Chapter 227: Killing the Blood Skull - Part 3

Chapter 227: Killing the Blood Skull - Part 3

The Purple Mist Mountain range got its name from the purple mist hanging in the air. No one knew why the mist was purple.

Many speculations surrounded the Purple Mist Mountain range; the most notable one was that the purple mist came from powerful cultivators during a battle in the mountain range.

However, no one could confirm how true the speculation was, and since the mist was virtually harmless. Though harmless, the purple mist provided a cover for the Blood Skull bandits to hide and escape from the clutch of the government.

With the purple mist in the air, it limited the perception of everyone. Therefore, making it easier for the bandits to hide in plain sight, and when escaping, the mist covered their tracks.

Behind an ordinary mountain, covered in purple mist, a group of people entered. Walking into the purple mist, the group arrived inside a small cave with a narrow tunnel leading downward.

With the purple mist serving as a cover, no one would have expected a cave behind it. Zia and his students were only surprised for a moment before their expressions returned to normal.

The bandit division leaders leading the path looked at each other frequently but no one dared to talk. Each of them was beaten blue-black with some missing an arm.

After walking for ten minutes inside the narrow passage, they began to hear the sound of laughter and muffled groans.

"Who goes there?" A voice came from the distance.

"Get out of our way?" One of the bandit division leaders snapped.

Even though they were still a couple of meters from the voice, the voice didn't speak any longer. Shortly, they arrived at the location of the voice and saw two bandits guarding the entrance.

"Division leader?" One of the guards called.

"Where is the leader?" One of the Division leaders asked.

"In his quarters." He responded with shock evident in his voice.

This was the first time he saw all the division leaders gathering together without the call from the main boss. Moreover, everyone of them had swollen face, covered in blood.

The two guards looked at each other and realized things were not as simple as they thought and wanted to report to the boss. However, it was too late.

Two of the Division attacked the guards at the same time, catching them off guard.

Bang! Bang!

The guards crashed against the wall, their bones breaking to pieces. Before they could process what was going on, another attack hit their heads.

Crack!

The skull shattered to pieces and all their brain juices splashed to the ground. Looking at the ruthless action of the two division leaders, all the Division leaders looked at Zimo and his students hoping to see a change in their expression.

Alas, they were disappointed.

Zimo didn't even bat an eye at their ruthless action and only commanded. "Lead the way."

A deep sigh escaped from the two division leaders as they led the way into their main hideout. Coming out of the passage, they appeared at a wide-open area.

The open space was as big as a football stadium and the edge was small cave-like rooms. At the center were cages and carriages. Inside the cages were people, mostly women and young girls.

Apart from that, there were many people chained to the wall. Some were old with deep scars of beatings on their bodies.

Most of them had lifeless expressions on their faces. They had been abused and lost the semblance of a normal human being.

Looking at everything, the bandits division leaders had an unsightly expression on their faces.

They wanted to scream and berate the bandits that were still abusing the women chained to the wall.

Cao Liu gritted her teeth in anger. She wanted nothing but to rush out and kill all those scum.

How could they treat a fellow human like this? They were even treated worse than animals.

Looking at their hollow eyes, she saw nothing but despair and surrender.

They have given up on life.

Even though they saw new people, they didn't have any change in their expression.

Zimo looked at everything and his blood boiled in anger.

"Kill them but make it as painful as possible." His voice was eerily cold.

The bandits only continued their ploy, enjoying and shouting at each other with a jar of wine at hand.

It was not like they didn't see the new arrival. When they realized they were one of them, they ignored them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The resounding of skulls crushed into paste echoed in the opening, getting the attention of everyone.

For a couple of seconds, the bandits were stunned. Who are these people and why would they attack them?

Didn't they come along with their division leader?

Still, they recovered quickly and sprung to action.

"We're under attack!" A voice shouted.

"Kill them."

"Capture the girls."

Under the destructive attack of the thin young man, the bandits still had the thought of capturing the only two women in the group.

Their twisted thought could be seen from their gaze. Their gaze had turned into a lecherous dog.

Perhaps, they'd indulge in their sexual canal that they didn't realize the powerful aura coming out of the four.

Their bodies were reeking of the Peak of Qi Refinement realm while the bandits were only in the body building realm.

Ah! Ah! Ah!

"Please!!!!"

"Help…me!"

Bang!

"My Hand!"

"P-Please…don't"

In a blink of seconds, the open space was filled with miserable screams as the thin young man, Cao Liu, and the couple unleashed their wrath.

Instead of killing them in one attack, they reduced lethality of their attack, inflicting a severed injury on the bandits.

They crushed their hands and legs, shattered their ribs and left them in their pool of blood, to die slowly.

Watching the mangled skin and crushed bones scattered to the ground, and the agony of the bandits.

The bandits division leaders fell on their knees. Their faces were pale as if they had seen a ghost.

They realized how ruthless these four were. Previously, they thought they had seen the worst but now, they knew they were wrong.

From a bigger cave, a giant middle-aged man came out with an ax. His face was grimed with anger.

His top was bare with a deep scar that went from his neck, down to his waist.

He was the boss of the Blood Skull Bandits.

"D-Die…." He shouted and swung his ax.

Suddenly, his expression turned unsightly when he realized the aura coming out of the four young people.

It was the peak of Qi Refinement realm while he was only in the early refinement realm.

His face contorted into dread and he tried to retract his attack but it was too late.

The thin young man turned and looked at the bandit leader and swung his heavy broadsword in an arc.

Bang!

The heavy broadsword and the ax collided and a bright spark appeared.

The space shook vehemently and a spider web cracked on the ground.

Out of the bright spark, a silhouette flew out and crashed against the wall.

He groaned and his face whitened. A mouthful of blood gushed out of his mouth. His right arm was mangled, twisted in an impossible angle.

All the flesh on his right had torn off, showing his ligaments and bones.

In just one attack, the Bandits Boss's right hand was useless.

The thin young man didn't even flinch from the attack and swung his sword one mortal.

"P-P-leases…" cried the Bandit Boss as he watched the heavy broadsword whistling toward his chest.

He wanted to stand up and evade the attack, but his injury was too severe.

Bang!

AHHHH!

The heavy sword crushed through the body of the Bandits Boss, turning his intestines into paste before severing his waist from his body.

The Bandits Boss screamed in agony with tears dripping from his eyes.

Every fiber of his nerves was in pain. Looking at the severed waist, he was drowned in despair.

In a couple of seconds, he was covered in the pool of his blood. Slowly, his breathing got slower and his thinking got cloudy.

However, he thought that was the end. He was once again wrong.

Bang!

Crack!

Thin young man's broadsword hit the Bandit Boss, turning all of him into meat paste that splashed out of his skull.

Some of the brain juice splashed to the face of the thin young man, but he didn't seem to care.

Covered in brain juice, the thin young man turned and looked at the open space for any threat but found none.

All the bandits had been killed. Their death was no less gruesome than the death of the Bandits Boss.

The infamous Blood Skull Bandits had been reduced to chaos, covered in blood.

As for the bandits division leaders, they were on their knees, begging Zimo, making various promises.

Zimo looked at the nine division bandits leaders and smiled. However, to those division leaders, this was no smile.

Before they could plead more for their lives, a powerful pressure descended on their bodies.

Boom!

At once, all the nine disappeared from their spot and were replaced with mangled meats with broken bones.

Zimo's expression from the beginning to end. The death of the division leader was nothing to him, and he commanded.

"Set the hostages free; we need to move to our next target."
