important person and people need you, in fact, I would be deeply disappointed if you have stayed and done nothing and doubt that you’re even you.”
“Hahaha,” Lyon laughed before he was caught off guard by Luna skipping and stealing a kiss on his cheek. “Be back in one piece, okay?”
Lyon raised his brows before his cheeks hinted a red hue as he smiled. “I will.” ( even if you give me a red flag just now ). Then, he darted his glance toward the woman with beautiful jade hair and a dangerous cold-blooded glance.
“Lumina, I…”
“What?” Lumina crossed her arms and raised a bit of her chin.
“Hehe,” Lyon scratched the back of his head as he chuckled. Lumina was a special case that he hardly experienced before. His past still eluded him, but Lumina was not. She knew who he was, and what he was capable of, even in mere words that were through her ears. “I, uh, I have to meet someone and asked her something.”
“It’s Selena right?”
“How did you know? Oh wait, right, of course, you do, both of you do,” Lyon laughed innocently. “I want to ask Selena if she could help me with Karina’s state.”
Luna sighed, “It’s a bit twist of fate that her cultivation base changed overnight.”
“It’s a blessing,” added Cecile.
“Are you sure you want to go see Selena?” asked Lumina. “You know, her blade is not to be mess around with.”
Lyon took a cold breath. He heard some stories about her. However, the woman that he met at the time in Nostria was not as they were describing. He doubt that they were lying and trying to scare him away, but the contrast made him wonder. She first admitted that she was his first wife, he still had not yet uncovered the truth, nor did it even matter at all, second, she was the one that told him to go see her once he reached at least Godhood Realm. ( I have passed that point by two entire realms, like doing sidequests first before over-leveled the damn boss, though, I feel bad for not seeing her sooner ).
“It’s due time,” Lyon nervously nodded.
“She got a twin, did I tell you that before?” added Cecile, “I forgot.”
“You did,” Lyon nodded, “She is crazy.”
“As if I would believe you,” Cecile smirked. “I can see your grin from the back of your head.”
“Hey, I’m not!”
“She is as fast as Empress Selena though,” Kesya added. “I can’t even reach her, though, Emperor’s slick hands got her, hehe~”
Cecile and the two women sighed at the same time.
“Hey!” Lyon frowned.
“Heh,” Cecile smirked. “If only you hold back a little bit, we won’t live such drastic up and down in life.”
“What?”
Graham grunted in disappointment as well.
“Graham?”
“I have to agree with the older sister here, sorry Master, but our adventuring days were, hmm…” Graham closed his eyes and grunted.
( You can’t even say it?! ) Lyon’s eye twitched before he darted toward the two women and sighed. “So that’s why I have to go. From what I’ve heard, she is quite a yandere.”
“What’s a yandere?” asked Luna.
Lyon sighed before he scratched his glabella a bit then said, “She is really, and I mean, really the jealous type.”
“I know,” Lumina answered whilst Luna nodded.
“I promise I will make it worth it for you,” Lyon clasped his hand together and slightly bowed.
“More like worth for you,” Lumina added as she rolled her eyes.
“Hehe,” Lyon chuckled under his bow before he abruptly stopped. “Huh?” he heard footsteps passing his figure before he straighten himself up and looked over to see, “Lumina?”
The dragon lady was unperturbed by Lyon’s confusion and stood against Cecile. She might have horns but the lady in front of her was someone with a godly lithe physique. The latter was not someone that would fear the jaw of a dragon even if she were at a breath distance.
“You’re going?” asked Cecile.
“Do I look like I won’t go?”
“Lumina?” Lyon added.
“I will go too!” Luna suddenly added.
“What?” Lyon started to lose control of the situation. ( What the, what happened to the, ).
“Heh,” Cecile smirked. “She will point her blade at you two. She has the sharpness that could sever your wings.”
“She will have to unsheath it first,” said Lumina before Luna followed up with a nod. “En, En!”
“You’re crazy,” Cecile shook her head, “I already warned you before, that woman is dangerous.”
“Crazy?” Lumina smirked. “None of his women are sane, War Maiden.”
Cecile was taken back by her answer before she puckered up a smile. “Good answer.”
“Eh?” Lyon raised both brows before he saw Cecile giving Lumina another cloak.
“Here is for you,” Cecile said before she lobbed another one at Luna.
“What?” Lyon darted his glance at Luna before finding her already wearing the cloak.
“Let’s go, Lyon,” Cecile called out. “What are you dazing about?”
“I-I thought that this would be a heartwarming scene.”
“Sometimes you don’t make any sense Lyon,” Cecile sighed.
“What? Why is this on me?!” Lyon said before he got up to the chariot. “Off to the Dark Continent! Go! Little Yoji!”
…?
“Yeah, well, sorry Emperor, but you’re going on foot,” Yoji scratch the back of his head.
“What?! Why?!”
“It won’t fit, and also, Empress’s order,” Yoji gave a wry smile before pointing at the others leaving the garden. “They are leaving.”
“But I have four horses!”
“And uh, she is your wife, so…”
Lyon sighed.
