Chapter 257 Impartial Ye Yuan
Chapter 257 Impartial Ye Yuan

CHAPTER 257
"Who hurt you?"
All it took for the death to take place was a single word from Andromeda and even if that was hard for her to say, she just needed to point a finger or direct her gaze on the brainless witch that hurt her and hell would descend.
A small smile twinkled in her eyes as she drew in a deep breath and directed her gaze firmly on Gao Yuemi.
"Who had the guts to make you lose your balance?"
The tone he used in dishing out those words, the way and manner in which he spoke and how his upper body broadened, adding to the thundering sound his voice gave off, was enough to make one pee in their pants.
Judging from how Gao Yuemi trembled where she stood, it was obvious all he did with little stress was having its desired effect.
"Her," Andromeda said as she pointed at Gao Yuemi.
Her eyes dimmed a fraction, taking in the sight of the drenched rat who could no longer move her lips at will.
"She did? I see. The effrontery."
Not letting out so much of a scoff, he turned his body so he was fully facing Gao Yuemi and took a step forward.
With each step he took, she felt her heart jumping into her mouth as it thudded wildly in there.
Everything from when she first screamed till this moment had spelt doom for her. At this point, she wished she had taken Liu Xiao Xin's advice and let it go.
Furthermore, she knew personally who this man was. Not only was she Liu's entertainment industry's best actor, but he was also close to Liu Xueyi.
The very person she had her heart set on.
Yes, it was ironic to think she would want to fear Ye Yuan and not Liu Xiao Xin. This was because, unlike Liu Xiao Xin, she had another witness, the famous actor.
Should he say this or that or even lie about it, his fans would surely take his side and make her look bad.
To make matters worse, he helped save Andromeda. If he speaks to Liu Xueyi, there would be no way she would be able to deny this.
If it had been just Liu Xiao Xin, she could make it seem like she was only playing and wanting to drift her and Liu Xueyi apart but that was not the case in this.
The latter had no reason to lie, and at this point, neither did his fans and Xiao Xin.
In the eyes of two or three witnesses, the truth is established.
Slowly she lifted her head when she saw his feet stop moving after taking three steps in her direction and gulped down hard.
"You."
Ye Yuan had barely gotten the words out of his lips when she snapped her head up and attacked him verbally.
"How do you just come and butt into a girl's misunderstanding without understanding anything?" Gao Yuemi voiced out boldly.
Her eyes held a glint of boldness in them but from how she swallowed every now and then, the twitching of her brows, her clenched fists and jaw, plus how tensed her shoulders were, he could tell she was barely holding in.
"Do you just take her word for it and believe all she has to say without listening to my own point of view? What if she wronged me first?" Gao Yuemi questioned.
Yes, she had a point but that would have been to anyone not having a keen idea of who she was and how she acted, or the issue that had occurred between both parties.
Rather than exchanging words with her, his lips held a faint smile as he uttered coldly, "Good."
"Huh?" Her brows drew together as her forehead puckered while she stared in disbelief at him.
Good?
Never would she have thought he would side with her hat way. And just hearing him say good meant that all hope was not lost between her and Andromeda.
If that was the case, she may as well take matters into her hands and ruin Andromeda's goody two-shoe reputation, leaving Ye Yuan with a fake image of her.
Just thinking about how successful her ploy would be, she cleared her throat. A slow smile erased the creases between her brows when it came back to her face.
"I am glad you are not impartial. And since you have chosen not to be blinded by the lies fed by this woman, it is safe to explain to you."
"Sure. I would listen to you both," Ye Yuan informed.
Most of the observers could not tell what exactly he was playing at and neither did Liu Xiao Xin nor Peng Xiaoli.
At best, only Andromeda and Jian Xiaofei could see Gao Yuemi digging her grave further.
Worse she would lie but Andromeda knew this Ye Yuan wasn't a bad judge of character.
Also, before saving her, he must have witnessed the scene where Gao Yuemi held onto her head so tightly and the others tried to break her free.
Pressing her lips into a thin line, she lifted her hand a bit so she could use it to block the blushing.
"Miss…"
"Gao. Gao Yuemi," she quickly introduced.
"Miss," Ye Yuan noted.
He had not asked her for her name prior and the reason he called Miss wasn't because he knew her name or not or needed it.
He felt like addressing her and not speaking to her in a way that would give up his secret.
Also, he did not think at this point she deserved to be called that way, especially by him.
"I do not want to watch you blush but I am demanding the truth from you. Tell me because I do not have all day either."
Gao Yuemi's eyes widened in shock. It felt like the mirage she had formed in her mind was suddenly shattered by his words.
Still, she held her ground and managed not to give her fear away. He could speak for Andromeda now, but when she is done, he won't be able to stand for her.
"Fine. Since you are busy, I won't keep you further. The earlier you realize what kind of woman she is the better for us all and for Liu Xueyi."
"And what business have I with him? He isn't here and I am. Speak please."
"Okay. She bumped into me and hit me and gave me a faint apology. When I asked for a proper one, she began insulting me. She and her minions. That was what led to the fight."
Both Andromeda and Jian Xiaofei arched their brows at her story quizzically.
Did she just give a half-assed lie to distort the truth? Even Liu Xiao Xin could not help but take a step closer and look at Gao Yuemi carefully.
"You said?"
"You heard me."
"Gao Yuemi you…"
"Stop," Ye Yuan held up his palm, cutting Liu Xiao Xin short.
"I am sorry, but I cannot allow her to lie this way," Liu Xiao Xin responded before directing her gaze back at Gao Yuemi.
"Tell the truth now."
"What more can I say but that?" Gao Yuemi said with a shrug. "I told the truth."
"I am glad you did," Ye Yuan chipped in. "Now, let's see what the CCTV footage has to say about the truth."
