Chapter 107 : The Horrow of Su Yen Might

Chapter 107 : The Horrow of Su Yen Might

Ahhh!

The wretched, agonizing cry of the Roaring Claw Bear echoed through the Dreadshade Forest, its voice trembling with indescribable pain as the dreadful Deathwrath strike bore down upon it.

The bear felt as though it was ensnared within a realm of death, a morbid aura closing in, from which there was no escape. It attempted to flee this living nightmare, but found it impossible.

It then experienced a searing pain coursing throughout its massive form. Its anguished screams came from the depths of its soul, a lament it had not expressed in thousands of years.

A deep, fatal wound had cleaved through its defenses as if they were nothing but butter. Blood gushed forth like a breached dam, bone and innards spilling out relentlessly.

In excruciating pain, the Roaring Claw Bear staggered backward, its face contorted in a mask of pure dread.

One of its colossal paws desperately pressed against its chest, as if to staunch the flow of blood and innards.

Its vitality plummeted at a breakneck pace, and the specter of death was swiftly closing in.

Just as it fought to halt the torrent of its life's essence, an instinctual alarm blared within the beast's being. Raising its head, the Roaring Claw Bear witnessed the seemingly fragile human, Su Yen, launching another devastating attack.

'I need to get out of here!' The Roaring Claw Bear's thoughts screamed with urgency.

With this realization, it wasted no time and tried to escape. Yet, its grievous wound prevented it from taking flight, and it was left with only the option of fleeing across the forest floor.

The bear raced with all its remaining might, despite underestimating Su Yen's tenacity. It had dared to harm him, and Su Yen would not hesitate to employ his full might to exact revenge.

Thus, the Deathwrath attack was unleashed once more, casting darkness across the forest, a palpable stillness that instilled fear of death in the beasts that walked upon land, swam through water, or soared through the skies.

The Deathwrath strike found its mark on the unguarded back of the rapidly retreating Roaring Claw Bear, sending the beast sprawling.

Ahhhh!

The wretched cry of the bear resounded throughout the forest, sending shivers down the spines of various creatures.

It had been a long time since they had witnessed a grade-3 beast reduced to such a pitiful state.

The assembled beasts regarded Su Yen with fearful gazes. While they had once planned to launch an attack on the human sect, that thought had now been cast aside.

With Su Yen in the vicinity, any such endeavor would prove futile, unless they could rouse many powerful grade-3 beasts from their deep slumber.

As for the Roaring Claw Bear, it crashed into thousands of ancient trees, destroying them and leaving a deep scar on the forest floor.

The bear slid for a thousand meters before managing to halt the inertia of the attack.

Its back bore a deep, gaping wound, with shattered bones and blood gushing forth. It was in a wretched state, crying out in continuous agony.

From the corner of its eye, it caught sight of Su Yen rapidly approaching, and fear etched into its being.

'I need to escape from this demon,' it thought with desperation.

'I cannot withstand another attack...'

'What should I do?'

Then, a glimmer of hope appeared within its eyes as it recalled a taboo skill it had acquired by mistake. Even though it would greatly diminish its cultivation, the bear didn't care as long as it could escape the impending demon.

Without further delay, the Roaring Claw Bear began to transform, taking on its human form.

In this guise, its once-seemly blue robe had been torn to tatters, revealing fearsome injuries on both its front and back.

It gazed upon the fatal wounds with a dreadful expression and shook its head.

"It's now or never," the bear muttered, summoning the taboo skill.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind blew fiercely, lifting the old man into the air, and he soared away, retreating deeper into the heart of the Dreadshade Forest.

Su Yen arrived at the spot where the old man had once stood, his face marred by a sense of disappointment. His gaze rose, scanning the vast distance where the old man had dwindled into a mere dot, and he let out a heavy sigh.

"Don't think this is over," Su Yen muttered, the weight of deep-seated hatred evident in his voice. He surveyed the scene of devastation, a testament to the fierce confrontation that had unfolded. "They had it coming."

With a shake of his head, he discarded his torn and tattered attire, changing into a clean, crisp white robe. His lips moved as if in conversation with himself, and he concluded, "I need to grow stronger quickly. The appearance of a grade-3 beast is just the beginning. It won't be long before I encounter many more."

In the next moment, he vanished from the battlefield, leaving nothing behind but a gust of wind.

After Su Yen's departure, a colossal Ape emerged from the shadows, gazing upon the harrowing battlefield, its back glistening with cold sweat.

"What a fearsome human!" the Ape thought, an utterance that hung in the air like a question.

It could remember when it first encountered Su Yen, he was a weak harmless human that it could kill with a swing of its arm but now, it didn't dare breath in front of him

Meanwhile, at the southern sea, the situation had taken a dire turn for the outlanders.

Ahhhh!

Miserable cries and shrieks reverberated throughout the vicinity, a chorus of pain and suffering.

The young masters and young misses bore ghastly wounds, some having lost limbs, while their guards fared only slightly better.

Zimo, standing amidst the devastation, remained unmoved as he raised his sword.

"Kill."

Hearing these chilling words, Liu Fu, Cheng Hong, and the others contorted their faces with dread.

The realization was stark; they would meet their end unless they took action to halt the brutal advance of Zimo and his men.

Desperation clung to Liu Fu as he bellowed, "If anyone can save me from this predicament, that person can ask me for anything, and I will make sure to fulfill it," hoping to stoke the greed of anyone within earshot.

Unfortunately for him, none stepped forward, their fear of Zimo and his soldiers rendering them motionless.

"What are you doing?" Cheng Hong shouted, her voice strained, her face and chest bearing deep cuts. "Stop them and let us escape."

The injured guards, their expressions grim, forced themselves to rise and confront Zimo and his men.

However, before they could mount any resistance, Zimo's lethal sword strikes cleaved through two guards, splitting them in two. The soldiers launched another round of bloodshed.

Whenever they thrust their spears, they found their mark in the guards, the young masters, or the young misses. As they witnessed the horrors unfold, panic seized Liu Fu.

'I can't die here. I can't.' He cried in his heart.

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Wang Baozhai and the old man retreating from the scene.

"Wang Baozhai!" he screamed, drawing the attention of those around him. "If you can save us, the race for the heiress will be yours. Please, save us!" His plea was laced with desperation, his voice trembling with urgency.
