Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 70 : This is going to be a long battle.

Chapter 70 : This is going to be a long battle.

Looking at the giant Desert Sand Men standing in front of the mysterious ancient city, Biyu had her heart in her throat.

Compared to the current Sand Men, it was like comparing an ant to an elephant.

They stood proudly with their long sand spears. Their bodies bulged, tall with glistening, piercing gazes.

Also, the aura coming from their bodies was not of the Body Building realm. Each of them was in the Qi Refinement realm.

Hundreds of thousands of Qi Refinement realm warriors with undying abilities. How in the heavens were they going to defeat them?!

Coming from the tall dune, Biyu's team appeared, looking at their commander in confusion.

Had they arrived at the mysterious ancient city? They all thought.

They looked at her for a moment before following her gaze.

They gasped. Their hearts skipped a beat, and they sweated profusely. Even their steeds neighed in fear.

Previously, they thought the Desert Sand Men were only the weaker ones, in the Body Building realm.

How wrong could they be? Their enemy was way more dangerous than what they all thought.

The soldiers exchanged subtle glances before looking at their commander.

"Commander, what is your order?" His vice asked in a low voice. He was a middle-aged man with vast experience.

As cavalry, their mission was different from others. Looking at the mysterious ancient city, she shook her head and sent her consciousness into her Spirit Comms.

"The Ancient city has been discovered. I repeat, the ancient city has been discovered. What are your orders?" She reported.

Outside the desert, Su Ming received the call, and the calm expression on his face turned solemn before he responded.

"Retreat. I repeat, retreat immediately."

He disconnected the call and looked at the standby elite soldiers with a burning gaze.

However, he didn't command the elite soldiers. He called Su Yen directly and reported everything to him.

As for Su Yen, he only responded with a single word: "Proceed."

With that, Su Ming's expression became stern and solemn. He looked at his men and shouted.

"It's our turn. Let's end this quickly and go home to our families."

"Aye!" Ten thousand elite soldiers roared with excitement.

Jumping on his horse, he led his battalion into the ongoing, hot, deadly battle.

When the elite soldiers entered the fray, the common Desert Sand Men were slightly scared by their aura.

Their horses were Grade 0 beasts, while the aura from the riders was intimidating enough to give everyone a fright.

The tired soldiers were full of joy when they saw their elite soldiers. However, with the speed at which they were traveling, they soon realized they were not here to save them.

Seeing this, the rising hope in their hearts and their joyful smiles disappeared immediately, turning into despair.

Each battalion commander was the first to recover before shouting at their men.

"What are you doing?! Defend the line... We can't let these wretched devils into our defense."

"Kill!"

"Don't stop killing!"

"Change position! Shields up! Shields up!"

"Ah! Ah!"

"Take the injured to the center of the formation! Someone should, God damn it, fill his position."

Various commands were flying back and forth in the desert. The soldiers were on the brink of despair, yet they followed each command.

The injured ones were brought to the center of the formation while another person replaced him immediately.

Even though the battle formation and armor gave them an edge over the desert sand men, under the undying abilities of the sand men, bodies began to pile up like a small mountain.

The yellow sand was covered in red, broken armor scattered everywhere. Some of the lucky ones to escape the death claw had various deep injuries on their bodies.

As the hot battle was raging on, a deep, hoarse voice echoed.

"Changing to guerrilla warfare."

Meanwhile, far deep into the desert, Su Ming led his men and rushed in the direction of the cavalry unit.

Along the way, they saw the second supporting unit, and he commanded them to retreat and support those fighting at the back.

"The elite unit is here," a soldier reported.

Commander Biyu rushed forward and gave a military salute when she saw Su Ming.

"General..." She called, her voice filled with respect.

"Well done. Stay on standby," Su Ming said and led his unit deeper into the desert.

Against the scorching hot sun, the Bronze Metal Armor displayed one of its superiority.

The elite soldiers didn't feel the hot, burning heat like the others. It was as if the sun wasn't hot at all.

With their bodies in top condition, they rushed deep into the desert.

Climbing the tall dune, they saw what they came for.

Taking a deep breath, Su Ming stared at the giant Desert Sand Men and shouted.

"Attack!" He pointed his sword toward the sand men.

Dust rose to the sky as the Grade 0 horses showed their might.

Even though they were running on dunes, it didn't slow their speed at all.

In a blink, they arrived a couple of meters from the giant Desert Sand Men.

The still sand men creaked and began to move slowly, waking up from their slumber.

Roar!

They roared when they saw the intruders. Without further ado, they pounced on them, swinging their long sand spears.

"Watch out for their spears," Su Ming warned.

"Ignite," he commanded.

At once, their armor lit up in a flash of blue light, and their aura climbed up to the Qi Refinement realm.

"Wailing Ghost!" Su Ming attacked.

A sharp, glistening sword light flashed toward the giant Desert Sand Man and cut through its spear before making its way to its chest.

Bang!

A deep cut appeared on its chest, and it retreated a couple of feet with trembling legs. Yet, it failed to fall.

It grunted and looked at the deep cut on its chest as it began to close up.

Subsequently, another sand spear was forming in its hand.

Su Ming watched everything with a slight frown on his face.

'This is going to be a long battle.'
