Chapter 175: The Must have Spirt Comms.
Chapter 175: The Must have Spirt Comms.
It was not something that could be hidden anymore, the power that was built into the Spirit Comms. It became the talk of the town.
Pedestrians who were lucky to buy the Spirit Comms while the Celestial Heavenly store was still empty raised their heads proudly and bragged to their friends.
Many people tried to steal, killed other people for their Spirit Comms, only to realize they couldn't use it. The Spirit Comms were bound to an individual's consciousness.
Realizing the tight security on the Spirit Comms, the nefarious plans of the powerful clans were useless before they even began.
Since they couldn't steal others' Spirit Comms, they chose another strategy. The usually deserted alley of the Cao clan became active with many clan patriarchs trying to use whatever method for the Cao clan to sell to them.
Unfortunately, the entrance to the Cao clan was tightly shut, and those ignorant fools that jumped over the fence didn't know who they were dealing with.
After trying various attempts to reach the Cao clansmen but failed, they realized the Cao didn't give a damn about them.
Even though all the powerful elite clans were furious about their prideful attitude, they left dejectedly.
The only thing they could do now was to join the queue and hope the Spirit Comms would last longer until their turn.
Inside the Celestial Heavenly store, a proud young master of the Fu clan successfully entered the store after waiting for hours. He looked at the serene and beautiful lobby with a slight shock on his face.
He controlled his expression, puffed out his chest, and strode arrogantly toward one of the lines. 'As long as my clan reverse-engineers the ring, we will chase these idiots out of our city.'
When it was finally his turn, he cleared his throat and said, "Give me one thousand."
The girl raised her head, looked at him, and asked, "Young master, you're from which clan?"
Fu Gang responded proudly, "I'm the young master of the Fu clan."
Everyone inside the lobby looked at him with envy. The Fu clan was one of the dominant forces in the inner city, and they expected they would give him some special privilege because of his clan.
Contrary to what everyone was expecting, the lady behind the counter didn't have any change in her expression and said, "Sir, you can only order 100 Spirit Comms, and it would cost you one hundred spirit stones."
"I know. I know. Just take..." His voice trailed before he widened his eyes. "What did you say?!"
"One hundred spirit stones."
"What! Are you not selling it for fifty silver coins?" His voice resounded throughout the first floor, gathering the attention of everyone.
He glared at the lady with veins protruding from his head, "Why am I ten times different from other people?"
"Because you're from the Fu clan," the lady responded calmly.
"You…" Fu Gang pointed at her, his chest rising and falling.
"Sir, are you buying or not? There are still a lot of people behind you."
He was so angry that his head puffed out an invisible smoke. He shouted, "I know what you're trying to do. But you will regret it."
He stormed furiously out of the store. He had wasted a lot of hours trying to get his hands on the Spirit Comms.
But those bastards dare plot against his clan. They would just wait; they would get their hands on the Spirit Comms and reverse engineer it.
Those inside the store looked at the furious Fu clan young master with wide eyes. They thought the store would give the Fu clan some faces, who would have realized they would get back at them.
Simultaneously, other clans that had previously attacked the Cao clan faced the insane prize of the Spirit Comms and were left furious.
Inside the city lord's mansion, three powerful clan patriarchs strode furiously.
In the hall, the city lord looked at the unsightly looks of those before him and sighed.
He knew why these three greedy bastards came to meet him and asked.
"What brings you here?"
"City Lord, we can't allow the continuous rampage of some unknown people to rule us in our city. We must do something about it," Patriarch Xue said.
"Because we put a little pressure on them, how dare they increase the prize of the Spirit Comms," Patriarch Ding's boisterous voice echoed in the room.
"I'm not even concerned about that. We can't allow them to hoard such massive money all alone. We must stop them," Patriarch Wei said in a low voice.
Listening to their rambling, the city lord didn't have any change in expression and asked.
"What do you suggest me to do? Seize their land or product. I can't force them to pay tax again with the current high rate. Do you?"
With the continuous spread of the Spirit Comms, he must look for a solution for his clan before his enemies use it against him.
In the pursuit of peace, was it more virtuous to seek understanding and reconciliation with one's enemies or to overcome them through strength and dominance?
For virtue and peace were out of the question, leaving only strength and dominance.
How would he dominate his new mysterious enemies?
The city lord was already having a headache thinking about all this.
As for the three patriarchs, they failed to notice this and continued hashing various sinister plans against the Celestial Heavenly store.
Watching the back of the three patriarchs, the city lord knitted his brow.
"If their plan worked, that will be for the best, and if not, I need to step in."
The Celestial Heavenly store was busy all
day, and when it was nighttime, they closed the store ready to rest for the day.
Su Yen didn't choose to run the store 24/7 like the barren land. He was not in a rush to spread the Spirit Comms to every citizen of the Baiyun city.
He was going to take it slow.

Right in front of the Celestial Heavenly store, thousands of people lay on the ground to sleep over.
The cool breeze of the night blew in the street, and with some trembling under the descent of the cold.
Still, no one left their spot. This was their hard-earned spot, and if they were to lose it because of some sleep, they would regret it for the rest of their life.
While the front door was filled with people sleeping on the ground, a group of men in black moved swiftly over the nearby building roof.
One of the men opened the window from the back, and they jumped in.
