CHAPTER 192
"Andromeda."
Ignoring his words and feelings, Andromeda continued, "I do not need your false pity. If this is your concern, then to hell with it."
She took deep breaths, hoping to calm her mind lest she said worse words of insult to him.
"Father, as my respect for you, let this be the last time you call my line."
"Andromeda you wouldn't dare do that."
"And why would I not? After all, all you want is a way to cut off all ties with me, am I not right?"
Mr Kai Beifang could not say anything, considering she hit the nail on the head very much.
"I am right. You know your daughter would not back down from a fight she knows she did no wrong. And you were hoping to use this as a final threat to me. I withdraw the lawsuit or you disown me."
Her lips tugged upward at the side, revealing a mischievous smirk. She had been his daughter for quite too long to understand him.
"Since that was your aim, I shall help you out. The next time won't be funny. I would forget you and I are related and act accordingly."
"Andromeda look, you got this all wrong."
"Sorry, Mr Kai. I got it right. Do yourself and me a favour. Proceed with the documents to disown me."
Her words came in the form of a shock to him. He had expected that perhaps this time she would readily listen to him but to his surprise, she was as stubborn as a mule.
Just like her mother. Although a lovely pair, when their minds had been fixed on something, nothing else matters.
"I just hope though," her voice broke him out of his trance. "That in the future, you do not try to claim any relationship with me because believe me, I would rise and come back for all those who took from me."
"And…"
She did not wait for his response and ended the call herself.
She was honestly tired of listening to him. The next second her gaze swept through her desk and landed on her sketchbook.
Instantly all the vibes and sensation she got to draw left her body as quickly as it came.
She knew she was mentally stressed and that was one effect of her losing the desire to do anything but work that must be done.
Left with no other choice, she decided to use her second means of relieving stress to get out of this one.
With her phone still in her hands, Andromeda placed a call through to Xie Tian.
As soon as he answered the call, a side smile formed on her lips.
Ever since that night at the club, she did not call him as much and neither had they spoken relating that topic.
One thing she was glad about was that he and Liu Xueyi did not know each other and there was no way he could have found out about her confession.
Little did she know that surprises were bound to happen.
"Hi, Xie Tian."
"Andy…"
****
Ever since that day when they went for the outing, Liu Xiao Xin had not come in contact with Andromeda.
As promised that day, she gave a call but Liu Xueyi informed her Andromeda was still asleep.
Since then, she let her brother focus on work while she got her chance to explore the city with one of his friends as her tour guide.
Honestly, she did not need anyone to take her out but she wished to hang out with friends and she lacked them.
Smiling at her reflection in the mirror, Liu Xiao Xin winked at herself, admiring how beautiful she was, before adding a touch of nude lipstick to her lips.
She took another step back, gently rubbed her lips against each other and smacked them before pulling them into a kiss.
"There, beautiful."
Her eyes glimmered in the mirror before turning to the side and admiring her ensemble.
She wore a pair of black fitted leather pants, and a white sports bra with a black fishnet fitted see-through handless top. Covering her up was a matching black leather jacket and black boots to sum it all up.
She had her hair packed up in a ponytail, leaving them to cascade down her shoulders.
The young lady staring at her in the mirror was a symbol of bold, daring, charming and witchy.
She decided to add the bad girl vibe today to shoo away any girl who would want to latch onto her brother.
Without saying anything, she picked up her chain Prada bag and crossed it over her outfit.
Stepping out of the house, she was greeted by the questioning stare of her mother. As usual, Xiao Xin winked at her before blowing the older woman a kiss with a wave of her hand.
Whenever she did that, her mother knew it meant she did not want her to know where she was going.
And ever since she returned, she had been going out with one of Liu Xueyi's friends on different occasions.
So yet again, she expected such, little did she know that her daughter had other plans.
Considering the last time Liu Xiao Xin mentioned her outing with her brother to her mother, it did not end well. This time, however, she decided to refrain from doing so.
She did not want her mother to take such an opportunity to ship Gao Yuemi again.
Getting to the gate of the Liu Family's compound, Xiao Xin waved at the car that came to pick up and quickly rushed over when it got close enough.
She wasted no time in getting inside and with that, they drove off.
The quicker the better to avoid Mrs. Liu.
"Looking good," Liu Xueyi complimented still fixing his eyes on the road.
For one, he did not wish to go for any outing again after the last one but with Xiao Xin persuading the life out of him, he was left to yield to her request.
Not only that, she ensured all his friends denied him when he asked them to help him take her out. As such, he got tied to the bunny with him.
Her eyes sparkled in sheer delight at his compliment but that was not all. It would take more than that to keep her shut.
"Thanks, bro. How is Andromeda?"
Liu Xueyi shook his head at her abruptness. She was not one to beat around the bush when it came to matters that interested her.
"Fine."
"Is she coming with us today?" Xiao Xin inquired.
"No. You only told me you wanted to try out the racing game."
"Yes."
"By the way," he peeled his gaze away from the road to stare at his sister. However, what Liu Xueyi met was her charming cute smile, leaving him speechless.
"Sigh. You make it hard to scold you."
Liu Xueyi had barely finished up his words when Xiao Xin giggled cutely but no sooner had she done that than she felt his big hand cover her face and push her head back.
"Ouch! Not fair!" Liu Xiao Xin cried out in protest before smacking his big hand away from her head.
"Naughty. You want to ruin my make-up and hair," she complained, pushing her lips into a pout.
"You are the naughty one, blackmailing me into this outing with you."
Rather than feel offended, Lu Xiao Xin smiled proudly at him before sticking out her tongue.
"Tell me, why do you suddenly want to try out the car racing here? Have you done so before?"
The moment he said those words to her, she blinked a smile as she leaned back against the seat and placed her right hand on the door frame, using it to support her head.
Several thoughts ran through her mind and she recalled the time she went out with a friend and met a guy.
To say her love for car racing began simply because of him was an understatement.
His looks, although second to her brother, she could not get rid of the charm that came with him when he alighted from the car he had raced from.
For someone who was so outgoing, she had her breath stolen from that first glance.
Although she did not meet up with him instantly, when they went for drinks after the race, that was when she had the opportunity to speak to him.
They spent time that night chatting over drinks and dinner. That was the first time she had found someone who connected with her so much.
They exchanged numbers and from there she realized he travelled down for a business meeting and did not live there.
Unfortunately for her though, she had expected his time there to be long. But by the very next day, he had boarded a plane and returned back to the country he was based in.
Although they conversed every once in a while, she still missed that night.
Her eyes held an interesting look to it as she pushed back her thoughts and clarified the air for her brother.
"Nah."
"I see. A newfound interest or something?" Liu Xueyi asked, raising his brows at her.
"Yeah. Who knows, I would be superb in it hahaa. But since this would be my first-time riding, I wanted to do so with my brother, which was why I asked for you to come."
"Sure kiddo. I would have as many of your first times as you want me to go through with you and cheer you on."
Her cheeks puffed, pulling back a smile that graced her eyes.
"Thanks."
"Anytime, sis. Anything for Liu's princess and my baby sister."
