Chapter 390: Thunder Dao Form
Chapter 390: Thunder Dao Form
“Improve physique?”
“Thunder Dao enlightenment?”
Right now, Jiang He’s physique and qi were so overwhelming he could match full-fledged Mahayana. Moreover, eating Dragoontooth Rice every day helped clear his body from any excesses, which is why he believed his body needs no improvement.
As for Thunder Dao enlightenment?
What a coincidence.
He had cultivated the Ninefold Thunderblades and grasped Thunder Will before, which counted as dabbling in Thunder Dao.
Still, that stuff didn’t really improve his combat ability.
Nonetheless, Jiang He took a bite of the Thunder Dao Form.
He had a lot of these anyway, and he could test the flavor first.
Crack!
A thunderbolt actually erupted when he bit down on the fruit and the energy flowed along his mouth into his stomach, instantly turning into pure energy surging in his body. The energy eventually infused itself into his limbs and bones, and everything from his skin, muscles, to cells were improved by that energy.
The fruit actually turned out not to be a physical object, but the crystallization of lightning energy.
Oom!
As Jiang He’s body moved, a thunderbolt flashed for an instant over his head, and another thunderbolt shot out from his fingers when he flicked them.
He stepped out of the farm and punched out toward the horizon. With a loud rumble, the white clouds up in the skies split apart, while the air rumbled restlessly—bolts of lightning sparked from the force of the punch as well.
Jiang He was at first taken aback, before erupting in delight and laughing out loud. “I see! So this Thunder Dao Fruit actually infuses the power of thunder in my physical body and strengthens its combat ability... Most importantly, my enlightenment toward Thunder Dao has become more profound after eating the Thunder Dao Fruit. If I keep eating these...”
“I could use this to condense my cultivation up to Heavenly Immortal!”
Having understood that, Jiang He’s eyes lit up at the many Thunder Dao Fruit Trees.
There were ten Thunder Dao Fruits on each of the forty-five Thunder Dao Fruit Trees.
“450 Thunder Dao Fruits... this would definitely be enough for me to condense my cultivation... with the Revival of Qi, Spirit Qi has become more concentrated with each passing Day on Earth. Therefore, becoming immortal would not affect the Spirit Qi on Earth by much.”
Hence, Jiang He reached out to pluck all the Thunder Dao Fruits.

After he finished plucking the Thunder Dao Fruits, Jiang He sat cross-legged in meditation beneath the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment and began eating Thunder Dao Fruits.
One must say that the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment was quite awesome—Jiang He’s Thunder Dao enlightenment was much more profound, even reaching the next level just by eating Thunder Dao Fruits under its shade.
It took him around an hour to fully cultivate and consume each Thunder Dao Fruit.
After he had fully absorbed and cultivated from the first, he quickly ate a second. Soon, it was night, but Jiang He seemed not to notice it even as the farm’s moon slowly rose tot the skies, and he continued eating Thunder Dao Fruits without having dinner.
Around him, thunderbolts were cracking and flashing without rest, just as Thunder Dao over his head slowly solidified.
One does not take time into account when cultivating.
It was soon noon the next day and the end of December. The skies of Xibei had gotten much frostier and cold winds buffeted the outside world, and a sudden thick snow almost dyed all of Xibei white.
Oom!
Suddenly, Jiang He’s body shuddered. Around him, flashes of thunderbolts raged, and everything, from his skin to his bone, were sparkling with lightning.
Still, the flashes died off in no time at all, and Jiang He slowly opened his eyes.
He stood up and felt around his body. Surprised, he exclaimed, “My body... why does it feel like it is going to turn into thunderbolts as well?”
A term appeared in Jiang He’s mind then—Thunder Dao Form.
It was rumored that once a person born with Thunder Dao Form mastered their Dao Form, they would be able to physically turn into thunderbolts... He only ate around thirty Thunder Dao Fruits, and the same is happening to him already?
Jiang He could not help becoming worried.
“I’m no married yet and have no descendants yet... I wonder if my physical body’s ability to procreate would be affected after it turns to energy...”
At that thought, he did not even bother to check what other influence cultivating with Thunder Dao Fruit had on his body, and panickily left the Farm, dragging both Hu Mei and Boa Hancock into his bedroom.
Over two hours later...
“Phew!”
Jiang He breathed a long sigh, the look of worry on his face fading to some extent then as he smiled. “Luckily, it’s still quite normal right now... well, I could keep cultivating with Thunder Dao Fruits.”
“At this rate, I could cultivate Thunder Dao Form with another twenty Thunder Dao Fruits, and should be able to increase my combat power by several folds... I wouldn’t even have to use mystic treasures or mystic energy if I am up against full-fledged Mahayana cultivators, just a single punch could kill them!”
“Moreover, my Thunder Dao enlightenment is becoming even more profound. Another hundred Thunder Dao Fruits and I would reach Heavenly Immortal in Thunder Dao, thereby gaining Heavenly Immortal cultivation.”
He then headed downstairs, and found that Sora had already prepared lunch.
After Jiang He ate, he returned inside his farm to continue cultivating.
He kept at it for three days straight, and Wang Hou came to visit him on New Year’s Day.
Jiang He stepped out to greet him, and Wang Hou’s gaze twitched when he saw Jiang he. “Did your cultivation ascend again, Jiang He?”
“Just a little.”
Jiang He did not hide it, while Wang hou exclaimed in shock, “You were already a full-fledged Mahayana... if you keep ascending, does that mean you would become Heavenly immortal?”
Jiang He shook his head. “Not yet, but I would probably get there tonight... Oh!”
He breathed a long sigh emotionally, exclaiming, “It’s already 2021, and four months since I’ve been cultivating since I started out with martial arts. But even though I would ascend as an immortal soon, why don’t have a single hint of joy in ascension?”
Wang Hou was dumbstruck.
He took a long look at Jiang He, and eventually could not hold back and ranted with his hometown dialect. Jiang He did not hear it clearly, but took no concern and smiled instead. “Let’s talk inside, Minister Wang.”
Hu Mei was about to brew some tea when Jiang He turned to her and said, “Hu Mei, go to the yard and get me a tea leaf.”
Hu Mei hence headed to the farm and plucked a tea leaf off the Elder Tea Tree of Enlightenment. Jiang He then personally brew it for Wang Hou, who was still scowling and at a loss for words. “Aren’t you being stingy, Jiang He? I heard you have genuine Big Red Robe tea leaves, and you only brew tea leaves that you planted yourself for a rare guest like me?”
Jiang He simply pushed the tea cup to Wang Hou and said, “I’m blessing you with good fortune today, Minister Wang.”
Wang Hou’s expression changed at that.
In that tea cup, a single tea leaf floated on the boiled water, its textures clear and visible. Wang Hou’s body shuddered when he saw that texture—a Dao aura swirled and extended out of his body then, and he promptly closed his eyes.
Jiang He was speechless.
???
Instant enlightenment, just like that?
A look of envy appeared in his eyes.
“I envy Minister Wang so much... he could gain instant enlightenment and cultivate, while I can’t. Even if I cultivated with Thunder Dao Fruit and gained Thunder Dao Form, it does not count as personal cultivating... and doping at best!”
