Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 230: The Wrath of the Celestial Heavenly Sect - Part 1

Chapter 230: The Wrath of the Celestial Heavenly Sect - Part 1

Qianlong City.

Inside the main hall of the Qianlong City Lord Mansion, all the ten neighboring city lords gathered with bright smiles on their faces.

"With our plan, Baiyun City won't be standing by the end of the month," Lingtian City Lord said with a relieved smile on his face.

His city was the closest to Baiyun City, and the Celestial Heavenly Store had already begun construction in his city.

Previously, he was helpless, but now, with all the nine other city lords supporting him, he was confident they could take down the hidden expert and destroy the Celestial Heavenly Store.

"What do you expect?" a portly man responded with a light chuckle. "With the Death Shadow and Crimson Jade Pavilion supporting us, how could such a small city stop us?"

"Right, right," Lingtian City Lord soothed his nodding happily. "Apart from that, the Prefecture Lord is also supporting us."

Qianlong City Lord sat at the main seat and observed the city lords smiling and discussing happily with each other. It had been over four decades since they held this kind of gathering.

They only gathered during the Hidden Dragon tournament in the Prefecture Lord Mansion, and it was only the Prefecture Lord being the man of the hour. But now, they were together with one common goal.

To kill the hidden expert, loot all his resources, and perhaps get their hands on the secret of making the Spirit Comms.

Many of them had tried the Spirit Comms, and the novelty of the ring left them speechless.

However, they couldn't continue using the Spirit Comms since they needed to register after a week of usage. And that's where their hatred for the hidden expert came from.

Who was he to demand them to register before using the Spirit Comms?

Apart from that, the thought of paying weekly to talk with their friends and families left a bitter taste in their mouths. Also, they needed to pay again to use You Connect.

With all this, how could they not be enemies of the Celestial Heavenly Store?

Even a fool could realize how much money the Celestial Heavenly Store would be making weekly with such a feature.

And where did the Celestial Heavenly Store come from? The Barren Land.

A forgotten land used to house the most ruthless criminals and the trash of the empire. How dare they demand money from them.

Therefore, without the destruction of the Celestial Heavenly Store, they won't rest and stop their attack.

....

Baiyun City.

Biyu entered the brothel without any expression on her face. She fixed her gaze in a particular direction and walked with large strides.

Many of the courtesans looked at her with a dreadful expression on their faces. Whenever she passed by them, their breath was taken away.

The oppressive force left them falling to their knees, and in a couple of seconds, the bustling brothel became quiet like a graveyard.

After walking for a couple of minutes, she arrived at the heart of the brothel.

Standing in front of an 8-story building, the guards guarding the entrance were pale like sheets. None of them could raise their heads and look at her face.

Slowly, she entered the building.

On the highest floor of the building, a middle-aged woman with heavy makeup sat calmly, sipping her tea. Beside her teacup was a sharp dagger, gleaming under the light.

Tasting the last drop of the mind-calming tea, she turned and looked out of the window. She sighed and shook her head.

'If I knew the store was this fearsome... If I was given ten lives, I wouldn't have dared it,' she thought with deep sorrow flashing through her face.

She gave a bitter laugh, took the dagger on the table, and slit her throat.

Thud!

She fell back into her seat, blood spilling out from her neck.

Just then, the door to the room creaked opened, and Biyu entered. She looked at the dead woman for a couple of seconds before departing.

At the back of the brothel, in a secluded courtyard, a group of men dressed in black robes had pensive expressions on their faces.

"Do you know what is going on?" one of them asked out loud.

The brothel was their hideout for decades, but this was the first time they felt such an oppressive atmosphere. It felt like the sky was about to collapse on their heads.

Apart from that, the brothel was deadly quiet, and they could hear the sound of rustling leaves. Even during the time of war, the brothel was never a quiet place, not until now.

As the assassins were trying to find out what was happening, the door to the courtyard creaked open.

Instantly, the assassins gripped their weapons tightly, with their hearts pounding heavily against their chests.

Slowly, a lone woman entered calmly into the courtyard. They were stunned for a couple of seconds and exchanged subtle glances.

Who is this woman? They asked in their minds.

Just as the leader of the assassins prepared to open his mouth, she moved.

Whoosh!

The assassin's leader's head flew into the sky, his mouth still in the process of opening.

Thud!

His headless corpse fell to the ground with blood splashing out from his neck.

However, the assassins didn't even have time to care about their leader, as the woman had already slit three assassins' necks. Their heads rolled off their necks.

Shit!

The assassins woke up from their stupor and tried to escape with their movement skills. Unfortunately, the moment she entered the courtyard, their fate had been decided.

After 30 seconds, all the assassins had their heads separated from their necks, and the woman, by then, had long gone.

In another part of the outer city, a young man approached the gate of a wealthy merchant clan.

By the entrance were 20 guards with solemn expressions on their faces.

When they saw the young man walking toward them with a prideful gait, they tensed up and tried to put on a strong facade.

"Stop there! This is private property," said the guard captain.

Whoosh!

An extremely fast dart flew out of the hand of the incoming young man and pinned the guard captain to the wall.

Blood flowed out from his mouth like a broken dam, and he choked. His face whitened, blood draining from his face before he stopped moving. Deader than dead.

When the guards saw what just happened, they widened their eyes. Their faces contorted into fear and panic. This is bad! They screamed in their minds.

"Run!" One of them screamed.

There was only one power in the city that could have such an insanely powerful youngster, and that was the Celestial Heavenly Store.

The young man shook his head, unsheathed his sword, and disappeared from his spot.

Whoosh!

Ah!

"M-My…H-and…"

Bang!

The guard could barely finish his sentence when a powerful sword strike sliced him into two.

"P-Please…." Another guard fell on his knee and pleaded for his life. It was no secret that anyone from the Celestial Heavenly Store was a monster that couldn't be defeated.

The young man didn't bat an eye and swung his sword in an arc.

Thud!

The guard held his neck with fear and unwillingness on his face.

A guttural sound came from his mouth, covered in blood, before he fell to the ground, and his head rolled off from his neck.

The young man only took a moment before he killed all the guards before marching into the mansion.

In the main building of the mansion, a fat man covered in sweat looked at the gate with regret etched on his face.

He only harbored the assassin, but who would have guessed the Celestial Heavenly Store would still locate them in his mansion.

"I guess they are right." A bitter smile appeared on his face. "I will die because of my greed."

He looked at his families and said with a regretful smile, "I'm sorry. I brought this on you. In my next life, I won't be greedy for money."

All his wives had tears on their faces, their faces etched in despair. Across the wives were their children.

Everyone of them was crying loudly; they didn't want to die but knew there was nothing they could do about it.

"Let's drink it together." He had already accepted his fate.

Whoosh!

He took the cup in front of him and drank the poison in one swift motion. He looked at his wives and children for the last time and flashed them his best smile.

Huh!

He gasped for air and fell to the ground, wriggling in pain for a couple of seconds before he stopped moving. Dead.

His wives looked at his corpse and wailed loudly. The first wife took the lead and followed after her husband.

Slowly, they began to follow after each other. A minute later, the hall was silent like a graveyard.

Perhaps, it had become a graveyard.

Greed, a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.
