Chapter 379 - You Are That Man? (1)

Tang Moyu stared at him with wide eyes. What did he mean when he said he found the man who fathered her twins? Hadn't she told him that she wouldn't seek the man unless her little buns' lives were in danger?

Was this because she had told him about their rare blood type, Feng Tianyi went above and beyond to find him so that it would be easier for her in the future? If she had known that Feng Tianyi would seek after the man who i.m.p.r.e.g.n.a.t.ed her, she wouldn't have told him the truth for his sake.

What kind of man would allow his woman to be entangled with another man? Feng Tianyi shouldn't have tried to find that man. Tang Moyu feared that this would stir up trouble in their relationship. She didn't want them to argue because of another man and not just a man, the father of her twins.

Tang Moyu couldn't explain the complex feeling she was having right now. She wanted to yell at him, slap him for his impertinence, yet a part of her wanted to know the logical reason he had for doing such a thing behind her back.

"But why?" She asked him, not breaking her eye contact with Feng Tianyi. "Why did you have to find him?"

Feng Tianyi could sense her distraught and disappointment but her logical mind was still there, trying to understand him. Ah, he was really lucky that Tang Moyu wasn't like any other woman he'd met in the past. Other women would have slapped him on the spot, yelling right at his face for crossing the line.

"It's not that I want to, Moyu." Feng Tianyi stood up, dragging the chair with him and sat in front of her. He took her hand into his, hoping she would try to understand him. That she would listen to him first.

There was a brief silence between them as Feng Tianyi mustered all the courage he had to come clean to his woman. If anything, he had promised to her that he would never lie to her no matter how bad it would be.

"I was thinking of telling you about this on your birthday. But after giving it a good thought for a while now, I feel that this shouldn't wait. I don't want to ruin your birthday because of this, and I think you should hear this from me rather than finding this out from another person."

Feng Tianyi didn't think there would be perfect time for this. It was either he told her himself or she would accidentally find out about it on her own. He didn't want Tang Moyu to think that he betrayed her by keeping the truth from her.

When Tang Moyu didn't say anything, Feng Tianyi sighed and released her hand. He stood up once again and opened one of the drawers beside the bed. He pulled out the result of the paternity test he received weeks ago. The little buns were already aware of the result and had gladly accepted Feng Tianyi as their biological father.

Feng Tianyi gave the envelope to Tang Moyu with trembling hands before taking a seat in his previous position. There was no guarantee that Tang Moyu would accept the fact easily.

Tang Moyu eyed the envelope in her hands, then shifted her gaze to Feng Tianyi. Was she ready to know the truth? For the longest time, she had pondered if she should find the man or not. Her pride wouldn't allow her to do so and she had chosen to work harder to protect her little buns, not wanting to rely on an unknown man who had nothing to do with them.

He had fathered her twins from a one night stand that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Tang Moyu didn't have an idea how she would explain it to her twins.

"Moyu?" She heard Feng Tianyi calling out her name, bringing her back to the reality that she needed to face. Would she open the envelope or should she pretend none of this had happened?

Tang Moyu blinked and looked at his face, one filled with nervousness. Was this the reason why he was bothered these days? The reason why he thought she would hate him?

"You know you don't have to do this for me, Tianyi. I know you are worried about me and the twins but aren't you going too far?" She questioned him.

"No, Moyu. I needed to do it. It's not only for you and for your twins' sake but also for my sanity and peace of mind. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I pretend to overlook it. Please, Moyu. I beg you to not to jump to conclusions. I didn't mean all of these to happen and I'm sorry." Feng Tianyi's voice had a hint of helplessness on it.

What was so important about finding out the identity of the father of her little buns that Feng Tianyi would act like this? Did he know the man?

Tang Moyu's hand held the envelope tightly. The truth was already in her hands and she only needed to open it and read the contents for her to be able to know who fathered her children.

After five years of being alone, raising her twins without anyone to share the burden, Tang Moyu didn't think she needed to know the truth or the identity of that man. All so that he wouldn't take away the twins from her.

"Moyu, I know you are scared, but you need to know this for Baobao and Little Star's sake. You should know that some people might use this against you, especially now that you are garnering attention, not only from the Tang family, but also from those responsible for your biological mother and brother's death."

Tang Moyu considered her options. What Feng Tianyi said makes sense to her. After a few seconds, she resolved to find out. She opened the envelope and flipped open the paper to read its contents. Her eyes widening upon reading the names on the test.
