Chapter 383 - Cross the Line (1)
Sleep evaded Feng Tianyi as he watched Tang Moyu and their children sleep through the night. Tang Moyu was right. It was unfair for the two of them. They were two different people, totally estranged from each other.
Why did they need to lose everything before they could meet each other? Was his accident supposed to change him? To prepare him for his meeting with their little buns?
It was hard for Tang Moyu alright, but it was also equally difficult for him. He could lose everything that he had because of this confession. It was a double edged sword that could hurt him, ruin him in both ways.
Keeping Tang Moyu in the dark for too long would mean betrayal on his part, while coming clean like this would mean that he might lose his relationship with Tang Moyu and his children.
Like any other normal couples, he and Tang Moyu had disagreements, but at the end of the day, they were willing to work together to get on the same page. But this… how were they supposed to get over this issue?
Feng Tianyi only had a few hours of sleep before he was awakened by Xiao Bao's voice the next morning. He cracked an eye open and saw the boy sitting on the bed next to him while Little Star was seated with Tang Moyu in front of the vanity table, braiding their daughter's long hair.
"Morning, Daddy." Xiao Bao greeted him with a wide grin. "It's time to get up."
Was he too exhausted last night that he wasn't able to wake up on time? Feng Tianyi wondered.
"Why are you up so early?" He asked the little boy, who was clearly dressed up. It seemed like all that's left is for Feng Tianyi to wake up.
"Huh? It's not early anymore, Daddy." Xiao Bao said as Tang Moyu noticed how easily her children acknowledged Feng Tianyi as their father.
"What time is it?" Feng Tianyi sat up and ran both hands over his face. He had no idea what time he had fallen asleep last night, but was sure that it took him hours after Tang Moyu slept.
???About ten in the morning. Get up and have breakfast. We'll be leaving to do some sightseeing and shopping with Sister Yaoyao and Meili today. You boys can stay here and wait for us." Tang Moyu was the one who answered his question.
Feng Tianyi stared at her for a moment before he pushed the covers away from him and allowed Xiao Bao to tackle him on the bed. He g.r.o.a.n.e.d, but didn't complain over the sudden attack from his son.
"You better sure you look after your mother and sister, okay? Don't let Little Star out of your sight." He ruffled the boy's thick and slightly longer hair, which would need another haircut soon.
"En." The boy easily agreed to his request. Since it was rare for their Mommy to be free from work and accompany them like she was today, Xiao Bao decided to enjoy the day with her and his twin sister.
"But Daddy are you sure you won't be coming with us today?" Xiao Bao asked him.
"I'll be fine. I need to finish some work and sleep a bit more." Feng Tianyi assured the boy before pulling himself on his feet to start his day.
Allowing Tang Moyu to have some space from him today should be enough for him to sort his thoughts and plan for what to do next. He couldn't force Tang Moyu to accept the truth easily and pretend that everything was okay between them when it wasn't.
"You're going to have lunch outside?" Feng Tianyi asked a short time later when he emerged from their bedroom and stepped into the kitchen where everyone was gathered. Tang Moyu, along with Gu Yuyao and Li Meili were just finishing the list of supplies they needed to buy later while the little buns were patiently waiting for them to be done.
Little Star was wearing a pale pink sundress, her hair tied in twin braids and a hat placed on her head to protect her from the heat of the sun outside. Meanwhile, Xiao Bao was wearing a white shirt and a pair of blue shorts and black sandals on his feet. Similar to his twin sister, he had a?black baseball cap on top of his head.
"Yes, I think so." Tang Moyu replied as she checked the time on the clock hanging on the wall in the kitchen. "I'm not sure what time we will be back, so I think the four of you can feed yourselves while we are gone."
She then shot her younger brother a glare.
"Beixuan, no drinking at this time. You hear me?"
Tang Beixuan fought the urge not to roll his eyes over his sister's command. How did she know he wanted to share a drink with Qin Jiran and the rest anyway?
"Yes, Mother. I hear you." He responded with sarcasm.
"Mommy, can we go now?" Little Star asked their mother with a deep frown on her cute face. They'd been waiting for them for half an hour now and the young girl was eager to leave with her brother.
"Sis! You should go now! Look, even Little Star can't wait for you to be done. You aren't planning to buy everything, are you?" Tang Beixuan didn't waste his chance and convinced his older sister to leave.
Tang Moyu slightly narrowed her eyes on him suspiciously. Was her younger brother planning something today? She hoped he wouldn't cause any problems for Feng Tianyi and the rest while they were gone.
She heard her best friend snort beside her.
"Don't mind him, Moyu. He was just too engrossed in his online game, he didn't sleep last night."
"Oh, is that so? Beixuan, you and I have a deal. I will fire you if I hear that you are slacking at work." Tang Moyu warned her brother.
