Chapter 359: The Green Hill Foxes, Wiped Out

“Jiang He!”

Another Daemon Fox—a seven-retribution Sufferance—invoked his daemon weapons and Daemonic Pellet while burning his Dao and Yuan Spirit, bellowing in rage, “The Green Hill Foxes will never...”

Pow!

Jiang He split the Daemon Fox’s head with a single punch from the distance. With a cool laugh, his divine mind stretched out once again as he said sinisterly, “I, Jiang He, have come to visit the Green Hill Holy Grounds with sincerity. Here I was thinking that I would kill your Mahayana Eminences and leave after borrowing some stuff, but since all of you insist on being stubborn, every last one of you shall die!”

How powerful was his divine mind?

It shrouded Green Hill in its entirely and swept through every Daemon Fox.

Their brain waves could not escape Jiang He’s senses at all.

When he was still a rank-nine martial artist, he could find out if someone was lying with this move. Right now, this same move made it easy for him to decide if the Daemon Foxes held enmity or killing intent towards him.

Still...

“Gasp!”

Jiang He inhaled sharply.

Aside from the few who were scared witless, most of the Daemon Foxes dwelling in Green Hill held enmity and murderous intent toward him?

“The killing intent is very strong, too...”

“It would cause me endless problems in the future if I allow them to live. Even if they cannot beat me, it would be troublesome if they attacked my pets and eagles.”

Jiang He waved his hand and the Mosquito Cutter materialized.

With a swing of his sword, all of Green Hill was covered in endless Thunderflame Sword Qi.

It was the second technique of Three Thousand Calamities: Thunderflame Calamity.

Jiang He had set up this sword technique as an AOE skill when he created this technique. However, he tended to resort to throwing pea bombs and Doom Shrooms, which was why he did not use this technique much.

As thousands of Thunderflame Sword Qi descended, all of Green Hill appeared to have fallen ton apocalypse.

There were roars, wails, begs for mercy, and furious cursing, all mashed into one...

When the Thunderflame Sword Qi faded, the beautiful scenery of Green Hill was now hell on earth. Innumerable Daemon Fox corpses were sprawled across crushed cliffs, and were either cut in two by Sword Qi or burned to crisp by Thunderflame Sword Qi—a tragic sight that was beyond words.

Jiang He could not help blinking as he landed.

Damn it!

Did this mean...

Were they all dead?

Had his plan to bring a few Feral Kings to the Superpower Research Department go up in smoke again?

“However, this reflects my stats laterally. My ability has improved a little too quickly, which is why I don’t have a greater control over my ability. If my control was precise enough, the Thunderflame calamity would have spared two Daemon Foxes instead of killing every last one of them, which I could bring to the Superpower Research Department for experiments.”

Jiang He thought then, and resolved himself to cultivate himself for a while under the Old Tea Tree of Enlightenment after he leveled his farm.

He then walked around Green Hill and soon found the Green Hill Foxes’ treasure vault.

There were mostly medicinal pellets and piles of daemonic mystic treasures here, which Jiang He had collected before starting a search in the Green Hill’s scripture chamber.

The scripture chamber in Green Hill had hundreds of cultivation manuals.

Of course, most were daemonic cultivation manuals, and only twenty or so out of the hundreds of cultivation manuals was useable by humans, which Jiang He collected after skimming through them.

“These manuals are quite average and unsuitable for me to cultivate with, although it would be outstanding if I gifted them to someone... Oh, yes, those dead Sufferance, Convergence, and Yuan Spirit Daemon Foxes had daemonic weapons and Spatial Rings too...”

Jiang He hence searched through the many corpses and collected a huge pile of Spatial Rings.

Still, he was not bothered to check what was inside each ring...

“After so long, I’ve managed to get several hundred Spatial Rings, didn’t I?”

“I can’t use every ring, and there are too many to give everyone... that said, I could consider trading the rings for other stuff. Since my Mosquito Cutter and the Nine Heavenly Stars Body Formula are traded items, there might be treasures yet to be discovered among the average Joes.”

Sitting on the debris that was Green Hill, Jiang He whipped out his satellite phone and gave Wang Hou a call, only to get an ‘out of coverage area’ message.

He then dialed Zhou Yu’s number, but...

‘The user of this number has turned off their mobile device.’

