CHAPTER 507
Just as Andromeda opened the door, her gaze landed on Chao Meng who lifted her eyes the second she felt a heated gaze on her.
"Oh, and you have lousy secretary service around here, just like in the past," Andromeda uttered loudly, making sure Chao Meng and her father heard, to spite them.
"Andromeda behave," Kai Beifang reprimanded sharply.
A loud scoff escaped Andromeda's lips, taking one last glance at her father. "Then perhaps you should have thought of that when your wife," she emphasized on the last word, "was busy erasing my existence and that of my mother from your company and life."
With that she turned away, slamming the door just as her father called out her name.
"Andromeda!"
She was really done with him.
Her only wish was that her mother had been alive. None of these would have ever happened.
Walking past Chao Meng, she ignored the latter and headed for the elevator.
Chao Meng, who was seated at her desk, widened her eyes in realization.
The second Andromeda was out of sight, Chao Meng retraced her gaze back to Kai Beifang's office.
The name Andromeda rang a big bell in her head. It meant Andromeda was right and she was indeed his daughter.
Just to confirm, she rushed back to her desk and took out her phone.
Entering social media, she searched for the name 'Andromeda Kai' and was immediately greeted with the stunning image of the young lady in her boss' office.
"Oh my God. She's a star," Chao Meng uttered under her breath, her eyes still glued to her phone's screen.
Just then a thought crossed her mind and she hurriedly placed a call to someone. A few heartbeats and a voice rang out from the other end of the phone.
"Hello?"
"Good afternoon, Ma'am. I have a report to make."
"Let's hear it out."
"Ma'am, Andromeda Kai just paid the chairman a visit."
Fang Mei's eyes flew open, her head thudding wildly in her chest as she stood up from where she sat. "You said what?!"
"She just visited…"
"Not that. Who?"
"Andromeda Kai. She claimed to be his daughter," Chao Meng added.
"Dimwit there's no claim. Can't you see their last names? She is his daughter."
"Apologies ma'am."
She ignored her apology. Fang Mei's thoughts were already running wild. "Where is she?"
"She has left."
"Did she see him?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Why didn't you inform me sooner?"
"I did not know ma. I thought she was bluffing and trying to make a way with the Chairman."
"Enough with the excuses. Now I cannot tell what she came for."
Chao Meng fell silent, contemplating whether or not she should tell Fang Mei about what she heard from their yelling.
"This should be the last time such happens. The moment you see her, let me know. I need more intel. How come no one in the company informed me of her arrival? Tsk useless."
Chao Meng bit her lower lip. She hated being treated like trash but having had no good job and getting this through help, she was determined to work as Fang Mei's spy to ensure she got the extra pay.
"My apologies ma'am. But I heard yells from the office. Apparently, the chairman was angry."
The wrinkles on Fang Mei's forehead straightened. Her smile returned. "Is that so?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Good. I will forgive you today. But I won't tolerate a repeat,"
"Noted ma'am."
"Good."

Andromeda left her father's office, her steps echoing determination on the polished floors of the Kai Group headquarters.
She had a firm resolve—she wouldn't let her father control her emotions any longer.
As she approached her sleek new car, a gift from Liu Xueyi, her phone rang. Halting in her steps, she retrieved her phone.
The moment she saw his name on the caller ID, her heart danced with excitement. She swiped to answer it, a smile curving her lips.
"Hey, you," she greeted, her voice laced with an undertone of eagerness and the affection that flowed between them.
On the other end of the line, Liu Xueyi's deep, warm and soothing voice flowed through the phone, filling her ears. "Hey, love. Where are you right now?"
Her sour mood shifted instantly to the sound of his voice, infused with an irresistible sweetness. "I'm just leaving my father's office. What about you?"
Liu Xueyi's reply was filled with a mixture of eagerness and relief. "Good, because I've returned. I just got back from my trip, and I missed you. "
Andromeda's heart leapt with joy, and she could barely contain her elation. "You're back? That's wonderful news."
