Chapter 52 : Battle with the Desert Sand Men.

Chapter 52 : Battle with the Desert Sand Men.

Su Yen and Huang Yin rode with fierce determination, their horses' powerful hooves pounding the earth as they thundered across the rugged terrain.

The wind whipped through their hair and clothes, carrying the scent of uncertainty.

Their steeds were like swift, untamed spirits, galloping at breathtaking speed toward the desolate, northern barren land.

Su Yen's eyes, filled with unwavering resolve, scanned the horizon ahead, searching for clues of the Desert Sand Men.

His grip on the reins was firm, and his posture exuded confidence as he guided his horse through the challenging terrain.

With each stride, they closed the distance to their destination.

Beside him, Huang Yin rode alongside with a vision of determination.

Her eyes mirrored his resolve as she leaned forward in the saddle, her hands expertly controlling her spirited mount.

Her long hair streamed behind her, catching the golden rays of the setting sun, giving her an almost ethereal quality against the harsh backdrop of the barren land.

After traveling for another couple of miles, the couple heard the sound of an ongoing deadly battle in the distance, and their expressions turned solemn.

Without uttering a word, they urged their horses forward to speed up quickly.

On the Xianren Town wall, thousands of Metal Bone Armor soldiers were fighting vehemently with hundreds of thousands of Desert Sand Men.

Outside the town wall, another group of soldiers with the Bronze Metal Armor were fighting seriously, sweats dripping from their foreheads, their armors tainted with dry blood.

Some had deep ghastly injuries on their bodies, but no one stopped fighting.

Since they knew the moment they stopped fighting, they would give the Desert Sand Men a chance to rebuild their bodies and attack with more power.

Shouts and screams filled the air as the Celestial Heavenly Sect Soldiers fought with all their might against the undying Desert Sand Men.

It was as if they were not killing them at all.

Among the soldiers on the ground, Su Ming, covered in sweat and sand, swung his weapon domineeringly, harvesting the lives of the Desert Sand Men, and he shouted,

"Don't let them push you back. Push them back!" His voice resounded throughout the battlefield.

In the sea of hundreds of thousands of Desert Sand Men, the thousand Bronze Metal Armor soldiers looked so tiny that it was nearly impossible to detect them fighting.

However, the augmentation of the Bronze armor made every one of their attacks so devastating that shook the ground.

An attack from a single soldier would harvest tens of Desert Sand Men.

Besides, the armor did most of the attacking since the soldiers only needed to use a little bit of their Qi blood essence.

Nevertheless, they were still human after all.

After fighting for hours without end, they were already on their last leg, and the Desert Sand Men were overwhelming them.

Just as they were on the brink of despair, a powerful Starlight sword strike covered almost half of the battlefield with deadly sharpness that sent shivers down spine of the soldiers on the battleground.

The sudden Starlight sword strike cleaved through the battlefield like a celestial comet.

Its brilliance casting an ethereal glow that contrasted starkly with the dusty chaos of the yellow sand.

It was a breathtaking display of power, as if a divine force had intervened to save the beleaguered soldiers.

The blade, a shimmering beacon of hope, moved with breathtaking speed, leaving behind a trail of incandescent afterimages that marked its passage.

As it cut through the ranks of the Desert Sand Men, it seemed as though a gateway to salvation had opened amidst the despair.

All the soldiers were astounded, their jaws dropping to the ground.

For a couple of moments, every one of them stopped attacking and looked at the devastating sword in awe.

Just as the soldiers were astounded by the sudden attack, they heard a cold voice that sent them back to the land of the living.

"Are you going to continue looking like a fool or what?!" Su Yen's cold voice rang from the distance.

At once, all the soldiers turned their heads and looked at Su Yen coming from the distance on his horse.

Seeing their sect master, the blood of the tired soldiers soared, and their morale shot through the roof.

Immediately, the exhaustion in their body disappeared into thin air and was now renew with brand new vigor that pulsated through their veins.

Without further ado, they raise their weapon with firm determinations and scream.

"Die!"

As for Su Yen and Huang Yin, they jumped off their horses when they were only a couple of meters from the horde of Desert Sand Men and began a massacre.

Huang Yin's whip danced back and forth, leaving a shadow of a deadly brutal snake behind as it crushed every desert man in her path.

Su Yen, not to be outdone by his woman, used his movement skill combined with his sword attack, leaving a trail of shattered desert men in smithereens.

While also, notifications were beeping in his head.

For a couple of minutes, Su Yen and Huang Yin caused havoc everywhere they passed through, reducing the pressure on the town and on the soldiers.

Suddenly, Su Yen creased his brow and stopped his attack. He looked into the distance and saw the dead Sand Men reforming and coming back to life.

'So this is it…' He mused with a frown creeping up his face.

He stared at the reforming Desert Sand Men without doing anything, his head racing with various thoughts.

'There is nothing like immortality or an untellable existence. There must be a weakness…'

'Weakness… Yes… I must find their weakness.' He thought, and his eyes roamed the battlefield that had almost turned into a desert under the presence of the Desert Sand Men.

'Desert… Desert… Dry land… Dry land' He gnashed his teeth and took a breath as he knew he was close to the truth.

"Yes!" He exclaimed as a bright smile crept up his face.

"Open the gate and start bringing water," Su Yen commanded, his voice resounding throughout the battleground.

When he turned to look at the Desert Sand Men and with a knowing smile and said,

"What will happen to your dry body when we pour water on it?"