Not one to believe in bad luck, Jiang He dialed Lin Tianzheng’s number, and only then learned that Wang Hou was out seeking ‘providence’ after asking about it. He could not be reached at the moment and might have entered some heritage site or Secret Realm. As for Zhou Yu, he had secluded himself to ascend up to divine-tier.

“Elder Lin, is there a Martial Arts Department (MAD) branch near Green Hill?”

“Yes.”

Lin Tianzheng said. “There is a MAD branch in Lingcheng District, as well as a military garrison and military elites stationed there. Vast wildlands surround it, which is where the perimeter going into Shandong District was set up—that has been developed into city base now as well, and the forces there are quite formidable.”

“Good.”

Jiang He smiled. “Well, could you contact the person in charge of Lingcheng District and have him send some people to Green Hill?”

“To Green Hill? What for?”

Lin Tianzheng did a double take. When he came to his senses, he pressed, “Did you really go to Green Hill, Jiang He?”

“Yes. They had already sent an invitation—how could I not go?”

“Are you alright? Did the Green Hill Foxes trouble you? I heard from the Ten Thousand Swords Sect that they are a powerful clan, having up to seven Mahayana Eminences and immortal items in their Holy Grounds.”

Jiang He answered truthfully, “They do have an immortal item and it was quite powerful. I had to spend quite an effort to kill the nine Eminent Foxes hiding under it.”

Lin Tianzheng was left baffled right then.

The three-retribution Sufferance Elite of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect was beside him.

Once the cultivator heard what Jiang He said over the phone, he promptly sprang to his feet as if thunderstruck. On the other hand, Jiang He was not bothered by Lin Tianzheng’s reaction and said, “So here’s the thing, Old Lin—the Spirit Qi here at Green Hill is thick, and the scenery is beautiful... uh, of course, its’ a little mangled after the battle just now, although it will be alright after a little gardening.”

“Isn’t the government promoting immortal cultivation? I think we could set up a cultivator academy here.”

“What? The cultivator from the Ten Thousand Swords Sect is there with you?”

“He’s worried that the Immortal Foxes of Green Hill would bother me after they return?”

“Hold on... could you ask him if their immortal swordsman would come to bother me as well after they return?”

The three-retribution cultivator looked ashen-faced, and he quickly yelled over the phone, “No, absolutely not! Don’t worry, Lord Jiang He! There aren’t that many immortal swordsmen in the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, and with dangers lurking everywhere in the worlds beyond, they might not even make it back, yes?”

Jiang He was speechless.

What was the name of this fella? Wasn’t his survival instincts a little too strong? He had to get acquainted with him after he returned.

A passing joke had actually made him curse his own immoral swordsman to die out!

Chuckling, Jiang He then said, “Is there a meaning to worrying about this stuff, Elder Lin?”

“Do you think that the Immortal Foxes of Green Hill would not trouble us if we do not build an academy on their territory?”

“Would the immortals and immortal daemons keep their act together and obey our laws if they return to Earth?”

Jiang He did not elaborate further then and said, “Alright, I have other things to do so I’ll hang up for now. If you want to take over Green Hill, you could do so anytime... you could just leave it be even if you don’t.”

After hanging up, Jiang He strode out of Green Hill.

Inwardly, he was becoming troubled...

“It’s the end of November now... I told Old Mu that I would help him capture two Feral Kings in three days back then, but how many days has it been now?”

“Should I go overseas again?”

Just as Jiang He was about to leave the country, a daemonic cloud flew toward him from the horizon before he could move. It stopped right in front of him and the Mahayana daemon cultivator standing on top of it was grinning broadly as he greeted Jiang He, “Brother Jiang He.”

The daemonic cultivator was well built, and there was a young Convergence novice daemon cultivator with two horns on his head beside him.

Jiang He was surprised.

Who were these daemon cultivators?

How dare they get in his way?

Still, he become delighted after his initial surprise.

He was still troubled about having no hunting grounds to capture Feral Kings. Should he subjugate these two daemon cultivators and have a word with them just to see if he could borrow two Feral Kings?

“Oh? It’s you? That little daemon who interfered with me killing the Dragoncroc Emperor?”

Jiang He’s face twitched when he recognized the young daemon cultivator with two horns. He had cut down his Yuan Spirit clone before, which looked identical to his true form.
