Chapter 57 : Breakthrough Qi Refinement stage 7... Arrival of the Crimson Jade Pavilion young master.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations. You've broken through to the peak of Qi Refinement realm, stage 7.]
[Your experience with the Astra Starlight Sutra has increased.]
[You've leveled up.]
[Cultivation Technique: Astra Starlight Sutra (Low Earth Grade Lv2)]
Su Yen opened his eyes when he heard the notification in his mind, and a satisfying smile appeared on his face.
Now, he didn't have the time to be idle. The threat of the Ancient Seal Demons was greater than him being idle.
Therefore, he cultivated with every little time he had. He knew the threat the Barren Land would face in the coming days or months wouldn't be simple, and he could only defend his land with enough strength.
He walked out of his cultivation room and sat under an ancient tree, making tea for himself. He sipped the tea, and its soothing taste and calming effect made his mind relax a bit.
He raised his head, looked at the bright burning sun, and thought for a moment before sending his consciousness into his Spirit Comms and removed it from "Do Not Disturb."
Even though he hadn't made the new upgrade available to the public, his Spirit Comms had already been upgraded. Immediately, he took his Spirit Comms off 'Do Not Disturb,' and he received a call immediately.
'Sect Master, we've been trying to connect with you, but we can't…" Elder Jie asked, his voice laced with concern.
"Nothing happened. I'm just cultivating. Why did you call?" Su Yen responded calmly.
"Ahem. We've completed the recruitment. I want to know if there is anything you would like to add," Elder Jie said.
"As long as you follow what I gave you, there is nothing for me to add. How many did you recruit?" He asked.
"We were able to recruit five thousand between the ages of 12 to 16. As for those below 30 years, we recruited one thousand," Elder Jie reported with his voice laced with excitement.
"Good!" Su Yen nodded, his face full of happiness. "Send me the details," he commanded before ending the call.
At the outer section of the Celestial Heavenly Sect, Elder Jie looked at the people below with a bright smile on his face.
'Who would have expected my Su clan to have developed rapidly under the care of the young master?' He mused happily, soothing his long white beard.
'When the patriarch comes back… I wonder how shocked they would be.'
'Besides, what is taking them so long on the journey? They should have been back by now...' With this thought, he looked in the direction of the Southern Barren Land with his face etched with concern.
Throwing the unnecessary thought out of his mind, he began to issue orders to the deacons.
With fresh blood coming into the sect, the sect was no longer empty as before. The sect was bustling with the new recruits moving back and forth, trying to get used to their new home.
The Celestial Heavenly Sect was different from the Ancient Sect of the legend. This sect not only focused on fighting and cultivating.
It was divided into: Blacksmith Academy, Alchemy Academy, Formation Academy, Knight Academy, and Lastly, The Intelligence Academy.
Apart from that, the Mission Hall, the Library, the Battle Hall, Contribution Hall, and the Administrative hall were the general halls available for all sect members.
The Knight Academy focused on the talent and spiritual root while the other academies focused on the affinity toward each academy.
As for the Intelligence Academy, their recruitment was bizarre, leaving people wondering how they recruited someone. Besides, they had the fewest people among them.
As for those below 30 years, they were the guest deacons. They were sent to various academies to handle various miscellaneous jobs.
Every member of the sect was given Spirit Comms by the sect. The Spirit Comms were vastly different from the public ones.
When the new recruits received the new Spirit Comms, they were astounded and excited. Even though some of them had spirit comms, they needed to use the new spirit comms given by the sect.
As time passed, members of the Celestial Heavenly sect developed a sense of belonging to the sect
Even though the sect was new, many ancient techniques and cultivation manuals left most of the students astounded.
Most families in the Barren Land cultivated an unranked technique and martial art. None of them had ever seen a mortal rank technique, not to talk of an Earth Rank Technique.
But now, they were available in the sect.
As the Celestial Heavenly Sect was moving slowly, on the harbor of the Southern Sea port, a majestic ship arrived, creating waves that were impossible to ignore.
Waiting on the sea shore, three people dressed in blue and yellow waited with anticipating smiles on their faces.
Creak!
The ship opened its massive entrance, and a group of strong warriors marched out of the ship. Each of them had a strong aura that could suffocate any mortals.
Each of the guards was at the peak of the body-building realms with strong killing intent.
They looked at the Barren Land with obvious disdain on their faces. As for the branch managers, the guards didn't have any hint of respect on their faces.
Even though the guards were arrogant, they formed a neat formation on the shore as they looked at the massive ancient ship in reverence.
A couple of maids followed after the guards before two seductive women with revealing dresses came out. They stopped in their tracks and looked at the southern sea harbor with ridicule.
"Why did the young master bring us to this backward place? We must leave as soon as possible," one of the two ladies said in annoyance as she turned and looked at the ship entrance.
As for the other lady, she had an unsightly expression on her face but remained calm, looking at the entrance with her thin waist swaying seductively.
Shortly, a young man came out of the ship, and standing behind him was an old man in a black robe. Hanging on the waist of the old man was an old rusty sword.
The dashing young man looked at the Barren Land with a slight frown on his face before shaking his head, walking out of the ship with his chest puffed outward, and the corner of his lip raised in disdain.
"You must be the three branch managers," He said, staring at the three people bowing before him.
"Welcome, Young master…" They chorused.