He chuckled softly. "Indeed, it is. How soon can you come over? I'm at home. I'd love to see you. You're the first person I wanted to meet when I got back."
Andromeda's heart did a little dance of happiness. "I can be there in no time, honey. I've missed you too."
Liu Xueyi licked his lips. He couldn't have been happier listening to those words. "Then hurry love. Or I'll open all of your presents."
"Don't you dare," she joked. "Or no make out for you too."
"Oh, is that a threat?" he teased. "Is my baby threatening me?"
"You can say so."
"Nah. I doubt you'll be able to resist this bundle of handsomeness when you see me."
"Pfft." She burst into laughter at his joke and nodded. "Sure. We'll see about that."
"Hurry then."
"Seems like someone is too eager."
"Of course."
"Okay, catch you soon. Kisses."
"Give them to me in person."
Unable to counter his words, Andromeda licked her lips. He knew just how to be sexy without even trying. And now, she could already imagine some naughty things.
"Shuu." A broad smile graced her face, unseen by anyone. "I'll be there soon."
The sound of his chuckles accompanied her as she ended the call and quickly hopped into her car.
Andromeda's heart fluttered. Her mood had transformed from the sourness of her father's confrontation to a lighter and more joyful one.
Many things had transpired since the unsettling incident that occurred with her fan a week ago.
With Liu Xueyi having had to leave for a few days due to a business meeting with Ye Cheng, Dream Star Corporation's CEO, she had dealt with her debut in the entertainment world and the persistent scrutiny of the public and media as well as father's issues.
There was so much she wanted to share with him, and she couldn't wait to be in his presence again.
With every passing moment, the anticipation of their reunion stirred a potent mix of emotions within her. She was ready to see him, to share her experiences, and most of all, to revel in the affection they had built together.

Seated in her lavish dressing room with pictures of herself in different movies, Fang Qian Qian was attended to by her make-up artist.
The large, well-lit mirror before her was framed with bulbs that gave her a radiant glow. Today, however, her reflection showed anything but happiness.
With her iPhone in hand, she was scrolling through the latest social media trends.
Her face contorted into a disapproving frown, and her once-calm demeanour began to crack, anger bubbling within her. Ignoring the lady carefully applying her makeup, Fang Qian Qian couldn't contain her frustration.
"Andromeda again," she muttered bitterly, her voice dripping with resentment. "She's everywhere, isn't she? Can't I get a break from her?"
The makeup artist working on her didn't dare comment, choosing to focus on her job instead. She knew better than to engage in her boss's tirades against her competitor.
If there was one thing Fang Qian Qian was known for, it was her fiery temper. She was the Queen Bee of the Entertainment World.
No one dared compete with her.
Although there were more beautiful actresses that could match her acting skills, they never got her title, she guarded it tightly—seeing her now, one could tell why.
Any who showed signs always fell before her. However, the title of Empress never fit her. No one could stand as equal as Liu Xueyi.
She was only a queen, not his empress. His fans were pretty jealous while some were supportive.
Making one wonder if she wasn't involved since she couldn't get the spot.
In the entertainment world, Andromeda was a rising star, creating ripples with talks of her talent and, perhaps more importantly, her blossoming relationship with Liu Xueyi, the Emperor of the Entertainment World.
Their enchanting connection had captured the hearts of countless fans. However, not all the chatter surrounding Andromeda was positive.
"Listen to this," Fang Qian Qian spat, clearly perturbed. "She's making a wave in the entertainment world even though audacious fans are raining down rude comments on her posts. It's all over social media."
The makeup artist hesitated but then spoke carefully, "Miss Fang, maybe it's best to ignore it. These things come and go."
But Fang Qian Qian was not so easily swayed. She picked up her phone and made a call to one of her fans, a die-hard supporter who had a reputation for causing trouble in Andromeda's fan base.
"Claire!"
