Meanwhile, Li Meili who was the mastermind behind tonight's outing had already left an hour ago because she had an early schedule to attend the next day, leaving the girls to their own devices.
"I haven't had such fun in a long time," Lu Tianxin giggled next to Tang Moyu as they made their way to the parking lot where the empress's car was. But first, they needed to get out of this crowded bar and step outside in order to reach their destination.
"Same, but I keep forgetting that having Sister Yaoyao and Meili in the same place is bad for my own sanity." Tang Moyu groaned as she remembered the embarrassing topics they discussed earlier.
She wasn't officially in a relationship with Qin Jiran—no, Feng Tianyi. She corrected herself. She hadn't informed Li Meili about Qin Jiran's real identity as Feng Tianhua's older brother, but at least, Gu Yuyao already knew about it.
Still, for them to tandem and give her a crash course on how to please and seduce a man was something the empress wasn't ready for. She and Feng Tianyi hadn't reached the stage where they'd be intimate with each other.
Throughout their conversation, Tang Moyu wanted the earth to swallow her whole from the embarrassment her friends subjected her to. She had never asked for it anyway. She certainly didn't know how she should give Feng Tianyi a good—. She shook her head, feeling a blush rushing to her face.
Whether it was from the drink she had earlier or because of Li Meili and Gu Yuyao's intervention, she didn't know. Even Lin Qianrou seemed to have a permanent blush on her face as she sat next to the empress throughout the whole session.
Lu Tianxin turned to her cousin and smiled. Since Ye Yimei passed away seven years ago, she had not allowed herself to rely on another person, until she met Moyu again. She was glad that she was able to know her and Gu Yuyao. Even Li Meili and Lin Qianrou seemed nice to her and never questioned her about Luo Luo's past.
They weren't like those wealthy women in their social circle who looked down on her and gave her a mocking smile once they found out about her having a child out of wedlock. Not that she cared anyway. As long as Luo Luo understood her and he was happy, Lu Tianxin would ignore how the public perceived her.
When they were about to leave, her attention was caught by a woman who made a loud screech. There was broken glass on her feet as she staggered backward from the impact of bumping into another woman in front of her.
Meanwhile, Tang Moyu's eyes darkened and became unreadable, the moment she recognized the woman standing next to the woman who'd been yelling and making a commotion.
Xing Yiyue? What was the white lotus woman doing here? Tang Moyu looked around, hoping she wouldn't have to meet her ex-fiance again. She sighed when she didn't see Feng Tianhua anywhere around them.
She didn't want any confrontation between her and him anytime soon. Not when she hadn't sorted out how she truly felt for his older brother yet.
"I'm really sorry. I just didn't see you there earlier." The foreign woman chewed her lower lip as she looked around, hoping that she would be able to escape this commotion.
Before the empress could figure out what happened, Lu Tianxin stepped forward and pulled the wrist that the foreign woman was hiding behind her.
"Hey! I saw what happened! You were the one who wasn't looking at where you are going. Why are you blaming others for your own clumsiness?" She said with annoyance at Xing Yiyue's companion.
Tang Moyu pinched the bridge of her nose, knowing a headache was coming her way because of her cousin's impulsiveness. They didn't need to get involved with it and this wasn't the right time to play a heroine protecting some damsel in distress.
However, it seemed like Lu Tianxin thought otherwise. She had already jumped in front of the damsel and was ready to slay the dragons if she had to. This was one of Lu Tianxin's traits, which Tang Moyu wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad thing. Her cousin's courageous streak was something to be admired and wary about in her opinion.
"You what?!" Xing Yiyue's companion gasped in disbelief. "How dare you accuse me? Don't you know who I am?"
Lu Tianxin snorted at that and shook her head. Why do people think they were above others just because they think they have money and status? Don't they think of how ridiculous they were, bragging about something so superficial?
"Do I have to? It's not like your name is etched on your large forehead for me to read it, oh Great One." She said filled with sarcasm, making the other woman's face turn red from anger, clenching her fist on her side.
'Oh, dear,' Tang Moyu thought to herself. Those weren't nice words to say to pacify someone's rage. If anything, it only poured fuel to the blazing fire. Ah, it was really too late for the empress to sop her cousin now.
No doubt that Lu Tianxin's sharp tongue would cause her trouble right now and in the future. The empress started considering how she would clean up the mess her cousin had started.
